Ever since I found this place I never stop coming here. The meat is fresh and they do specific meat cuts on request clean place friendly staff. My boyfriend loves it too. Prices are amazing too for the quality. I make this a butcher trip every once a month since I live an hour away. read more

This place is about 1.5 hours a way from me and this is where i get my beef and pork butchered. The staff here are outstanding and very willing to help. Worth the drive for me. The Boss (wife) & I road tripped to Catoctin Mountain Park for a bit of hiking. After several hours, decided to get a bite to eat. "Shuff's Meat Market" happened to pop-up. Since there are no more (true) meat markets left where we live, decided to do a drive-by. Wow! Great selection of meats but even more than that, the Staff was so welcoming & helpful. They even laughed at our expressions because (sadly) we were so not used to such down-home hospitality. Drove away with a roast and 2 beautifully marinated NY Strips packed in the (former) drink cooler. Just what a small business should be. read more

Ok, this place is awesome. I randomly was told about this butcher but my dad who was randomly told about it by his coworker. Since then I've been there twice. Definitely out of my way by about 30 minutes but it was worth the drive. A little intimidating (because I'd never been inside a butcher) but everyone was super nice and helpful in getting me to decide what thickness to get my porterhouses for Valentine's Day. I was trying to do something nice for my boyfriend and it ended up being a huge success. 1.5" cuts were super filling and not excessively priced! And just recently I went back for one of their meat party platters for my boyfriends birthday. Again, no idea what I was doing but I called and the woman who answered was super helpful in describing all the cuts and meats. Roughly $200 but I fed an entire party with some leftovers for steak and eggs the next day and their beef ribs alone are to die for! I will say it was a little hard getting them on the phone around noon which is when I called but it doesn't dwindle my thoughts on the place.
