The workouts are challenging but definitely doable and the trainers push and encourage you to finish but also to use correct form to prevent injuries. There are free weights and equipment ALL OVER the floor! Nothing seems like it's placed in its rightful spot. I quickly learned that members here don't rerack weights or put equipment back after they are finished using. The place is already fairly small so the fact that there is equipment scattered all over the floor makes getting a good workout almost impossible. Speaking of equipment, it's very limited. I can only speak for the women's locker room but it wasn't clean. Also you can only sign up for a year contract which gives scam to me so I'd just avoid this place altogether if I was you. You can find someplace better.

We have paid faithfully month after month for a decade. We recently even added a brand-new membership for our 13-year-old son because we believed in this gym and planned to continue here as a family. Tonight was supposed to be a meaningful family moment. My older son, who is ACTIVE DUTY U.S. ARMY, is visiting and wanted to work out with us. These moments are rare when your child serves our country. We were excited to train together as a family. All I asked for was a simple one-day courtesy pass. Not a free month. Not special treatment. Just one workout. The front desk didn't even try to help. They did not offer to check with a manager. They did not try to find a solution. They did not show any empathy. They simply said, "That will be $20," and that was it. After 10+ years of loyalty, a brand-new youth membership, and an active-duty soldier standing in front of them, they showed zero flexibility and zero humanity. This wasn't about money. It was about respect. The lack of appreciation for long-term members and military families is shocking. My children watched this happen -- including my son who serves this country -- and it was embarrassing and heartbreaking. A company this large should understand loyalty, family, and service. Unfortunately, LA Fitness Kearny showed none of those values tonight. We left feeling disrespected and seriously reconsidering continuing our memberships. Very disappointing.

While checking my bank statement, planet fitness charged my account twice in April & May for a different amount. I called the California facility in regard to this matter & found out that a planet fitness in New Jersey use my account for someone I don't even know. I called the New Jersey planet fitness & 1st I was told no manager was on the premises, then I would receive a call back from the regional manager. It has been 7 days with no call back or results for this matter. I also made another call to the facility yesterday & the same female told me that " no manager was on site" again. Then all of a sudden another woman gets on the phone & stated she was the manager but could not assist me. She would not provide me the regional manager email or phone number. Then she hung up in my face. I feel like it's a inside job & they know it. Why keep brushing me off? Someone needs to refund me my money no matter what. DO NOT trust these people with your information.

They greet me…read morewhen I walk through the doors, encourage me when I struggle, correct my form to keep me safe, keep me going when I'm ready to quit, and make sure to tell me when they think I have done a good job. Prior to my first flight at Arrival, I had never tried a CrossFit class. By the time I finished my first WOD, all of my fears and preconceived notions surrounding CrossFit culture were disarmed and I immediately felt part of a new community. After a couple years of inactivity, I had been craving to get back into my body - to be comfortable with and proud of myself - but did not have the knowledge to do so on my own. Now, after a short time at Arrival I am beginning to feel powerful, strong and excited to work out again. It was very easy to reserve my spot to store luggage at this facility. I was coming from Newark airport and I needed to drop off my luggage for a few hours so that I could participate in an event and not have to lug it around the city. It's very easy to check in with the information that was sent to me an email before I had arrived. They made sure that my bag was secure and labeled. At no point did I feel like there was going to be any issues with my bag based off of the room that houses the luggage and the procedure of handing my baggage over to them. I stored my luggage here for about six or seven hours, and there was no issues with retrieving my luggage when I came back. It was the same procedure as check-in almost. It really was a lifesaver for me because I did not want to carry my baggage for seven hours on my back and it was very reasonably priced. Accessing the facility is reasonably close to Newark Penn Station and it's just a short walk. Thanks a lot.

It's annoying for a day, then you get used to it and never notice it again. Turn your noise cancellation on like a big boy. There's always parking. You never wait too long for a machine or a bench. No one is talking shit about you in another language. There are weights to lift and cardio machines. Just exercise and leave. Hit up a massage parlor if you need your ass kissed.
