Ben Franklin won my business, having been recommended by some peers at work, and by offering a very fair price for the work and delivery. I dropped off a $50 deposit and they started work. Turnaround took about a week for a 1/4 inch table top with a flat polished edge. They called to arrange delivery (at which I paid the balance) and shortly thereafter our table was looking shiny and new. Note: the default they offer you is seamed edge (not sharp, sanded down), which is appropriate for window or auto glass, but not for a table. Anything with exposed edges like tables need a flat or beveled edge, which costs extra and takes more time to order/make. This is not communicated to you - they assume you know what you are ordering so you have to do your research and ask specifically for what you want. One minor criticism is that they were kind of hard to find; no website, online ordering system, etc. If it wasn't for word of mouth I wouldn't have known to give them a try. Also, it would have been convenient to use credit card for payment and/or deposit, but they only take cash or check (though they do accept personal checks, which is a plus). Nevertheless, the glass looks great and fits perfectly on the table. No more coasters or placemats! I will definitely do business with them again for my glass needs.

I requested an in home consultation and John Gary visited my home for an estimate. John did a good job of explaining my options, prices, process etc. I live in a townhouse community which has an HOA to work with, the team at Window world handled the paperwork and documents needed for approval. The order was placed and the windows and patio door were delivered earlier than expected. An install appointment was scheduled. The install went smooth, I will say the installers worked until 8:30 in the evening. I believe they may have under estimated the amount of time needed for the install. I would definitely recommend they arrive earlier moving forward. I was disappointed as screens came in damaged but were quickly fixed a few days later. There was a bit of a mess left outside as it was dark out when completed and I know the installers couldn't see the debris that was left outside. I was also disappointed to see that the windows were left with grime, caulk etc which needed to be cleaned afterwards. I was also not satisfied with the walk thru of the features of the windows, I did not know that the sliding window could actually be easily removed to clean them. All in all it was a good experience, the price was far less than Anderson and Pella. The warranty offered is very good. I am confident I made a good decision.

We got quotes from 3 contractors in town (Metuchen), who are all very reputable and excellent…read morechoices: La Porta, ASAP, and Ideal CDR. They all came in around the same amount, but had a lot of different takes on what to do specifically and what kind of choices to make. We liked them all, so none of this is a knock on ASAP or La Porta, as friends of ours have done large projects with them and were very happy. But we felt Al was the best guy for us, so we went with Ideal. This was a pretty big project with a diversity of things to juggle: finishing the basement, building a multi-story addition, demolition, excavation, foundation/masonry, framing, siding, windows, drywall, painting, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roofing, insulation (including spray foam insulation), stonework for porch and walkway and retaining wall, custom cabinet design for multiple rooms incl closets, hot tub crane-lifted to a custom rigging to get it onto a 2nd story balcony, new kitchen appliances and massive exhaust hood, gutters... pretty much everything except the landscaping. The before/after pics in this review don't do it justice. Through all the bajillion decisions and details and tradeoffs and nuances that came up, Al and Sunitha were really terrific to work with and help with deciding on the right course of action for us. This should work well for you if you are good and quick at making decisions. The head of the company, Al, was very easy to get ahold of during the project. We had weekly meetings, but on top of that, he'd often drop by the site (we lived in the house thru the remodel) and was very available to discuss and steer the project. Sunitha's guidance on navigating through the details and complexities of cabinet design and other operational details was fantastic. So, we definitely got very engaged with Al and Sunitha and others during this project and got to know them well. My maximum respect goes out to Al, Sunitha, Julio, Rich, Luis, Chris, Heladio, Andrew, Joe, and many others I'm forgetting to mention, as well as to all the subcontractors, who were numerous. Despite issues that inevitably arise in a project of such complexity, 99.9% of the work was completed within the 5.5 months that all the contractors (not just Ideal) estimated. He explained he had it happen to 2 other houses during covid... but not as bad as mine. The other homeowners probably saw this sooner than I did. Long story short, Chris contacted the company that made the siding.... followed up every step if the way, including ordering the siding once it was approved as warranty work, and scheduling the repairs. As soon as the siding arrived, Chris put me on the schedule the following Monday (EVEN THOUGH HE WAS GOING TO BE AWAY ON VACATION!!!). His emloyees showed up at 8 am Monday, worked all day, returned Tuesday and completed the job by lunch time.
