I'm not usually one to publicly criticize a business, but I feel compelled to share our experience in hopes that it helps others make an informed decision. Before hiring any company, please take the time to thoroughly research reviews and customer experiences. I wish we had done more of that before contracting with IMAGE signs, now operating as THE SIGN GEEK, OWNED BY DEREK YATES. We hired the company to produce and install our new sign, as well as our menus. From the very beginning, the process was filled with delays, excuses, and poor communication. What should have been a straightforward sign installation turned into the longest project imaginable. The installation dragged on for months. Exposed framing and staging equipment were left in front of our business for an extended period of time, and we were repeatedly given reasons why the work couldn't be completed. To our understanding, there was no dedicated installation crew handling the project. Once the sign was finally installed, we noticed the same day that it was not properly tightened. There were visible bubbles, and sections were already beginning to loosen. We immediately brought these concerns forward and were repeatedly promised that the issues would be corrected. Instead of honoring those commitments, we were eventually told that we would need to pay approximately $2,000 for crane rental costs and provide our own staff to assist with fixing a sign that was not properly installed in the first place. Needless to say, we were shocked by that request and declined to pay additional money to correct installation issues that should have been addressed under the original contract. read more

Ordered signs and was told a week. Took over two. Needed them for an event. Only ordered 25 because money was tight. Was told we would get 10 extra. Never got them. Placed an order with another vendor for 200 now that things are going. read more

I had this company make my sign a year ago and now the lights are out and looks like I'm close. I called the owner and explained to him my situation..he then told me he would take care of it. Week goes by nothing, 2 weeks go by nothing, when I finally i got him on the phone, he was aggressive, rude. Combative and explained to me that my sign a year old, well not shit, after $5 000.00 you would think he would try to help, instead he is VERY RUDE, COMBATIVE AND BASICALLY DOESN'T CARE ABOUT HIS CUSTOMERS..Don't be fooled BEWARE!!!! read more

Guys very unprofessional. Has owed his hard working employees a lot of money that he refuses to pay after service. He hit me in the face with a tool for going in requested my pay. I went in to talk business came out with a huge cut on my face. This guy has done so many business wrong and including his past employees. Having only few employees speaks volume. Please do your research people! This sign shop is the worse. Every review here on this page is from the owner or his employees. He is a thief, a liar, and his work is sub par. I just went to court with Image Signs, from a default in a equipment lease. Image Signs held the equipment hostage for months until he was court ordered to remove the equipment. Literally any other sign shop is better than this place. read more
