My tech made sure to ask for approval after every change and was quite speedy too; only 70 minutes for the attached gel set. It was my first time getting a pedicure after reopening and I felt so at ease in this lovely little gem of a place! Hahne did a great job on my pedicure. My feet are soft and my polish looks flawless. They have plexishields in place and customers and technicians must wear masks so no need to feel like you're at risk. The salon doesn't have those fancy massage chairs (which i never use anyway) but it's very clean. I will definitely return! read more

Pink Magnolia is a very clean and cozy nail salon. As for the prices they are average but for it you get high end quality nail services and very kind inviting customer service. Kim can do any design I've asked for and stays up to date on how to do nail art that is trending. Finally the selection of gel polishes is also huge and seems to grow every time I go. I went there for a pedicure and to get my acrylic nails taken off. I was greeted by a lady who didn't have a very good attitude. While she was taking off my acrylic she cut the nail too short it went to the skin which is very painful. While she was filing she cut me and it bled. After these two situations I was very tense and wanted to leave right away. After I left my fingernails looked butchered. I will never go there again. read more

Ouch! The worker accidentally scrubbed by ankle with a pumice sponge leaving the skin raw. She cut very short on the sides of the nail causing pain when I walk now... is this how ingrown nails begin?? Not sure what I can do to fix it. Every footstep I take hurts now. She also had extremely sharp and pointy nails that pricked me when they dug into my skin while she worked. It was an unpleasant, uncomfortable visit. I know coronavirus restrictions are tough in businesses but a nail place already has lots of chemicals and fumes, along with being small spaces that make it hard to distance, so I was alarmed that the worker wore her mask floating below the nostril line and not covering her nose properly. The worker said sorry about poking and hurting me repeatedly but the other workers seemed to be doing a better job with their clients... so it's a mixed review. My suggestion is this is a decent nail place... just not the worker I had! read more

Pink Magnolia Nails was PERFECT for my needs. I'm not a shellac person, so can't comment on that. I'm a standard mani-pedi girl, and that's only when I'm inclined to treat myself. Kim and (I believe her name was) Hannah were amazing. The salon is a cozy and cute environment: clean and sweet. I got just what I wanted. Happy Bonus, and I wouldn't guarantee that this will happen for you, but when Kim went to the Starbucks next door to get a round of coffees for her staff, she offered to buy me one too! Let's just say certain nail artist is not very gentle or careful. The ladies who work here are very nice but the pedicure was one of the most painful I have experienced. Their charge for the pedicure with shellac was a too high $45 plus tax. There are so many nail salons on the north shore that this is not a place I will visit again. read more

Honestly really disappointed after my last two appointments. I've had shellac done for over 3 years at Four Season and the colour stayed on for at least a week. Last two times I came to Pink Magnolia the shellac came off after 2 days!! I don't do any physical work with my hands so there's no reason it should be like this. Either it's a bad product or a bad application, but either way, I'm done with this place. read more

The service was decent while I was getting my shellac manicure and pedicure done, but my shellac seemed to be done quite poorly. After just 2 days I had one small chip on my right thumb, and then had another nail peel off slightly. The last time I had shellac completed, I didn't see any peeling or cracking for at least 2 weeks. I was on vacation and as such wasn't doing any manual labour with my hands, so this was not from excessive wear and tear. They seemed to be rushing through clients (even though I had an appointment) and I feel there just wasn't as much care put forward with my appointment. Unfortunately, I will not be booking back even though the experience at the salon was pleasant and the prices were reasonable. read more

The last visit I had was unfortunately a horrible experience. I was disappointed because I've been there several times before, with nice results. I think it depends who you get. this visit I had a pedi done, she started off by saying she would just remove a tiny bit of length which I agreed with. During the process it began to feel very aggressive, I just figured I needed a lot of cuticle removed at first but it was getting painful. Next she went back to cut my nail down further (not sure why - I would've left it where it was at) and cut all the way down to the quick of my nail, to the point where I jumped and pulled back! I've never had this before! I looked at my nail and the shape was horrible and she cut it down extremely far. I hope I don't get an ingrown nail, as she cut it right down at the corner. I was also disappointed she didn't ask about shape or length. It started off ok, but she seemed distracted when she started talking to her other coworkers. I also don't think I should have to supervise the entire process to make sure it's done properly. She also didn't do any foot filing. I don't have much rough skin on my heels, but they are rough from wearing sandals all summer and that's part of the reason you pay to have a pedicure done professionally! I'm very disappointed and don't think I should have been charged, as my 7 year old niece could have done a better job. read more

I love this place! The women who work there and gentle and friendly! The definitely aim to please. The prices are reasonable. The shop is small and quaint. Although smaller, they do host spa parties, and have encouraged me to do so! Same staff work there each day, and they genuinely get to know you and show recognition when you return. This is a long one, but people should now this place is not nearly as awesome as people think. I've been there 4 times now, and only once was I actually happy with my shellac nails (which happened to be my first time there). My friend was with me for 3 of the 4 visits and had an even worse time. The owner Kim double-booked so many customers on every visit and made no effort to rebook. The way our nails were filed were always uneven and we even had hangnails after the shellac was completed (despite us asking to please fix the finish). They never sealed the tips, and we had our shellac peel after a week (the worst for me was 1 day later). We also requested multiple times to please seal, but were ignored. My friend's nails were painted the wrong color after we were assured the color mix would match the sample my friend brought, and when it was wrong, they made no offer to fix it. When I went in to remove the shellac that peeled after 1 day, Kim told me it was my fault (I still don't understand how considering I was home all day) and charged me for the removal, as well as trying to sell my an old, dirty bottle of OPI nail envy to "fix" my nails. During the removal she said my nails didn't "look good" and said I shouldn't have gotten it done, when I had specifically ASKED prior to the application if my nails were still ok, to which she assured me they were. When my friend had her shellac removed the staff did not recognize who she was and began openly BAD-MOUTHING my friend and I to the customers there. Absolutely ridiculous. Oh, and did I mention dirty? Kim once used my friend's files/cuticle pusher on me b/c she was too lazy to get one for me, and used the same dirty towel on the both of us. Kim was always multi-tasking and would become easily frazzled and would lose focus, and when I asked her why not hire more staff, she said less money for her. SO overall, poor service, no responsibility for their work, dirty environment, and unprofessional staff! I gave them 4 chances b/c everyone said they were great, but I will not absolutely ever go back. I also had an esthetician assess our nails after the shellac, and said they were in bad shape and had not had the proper barrier and protection layers applied fyi... read more
