A couple of weeks ago, I had really choppy layers that were growing out in an unflattering way. When I went to see my mom immediately afterwards, my mom looked at me seriously and said "I think that's the best haircut you've ever had in your life". I agree with her. DO NOT go to Madison Alvarez. I came to Images hoping to book with Rene Antonio because he listened to my requests so well last time and is honestly the best. Unfortunately, he wasn't available, and I trusted Madison Alvarez. That was a mistake. I asked for 3 inches off, and she cut 8 inches, saying my hair was "dead." She also dyed my virgin hair a color she chose instead of the one I asked for because she said mine "wouldn't look good." On top of that, the wrong sections were colored (hair color was streaky), and I was told it was because I was "looking down at my phone." I was also left alone too long while my hair was processing, and when my hair was washed, water ran down my back with no concern. $500 for a result I didn't ask for and a very careless experience. read more

To say that Al took great care of me is an absolute understatement. I came in the morning of my 46th birthday. He and his associates went above and beyond to ensure I felt special on what wasn't exactly feeling like my special day. He makes me feel so young, like there's songs to be sung! I absolutely love my (albeit shorter than I imagined) hair cut. It is much more healthy and bouncy, with lots of volume. I love the blow out he did too! & While I have waited the 16 shampoos for his amazing hair product to wear off; I did it just to see if it could be true. My hair has remained unbroken, soft and smooth for this long and I couldn't be happier. Short of a Brazilian hair straightening, this is nearly unbelievable; especially with my thin, otherwise, brittle hair. He's brought me, my smile, and my hair back to life. I owe him big time. Dayna Soliday is as good as it gets! She went to London for about a year and a half during which I tried a few different hairdressers and I am soooo glad she's back. She is the only one who is able to make my long, stick-straight, fine Asian hair look like it has body and bounce. She is always punctual, so nice, and gives a very relaxing wash. I pay $70 for a cut and always tip generously, which makes this a little bit of an expensive haircut for me, but for how great my hair looks, it's totally worth it, especially since I only cut my hair about twice a year. So I used to come here a lot as I live nearby and then my stylist left the salon. Recently I found myself in a bind due to my own poor planning. I was in the mood for a blow out. I did book an appointment and I will say this, The stylist was great, super nice and she did a good job with my simple style. I was happy with the result. My stars dropped considerably for the receptionist. When I called for the appointment I was given what felt like a hard time because I wasn't a current client and so didn't have a name of a stylist I wanted. The tone and exasperation were the equivalent of RBF (resting 'rhymes with itch' face). How do they acquire new clients? Wasn't a great sign. So, When I arrived and checked in, I shouldn't have been surprised that my smile I was met with zero expression -not even an eyebrow raise. I couldn't remember the name of the stylist I was booked with and when I admitted this I was treated to a withering stare. She deigned to look it up and then blissfully our interaction ended for now. When I left she perked up slightly to efficiently take money- still no pleasantries. The stylist was great but I won't return due to this front desk attitude. There are SO many salons around here for the occasional visit when my stylist is unavailable, why bother? read more

From long hair to cutting off 15 inches of my hair (I cried a little before that, but she convinced me because it was for locks of love). She's amazing with color! This review is for Jamie Chan. Jamie was recommended to me by an uncle who owns his own salon in Ohio. He said to me if I needed color, he could only recommend her. You can't argue with hair stylists/colorists, they know their stuff. I first went to Jamie two years ago. It was my first time doing anything radical with my hair. I have to say, when I first saw my hair, I was a little shocked. I wasn't used to light color. I did get a lot of compliments tho and loved my hair more and more as days went by. What I noticed with Jamie's coloring skills is that: 1) color lasts a long time, and 2) the way she colored my hair made it a smooth transition as my hair grew from a short Bob to a long one. I recently went back to her for my second coloring and she did a great job. I'm very undecided when it comes to what I want my hair to look like. I save all these pictures from Pinterest and they all look different. I'm glad that she can interpret what I want besides my vagueness. She's a true pro. She knows what works for her clients. Super worried about getting my hair done during the pandemic but my roots were screaming and needed a Jamie Chan miracle. Images was super great about making sure clients were healthy with temperature checks, socially distancing, and wearing masks. I live with someone immunocompromised so this was a huge relief.
