I spent almost four years researching and looking for the right surgeon for my breast reduction. What makes Dr. Harake truly unique is his autoaugmentation breast reduction technique, which creates beautiful fullness and shape without implants. I could not find another surgeon offering the same approach, and the results exceeded all of my expectations. I am now four weeks after surgery, and my results are amazing. My breasts have a beautiful, natural shape, and my recovery has been much easier than I ever imagined. Sometimes I forget I even had surgery because I feel so good. My incisions are healing very well, and Dr. Harake follows my progress closely, seeing me regularly to check my healing, clean my incisions, and make sure everything is progressing perfectly. I returned 3 more times, saw 4 different people, a different one for each visit, got the wrong diagnosis, no proper follow up, and no biopsy was taken until I asked for one on the third visit. They only prescribed my steroid pills and cream, and no proper research was done. Finally, they said it was an allergy, at which point I went to the head of the Allergy department at Henry Ford Hospital. He said it was not an allergy at all, and I needed to see a good Dermatologist. I went to the Dermatology department at Henry Ford Hospital; they took a new biopsy and diagnosed me with Grover's disease in less than two weeks. They told me to stop taking all the steroid cream and prescribed a 3-step plan for my disease. I will NEVER return to Eastside again, and I recommend no one else goes to them either. Also, the visits were extremely short and yet they charged for each one. I wrote them a letter and refused to pay for unprofessional service and inaccurate information.

At one point, this office incorrectly submitted my son's appointment to the insurance company as female, which caused the claim to be rejected. Despite the fact that the same insurance had successfully paid previous visits, we were suddenly charged over $600 to our debit card. It took an unreasonable amount of time and effort on my part to resolve a mistake that was entirely theirs. Most recently, I called simply to request a medication refill for my son and asked for an explanation as to why refills were no longer being authorized. Instead of a professional explanation, the dermatologist got on the phone and spoke at length about how hurt and upset he felt by my questions, said he felt uncomfortable, and then terminated the doctor-patient relationship on the spot. When I mentioned that there are many similar one-star reviews describing comparable experiences, he stated that he felt "threatened" and hung up on me. I have never experienced a physician responding to reasonable questions with personal emotional grievances or abruptly cutting off care without explanation. This behavior is deeply unprofessional and concerning, especially when it involves a child's medical treatment. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend avoiding this practice.

I was 32 years old when I got my SMILE procedure done at this facility. I had worn corrected vision…read morelenses since I was 15 years old. I had thought about doing LASIK (I didn't even know what SMILE was until I came to this facility for a free consultation) for a few years, but never came around to being serious about it until my employer offered FSA. I looked online, and this facility had the best reviews, so I decided to give them a call. I would never try to cheap out on a life-altering surgery on my only pair of eyes. Everyone that I had dealt with was extremely friendly. If my memory serves me correctly you will have your free consultation, then a few days before your scheduled surgery you will go in for another checkup and Dr. Haddad will walk you through the process. The surgery was pretty quick and went smoothly. When I got home I went straight to bed, woke up with some minor pain (I had forgotten to take another Tylenol), rested for a bit, and then went back to sleep for the night. The next day I went in for my checkup and everything turned out great. My vision is now 20/10. I didn't experience any of the concerning side effects (e.g., glows, difficulty driving at night) that some encounter. The only thing that I noticed is that my eyes were a little dryer than normal during the winter months (having your heater turned on will obviously remove moisture so that made sense) and this is easily remedied by using artificial tears (I rarely needed to use, but it's good to keep some at home). I would highly recommend to anyone that can afford corrected eye surgery to come here. Remember that you get what you pay for, so while this place may not be the cheapest, it definitely is worth the cost. Also for those that do not know, SMILE does not require the creation of a flap (quicker recovery time).

It took time for my leg to heal and it was sometimes painful but Dr. Maddy 's kindness and understanding helped me get through this with a healed wound. I couldn't be happier. Further to the last post where I detailed how Holly (a registered nurse and the owner) left me with…read moresecond degree burns from the laser treatment, I have now had to be on antibiotics for some of the burn wounds becoming infected, was on prescription pain killers, had to get a tetanus shot, have been both to urgent care and the family doctor multiple times to deal with the second degree burns. And, according to the family doctor will almost certainly have permanent scars from the laser burns Holly inflicted. My lawyers have reached out to Holly to obtain her insurance info, which she is refusing to provide. Further, Holly had promised to refund the $200 gift card I had with her. She has not. And has kept an additional $50 she charged to my credit card that she was never entitled to. (Which I have filed a fraud report with my credit card company over.) Do not get treated at Reawaken Spa. Not only did Holly leave me with documented (by her, me, and multiple sets of doctors) second degree burns, but she is not professional enough to take responsibility for them by letting her insurance company and my lawyers properly settle the matter. Based on this action of her, I fear the only remedy is going to court (vice settling it between the lawyers and her insurance, since she refused that option) and filing a report with her RN licensing board because I genuinely fear what she will do to her patients, especially as a nurse.

However, when the laser came in contact with the marker, it left, what urgent care confirmed, 2nd degree burns all up and down my legs directly over the marker's marks. Urgent Care also had to put me on prescription pain killer as it was painful to sit, sleep, put on or take off pants, shower, etc. I now have medical appointments to deal with the burns well into next week. On top of all this, I drove back to the med spa an hour after the appointment to show Holly the burns (which she photographed for her own records) and she took no accountability in an email she sent hours later despite initially sending in a prescription for antibiotic ointment to my pharmacy.
