Then they said there was a mistake and their records were showing 12:15, but how would they know to call me? I went there few times before and in fact I got my wedding nails done there august 2022 and it was decent but this time i am lost for words. The lady who did it was very nice I give her that but I am not there to make friends. I paid extra for cuticle service too but my nails look like a 6 year old did them. Plus she even cut into my skin which is painful. I am going on vacation this coming weekend and this is just not a good start. I'm trying hard not to break down. On a whim, I was a walk in along with my friends post-brunch on a weekend. My friends got pedis but I just had one done so I asked if I would be able to get bio gel nails done and they managed to fit me in! My usual nail place just switched owners so I was looking for a new location. Glad I found them - they have a LOT of polish shades to choose from - both regular and gel. My manicurist Jane did a bang up job. They stayed intact for a whole month with a little wear and tear (but that is to be expected). I have been coming to the homer street location for a long time. The person I used to see, Irene, was great but no longer works there. Now every time I go and see someone new it hasn't been a great experience. I had a booked appointment this week and my nail tech was very rushed and even skipped steps in my gel polish change. My nails didn't look great but I really hate complaining so I just thought ok I won't be back..but when I left and saw them in the light they were so bad. There are lines, they are lumpy and some have gel stuck under the nails. I contacted them right away with pictures to politely ask if they could correct it and I haven't received a response. Unfortunately I have to remove another star. Went back for another try with acrylic nails. I could see them lifting after a week. Within a week and half they started to peel which lead to one of them getting accidentally ripped off with a chunk of my own nail while cooking. They're not even close grown out yet and I already have to look to get them replaced. Paid close to $100 with tips included and lasted for less than 2 weeks. Not worth it. read more

The nail service itself was decent but the staff kept talking to each other very loudly in their own language the entire time. This place cut my finger with the drill ... And it was soaked in acetone after... It was the most painful and scary experience ever ...& the whole time I was there I had 3 different girl switched on me. Clean, friendly, quality service. Kind of a small space and it did take an hour and a half for a mani/pedi (non-gel). But they did a great job and I wasn't in a rush. I'm sure they would have hurried had I asked. Great location too. About a 15 min walk (5min cab ride) from The Sutton, where I was staying. Look ma, no air bubbles! I'm ridiculously picky when it comes to my nails so it fills my heart with joy to look down on my nails and see essentially uninterrupted colour. I got a gel manicure which cost $35 before tax which is the same as Splashie but the quality was superior. I got an actual hand massage. Sure, you're not going to get fawned over and there will be plenty of non-English conversations you won't get to partake in but I'm pretty happy given the price. There were, however, times when I was genuinely worried that she was too engrossed in the Simpsons episode on tv to pay enough care to my nails. Also, note that at some point you'll be asked to stand up and cross the room to wash your hands at the sink. That was pretty odd to me. But in general, this is a pretty good value for the price point and I will go back for my next manicure/pedicure needs. read more

I work around the corner from Posy and was desperate for a pedi. I wear sandals every day so my heels really take a beating. They did SUCH a good job. Typically I have to go every 2-3 weeks because the callous builds up so much and she completely removed all of it. I am incredibly impressed and will most certainly come back. Mondays a pedi is only $27! For the quality of care thats the best deal I've ever ever found in Vancouver given the quality of the work. Great job ladies! read more

The salon is on a really beautiful yaletown street and the staff are so accommodating. I usually dont enjoy massage chairs but they have a really nice one. A lot of places rush but they didnt and I remember thinking it was so nice because I wasn't used to a full pedicure treatment. I was impatient when they were drying because I had to leave somewhere and messed up one of my toes and the ladies fixed it and gave me some flip flops to wear and a bag for my shoes. I'm really happy with my, first ever, gel/shellac manicure and pedicure. Nice hand, arm, lower leg and foot massage. I didn't feel rushed or talked into anything. I had two women work on me at the same time which was pretty neat-o. Very thorough, and smooth soles! I lucked out with metered parking right out front. They take appointments and I had one for 11, but came early and they got me in the foot soaker tub right away. It was a weekday. My nail tech Annie I believe was AMAZING she made my ugly bitten nails to these beautiful sparkly ones. Except for the front desk lady, she told me they weren't doing acrylic then when I said it's okay I'll find some place else she suddenly invited me in and said they can do it. Uhh okay? So I sat and Annie was doing my nails and she was taking her time which was a bit long but the outcome was worth it. The other lady keeps standing beside her inspecting how it's going and she deadass drags her chair over and sits with us..... All the ladies there were nice and I think that one lady was sorta over selling it. She also brought me boiling hot water. The price was decent and the outcome was worth it but that lady just needs to tone it down a bit. read more

I'm sorry to say, but this was a brutal experience. I wanted to get BioSculpture Gel extensions, so I went to this place after calling to confirm they offered this service. About 15 minutes into my appointment, the technician informed me that the product she was using was not BioSculpture, but some knock off Canadian brand. She assured me it was the same quality. Upon completion, the nails were a lot more flexible than I was used to, but I assumed it was just to make the extensions feel more natural. Not even 6 hours later, all but one of my nails had broken off. I did nothing strenuous. Most of them broke off from scratching my leg. Needless to say, I was unimpressed. The next day, I went back to the salon to get my money back and the remainder of the Gel removed. The woman who gave me my money back was very nice and understanding, even though she couldn't figure out how to do a refund for a credit card, so she ended up just giving me the cash. To add insult to injury, I sat in the same chair as the day before, and the disposable cup I had left on the shelf under the table was still there. To me, that just shows that they didn't clean up well. Overall, this experience was awful. I'll be going to the salon I normally go to from now on. read more

After seeing the reviews from my fellow trusted Yelpers, I decided to give Posy Nails a go. I was happy that I was able to get an appointment same day, but when I walked into the salon I figured out why... I wasn't greeted. The salon has no dedicated receptionist or assistant. Everyone was busy with their heads down as I walked in, no one made eye contact. I was a little discouraged as I was told over the phone that a mani/pedi would be no problem at my requested time. I began to doubt the quality of the salon and technicians as I saw not one, not two but FOUR staff members working on ONE client? My disappointment continued as no one offered to take my coat/shopping bags for me, nor did they offer me anything to drink (I was dying of thirst and all the other clients had tea or water... hmmm...). Finally, after a few moments of standing awkwardly at the door, someone stopped what they were doing and motioned to an empty pedi chair and turned on the water for me. I wasn't in a big rush, but the fact that no one was ready to start my services until for another half an hour realllllly annoyed me. Lost a star here. As I sat, feet soaking for almost 40 mins, I really got to watch the staff work. From what I gather, only one or two of the girls that work there are actually any good at doing nails. One person would start a mani, (remove polish, clean the nails, cut cuticles ect) but they had this weird rotation where someone else would stop what they were doing and finish the manicure while the first tech rotated out to do something else on another client? I have tried a LOT of nail salons and this is the first place that I've experienced many people working on one client. Not the greatest for customer service or quality control... Finally - after listening to Diana Krall on repeat for what seemed like forever (don't get me wrong, I love Jazz... But not on repeat or that loud! Lost another star here for the ambience) someone came over to start my pedicure. I had to ASK for something to drink, and I was rather uncomfortable with my big bulky winter coat stuffed behind me on the chair but still - no offer to have the coat hung up. The girl that did my pedicure was nice enough, I suppose... But she didn't really ask me if the water was ok, pressure for the massage was ok etc etc. And she really took her time, 1hr 20min for a pedi plus polish drying time? Perhaps she was just soft spoken and a little green? Not sure. All in all, the pedicure I had was OK. The best I've ever had? Not even close. When it came time to have my old gel nails stripped and get my mani done, as I suspected, one of the more senior techs swapped in and got to work. Jenny was MUCH more personable and even made a few jokes as she diligently worked away. She really saved my opinion of this place and secured me as a client for my hands, anyways. I have peeling, paper thin nails from having gel extensions for so long - Jenny gave me an amazing mani and topped it off with shellac polish. She really took her time and made sure I was happy with her work at each stage before she continued. A few of my nails didn't set right (previous manicure wasn't done properly), and the salon was getting ready to close. I had to run, but Jenny offered to stay on her own time and make sure each finger was perfect. I was so refreshed by this after everything else. My crankiness subsided further when I was given a little bit of a discount on the mani and even more when I was offered the first appointment on Saturday morning to get my nails perfect for the weekend. So here's the Coles Notes version: pedi not my fav, nails amazing. Atmosphere of the salon left something to be desired, but everything was spotless and the products are all top of the line. I would absolutely give Jenny another try when it is time to get my next manicure and I will most certainly update this review after I get my touch up done this weekend. read more

I recently had my nails done here and everything about the experience was great and the service was great as well. My only complaint was that I got OPI shellac and as opposed to using the shellac base and top coat it appears they used an acrylic tip and base. This unfortunately damages your nails and takes much longer to takes off appropriately. I wish that if you say that you do shellac that you actually use real shellac products and don't try to save money by using inferior product, or just let me know so I can make an informed decision. This is the second time this has happened to me at a Vancouver salon so I'm not sure if anyone does real shellac nails. read more

I have been here once for a Shellac mani. The service and procedure went really well, the cost was reasonable (on par with the rest of Yaletown), but it did not last as long as other places I have been to. It started to peel after two weeks, and my Shellac manis usually last up to three. read more
