Since canceling back in August, I have been charged an additional $280 by them, split into random chunks of amounts ($25 here, $100 there...) and have literally been calling and emailing for over a month to get someone there to fix it. It would be fine if I heard something back and for some reason I am mistaken, but the fact I have received no response whatsoever is infuriating. Obviously disputing with my bank and will never go here again. Would not recommend.

The grief was disabling during the day also and I was unable to work or do day-to-day tasks, my mind was reeling. I knew there was no way I could do years of counseling to get through it, I needed something fast to help me return to normal life. I called ECC and asked Melanie what she could do to help heal me to accelerate the process of trauma, and get results and relief fast. She introduced me to EMDR and Matrix Reimprinting. I had never heard of such a thing and didn't know the technology behind them , and truly thought they sounded like a waste of time and would not work. But I was desperate. After learning how they work on the brain and body and the historical proven results, I gave them a try. Much to my surprise I was shocked to see that not only did they work but they gave fast results and relief to my grief and pain and reeling thoughts that would not stop. The effects were so positive I couldn't quite believe it could be that easy... I still am baffled and SO incredibly grateful to Melanie and ECC for having these techniques to offer to our community. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!! I was able to quickly returned to normal life. I was also able to cope with all that came after the accident well. Later that year I also had a serious incident with a family member that I was feeling similar trauma about and went back to ECC. As the first time, Melanie was able to bring me through it quickly and painlessly with these amazing techniques that seem to good to be true. More grave for me, I was very uncertain about what I would and wouldn't be able to do again. I had just started my dream job of working outdoors seasonally and feared I'd have to temper my expectations in that work going forward. Advantage came highly recommended from another clinic who was full and, while I'm sure that clinic is also great, I couldn't be more thankful that I landed in the hands of Rachel Stoner, my primary therapist, and the rest of the staff at Advantage. On the first day I met Rachel, she assured me, without hesitation or exception, that I will do the things I enjoy again. That unwavering confidence was exactly what I needed in that moment and I knew was in good hands. Rachel has been extremely patient and flexible with me and my personal struggles. Her kindness and levity have been welcome beacons of hope in my admittedly long rehab process. When I've had setbacks and "fallen off the wagon" with my exercises, she's approached getting me back on track free of judgment and guilt, instead offering solutions and encouragement to incorporate exercises into my daily routine, with a focus on the most important parts for me to get back to being active. She instinctively knows when to push me and when to give me space. She's celebrated every gain with me, however small, and helped picked me up when I've fallen down. I've also had the chance to work with many of the other therapists at Advantage over these months, including Chris, the owner. They all have been equally outstanding in their kindness and empathy toward their patients' recoveries and challenges. I came in extremely uncertain of what my rehab would look like. I will come out missing my weekly hour spent with Rachel and seeing the rest of the team at Advantage PT. There are no medical professionals on staff. They purport themselves as a "dual diagnostic center". Their help with my eating disorder was to make me sign a contract saying I would no longer engage in it. No help. Unclear on why didn't I just think of this earlier? Damn me. I was afraid to leave my room because every time I did my clothes and other belongings would get stolen. When we were in group and people started breaking down crying and naturally people wanted to help: You weren't allowed to give them Kleenex. Not sure what purpose this serves. Their version of therapy is having a Friday night doing each others nails. Or watching Jennifer Aniston movies which would drive anyone back to what they were doing. They accused me of taking drugs I didn't take: And did it in front of an entire room full of people. Not take me into an office which I think would be the normal responsible response. After I blissfully left I called my roommates back and they told me that the counselors told them again what I was accused of and said my family when they defended me was "in denial". There was just a wealth of HIPAA violations here. I transferred to Lakeside Milam. They weren't that great either but they were a little bit better. Food was okay.

I was an inpatient at Rez 12 years ago and for me the miracle happened. I set myself free of the merciless obsession. I now have 38 years clean and sober. Since I tried and failed to get sober on my own going to meetings (my drug of choice was pot, but also overdid it with alcohol) it wasn't until I was in the bosom of Res XII that, writing and sharing my own first step, I saw the truth of what I had been doing to myself, and the truth set me free.
