This salon quoted me for my hair dye job and then after I agreed and sat down they tried to increase the price saying how dark my hair is. But they should have considered that in the original quote. I felt like something was off so I left. I went to another salon that quoted me for much cheaper. Please be careful and don't get scammed. Let me start by saying that my friends have razzed me for driving two hours to get my hair cut by a barber I liked. That said., Since I moved to Vancouver, WA. in 2022 I have been a frequent customer. Nam is FANTASTIC! Also, patient, always skillful and professional. I mean he has been here for 25 years!!!!! As for the rest of the staff, this place is always busy, customers coming and going or waiting to be next. Everyone is friendly and courteous. Truly i cannot say enough. As a picky older fellow, I am more than pleased with these hard workers. in three years i have never had a problem, and if Nam thought I was not pleased, he always asks me. It's been about 10 years since I have been going here every 2-3 weeks for a cut and brow wax. I've tried a few other places occasionally to make sure I'm not "missing out" and end up paying twice as much and each time I regretted it. My first time here, Vivian was my hairstylist. I made my appointment to get highlights. Vivian was such a sloppy and aggressive hairstylists with me. The result showed exactly that, I was so unhappy and embarrassed with the job she had done that I decided to go back the next day. My hair turned out nothing like my inspiration picture. My highlights were orange gold and i wanted blonde highlights. When I went back the next day to show her how ugly her job was..she was defensive racing her voice snatching my phone from my hand and the other Asian guy in the register was like no we don't give any refunds because she spent 4 hours on your hair which was false it was 2 15 min. I said ok half refund because I needed to go get this issue fixed with another more professional hair salon. They refused, all they could offer is toner on my hair. Went in on a Tuesday asking for a quote on color and cut. I showed the lady what I wanted. She repeated herself like 5 times saying she can't do it but never gave me a reason why. I asked if she can just cut my hair. She looked irritated but nodded her head and pointed for me to sit at the chair. I love this place. I bring the husband and the kids here every two weeks. The girls here are so nice and wonderful to talk to. The prices are extremely affordable and we always get good haircuts. When you go to some other places like Sport Clips you get some random girl that has no idea how to cut hair. This place is highly recommended by a lot of other people too. My husband has been getting his hair cut by Nam for probably 20 years. I FINALLY had Nam color and cut my hair and OMG I've been missing out!!! He did a really unique technique which was a mixture between balayage and highlights. It turned out so good and the more it grows out the more balayage it will look but without any hard lines. Let me tell ya, this place is the bomb if you are short on time. I can usually pop in here for one thing or another and get assistance right away. Not only are they good for the quick was, they also do quick men's cuts. I have brought my kiddos here several times and most of the time, they are all fixed up in roughly ten minutes each. Today, I came in to get my eyebrows done. It has been over a month and I lost my tweezers at home so my face was starting to look like I had two caterpillars living on it. And to make matters worse, the grey hairs were starting to do their own thing. Unacceptable, really. I walked in and as usual, was greeted by a friendly face and told to have a seat in The chair in back of the shop. No problem. I waited about 3 minutes before a woman came to take care of me. In that time is where I found the negatives. Y'all, it was pretty gross at the wax station. I don't know if I just never noticed it but, yo, this was not a good look. The utensil stand, wax container, chair, and even the towel you rest your head on was super gross. I was glad when the woman came over and removed it, but then she just put it on my chest! Not sure why but yuck. Again, I've been here before and don't recall it ever looking or being in such a state so I just kinda took it all in and let her wax my brows. She did a good job too. There was no boiling hot wax used. No ripping the strips off my face super hard and rough. She brushed the brows and trimmed and plucked afterwards accordingly. Her breath was pleasant, and that is great because she was engaging me in good conversation. Overall giving me 5 star service. When done, I was handed a $10 bill which is awesome for such a great wax. I'm used to paying much more and it taking much longer. Overall, I would rate this spot a 4. It would be higher if the wax area had been cleaner but to be fair, the rest of the shop looked good. I plan to come back and if that area still looks grimey, I might have to say something. read more

This salon is hit and miss - my friend got a great hair cut, however mine was total miss! I was in tears over how badly (Christie?) butchered my hair. I even showed her pictures - yet she cut my hair about 6 inches shorter than I wanted. She literally grabbed the back of my hair and chopped it off and barely did anything to it after coloring. My cut is a disaster! The back is uneven, the layers are choppy - I even pointed out to her that the front of my cut was very uneven. One side was 3 inches shorter than the other side - she didn't even match up the front - she just cut down the longer side and called it good. The color? I had to go and have the color fixed along with the cut at another salon it was so bad (Words cannot describe :-( ). I am very angry with the way I was treated and the poor quality of work performed by my stylist. Due to this I will not ever recommend! read more

Needed a trim and happened to be hanging out in Vancouver Mall. Walked in 45 minutes before closing and asked if anyone had time to do a cut and the man at the counter said yes of course! Was very nice and they sat me right down. All I said to the woman who cut my hair was that I wanted some new layers and a little trim off the bottom and she said okay! They had time to take my walk-in haircut and was helped within 5 minutes. The woman who cut my hair ( I can't remember her name) was very nice, talked with me, and made me feel comfortable. I showed a picture of what I wanted and she was able to duplicate it! What I wanted was not an easy task because it was a drastic change! She did a wonderful job. My life has been defined by a few bad hair cuts and many many good ones, this is the worst. Worse than the 80's side spike. Worse than when I had the tips bleached in the 90's. Worse that when my mom put a bowl over my head and chopped away. Worst. When in today for a trim. I wear a longer combover style and I needed a trim before heading to a Memorial Day BBQ so I stopped in. Store was not busy and I sat with Nam and his brother right away. They trimmed, i put my hat on and I went home to shower and get ready. When I went to style my hair I noticed that the back area near my cowlick I had many short hairs sticking straight up through my combover!!! To add insult to injury when I went back in to let them know they told me no refund, my hair was BREAKING. Now I have had the same barber for 10 years and he never let me know about this. Took my 5 yr old nephew in to get a haircut- dude who did it was pissed because he wanted to watch the football game rather than tend to his customer- asked him to keep it long on top and he chopped of all his hair. Found out that he nicked the back of his neck. He was rude, did a horrible cut and then got mad wen we told it was to short. It literally took him 5 minutes to give him a horrible haircut- then went back to watching the game. I will never go there again. read more
