The stand setting is very picturesque. it sits next to old barn buildings; the cows are not far away -across and little further down the street. Why is there a line and double park cars going down this narrow road ? It must be good when you can't even get into the parking lot and the line to order wraps around. Locals were saying how they sell out of specialty flavors. After 25 mins under the Sun I'm expecting this to be great. And it was. Love their simple flavors, everything was creamy. Wow this place is so cool! Nice a unique and super local ice cream shop. The ice cream itself was so fresh and delicious. The place opened in the afternoon and we got there 20 min before it opened. People were already starting to form a line that's how you know it's good! They literally have the cows in the field right next to the shop. Wonderful small spot for some ice cream. Always fresh with milk from their own cows and a large variety of flavors. I had what I believe they called the Contoocook split. Their rendition on a banana split. My girl had a milkshake and we were both very pleased. The service had nothing but smiles and were very friendly. The only thing keeping this from 5 stars were the fact that the picnic tables were not clean and there were not enough of them. Wow!! I feel really lucky to live just 20 mins from this delicious ice cream spot. Cute setting being that is is on a small family farm. Grass to sit on and cows presumed to have provided the delicious cream that made this ice cream. We had pumpkin cheesecake, apple butter with ginger snaps, cherry cheesecake and the oatmeal brown sugar. Each flavor was just delicious. Sooo creamy. I usually get a small sized and even a kiddie when getting ice cream out. Not here! I truly do love this place and i would rate it a 5 but I'm hoping something other than a 5 might actually draw their attention. Everything about this place is wonderful except the wait time. I know that sounds a bit dumb but sometimes people just want to go and grab a quick cone or some ice cream to go and don't have time to wait in line for 45 minutes because there's only one window and maybe one or 2 people scooping. I love that they're growing and they're so popular but if your customer base is growing you need to grow your business as well. ie hire more people, at least on the weekends. As well as make more of the seasonal flavors so by the time Sunday afternoon rolls around there's not just the boring "sweet cream, vanilla, chocolate and strawberry" left. Again love love love this place but i think they need to get on the ball a bit. read more
