I expressed concerns about the frequency of X-rays, as they were not following a risk based approach, ADA or ALARA guidelines, as they arbitrarily order X-rays without clinical correlation. They insisted we have X-rays before the dental exam, so prior to any risk assessment, despite having X-rays just six months ago. They then sent in a rep to pressure me into X-rays. She informed me it was the dentist's discretion, not mine as a parent. Say what??? I was flabbergasted. She then misrepresented ADA guidelines, telling me the ADA recommends X-rays every 6 months. They do not. My child is low risk. She has never had any carries. The pressure continued and they eventually made me sign a dramatic declination form. I could tell I was annoying them. I also explained my daughter had X-rays 3 days prior at an orthopedic appointment. They told me there might have been cavities on the x-ray but my Ortho wouldn't have told me. Come on. An Ortho is not going to ignore cavities and would have at least told us to visit our dentist if the X-rays had been abnormal. This was gaslighting 100%. This raises several serious issues: Coercive consent: Requiring a formal signature to decline X-rays that were ordered without any documented clinical justification is inappropriate and may pressure patients into unnecessary procedures. Misrepresentation: The claim that the ADA universally recommends X-rays every six months is factually false and misleading to parents. Workflow over care: The default to pre-scheduled X-rays before any visual exam suggests a profit-driven or billing-based workflow, not individualized, evidence-based care. The American Dental Association (ADA) recommends that dentists order X-rays only when there's a clear clinical benefit, and the benefit outweighs the risks associated with radiation exposure. The frequency of X-rays should be individualized based on a patient's oral health, risk factors, and specific needs, rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach. General guidelines for bitewing x-rays: Children and adolescents with decay or high risk: 6 to 12 months. Children and adolescents with no decay and low risk: 12 to 24 months. Low-risk adults: 24 to 36 months. Increased risk adults: 6 to 18 months. I won't be returning. read more

the front office staff is rude. when I asked a question they wouldn't even look up at me. my child needed a filling and I declined the gas and they didn't like that. including talking negatively about my decision among themselves. they didn't care that we could hear them either. As a parent I should have final say over my child's care and shouldn't be bullied into something I'm not comfortable with. We'll be changing offices. my advice to management train your people better and specifically how to speak to patients and parents. read more

I have been going here for about three years and I've always had an issue ever since we started using the ortho side, which was two years ago. There's always billing issues appointment issues. We can never reach ortho on the phone nor email. Then when i called up and wanted to speak with someone that wasn't the manager at that office, but a manager or corporate, I was not allowed to. I was told I can leave a message and she'll call me back. This is ridiculous when you have a company this big and you cannot even make a complaint to help the company become better. I have talked to the manager numerous times before and nothing has never done. All I get is "sorry mom". So disappointed in the staff so disappointed in this company. I wish we were never referred to this place as we have been trying to move and get my son's braces finished, but we have not been able to do that due to the lack of communication with the staff here. Avoid this office at all costs! I had high hopes for this pediatric dental office because I was referred by someone and considering it was both my kids first time to the dentist I wanted them to have a great reassuring experience. However I can't say any part of our visit was pleasant. Upon arriving, the front desk receptionist was rude to my husband and told him he was at the wrong location, he was coming from work to meet me and our kids. He was in fact at the correct location but they couldn't find our profiles. After informing them I had submitted it the day before through the link the office sent they were able to finally find us in the system. Then the receptionist told us abruptly that our insurance will only cover half of the appointment to which I was taken back because when I called to book our appointment I specifically asked if we would be covered. This information should be disclosed beforehand and allow patients to accept the appointment instead of it being a surprise upon check in. We felt like we didn't have a choice considering we moved work schedules around to take our kids to the appointment so $300 (600 without insurance) later for a simple check up and teeth cleaning (for our 3yr and 18month) The assistant that was handling my son was neither warm nor welcoming, mind you were at a pediatric dental office. I would have assumed they would be good at handling kids and have some sort of training on making kids comfortable. Parents please beware and come prepared for this office to push unnecessary procedures on you and your child. We were informed by Dr Chan my daughter should get her lip tie lasered with a 2 week recovery but when I responded at the fact that she doesn't breastfeed and why that would be necessary the doctor responded that she would possibly mispronounce her P's and B's. My daughter has no issues at all with pronouncing her letters. They also suggested we put our daughter who is 18 months under general anesthesia to get crowns for her two front teeth with cavities. I told her that was not an option considering her age and what other options we have. She only suggested silver diamine which turns your cavities black and aesthetically isn't pleasing and said my daughter would most likely get bullied later in life. So of course we left the office feeling defeated and upset with the little provided information and options. Ironically if there was anyone being bullied I felt like Imagine Dental and their staff tried to bully us into getting unnecessary treatment for my daughter. We got a second opinion and we're able to get simple teeth fillings, also when I did my own research you can get white fillings over the silver diamine to lessen the black appearance of the side affect. Obviously Imagine Dental only cares about the dollar signs because Dr Chan did not inform us of either options and only wanted to push crowns as the solution. Needless to say we will never be going back and my goal with writing this extensive review is to inform parents to please do your research, ask questions, and advocate for your kids if you feel uncomfortable. read more

You should have seen the effed up teeth I had to deal with yesterday. It was our third time here and they never fail to provide us with great customer service. They are very prompt on their appointment times so you're never waiting a long time. I don't think the kids would mind though because they have a play room with games and hot chocolate/coffee as you wait. I can't complain because my kids love coming here for this. All the staff members are so friendly and make sure your kids are comfortable. I love the open concept that you can see everything they're doing. They don't hide a thing. While the kids are getting their pearly whites cleaned, they get to enough a cool movie (they have Disney +) while wearing cool sunglasses. By the time they know it, it's time to go. I have visited several times. I really like Dr Woody. Really nice place and always very clean. The restrooms are spotless. They give kiddos a book instead of a cheap breakable toy. You sit next to your child the whole time. They explain everything step by step with alot of patience. I'm a fosterparent they treat my foster children with so much care. One person say you fast can a little juice and it's fine then when you get there after your child is starving tell you oh I'm sorry but we are going to reschedule you for another day. Went to being my son if for his dental work ( which apparently required sedation and not just gas) at any rate they failed to inform us that he wasn't to eat prior to coming this morning! So morning waisted - showed up and went through registration process to find out they couldn't do procedure! I had a horrible experience with Imagine Dental on Tezel. They have complete disregard for the clients time. My appointment was at 11:30 and by 1:20 I had only had completed my X-rays. I am not sure if they are double booking or what is going on. At 1:20 I asked if they had forgotten I was in the room, so then I just told them I'd rather leave. Horrible service! Dr.Patel is AMAZING with my kiddos! My oldest is 3 years old and was scared of the cleaning equipment and she made him feel so comfortable and safe! She is very kid friendly and gave me all the information I needed in a very professional manner! They have headphones ready and a movie playing on the ceiling (Little Mermaid was playing when we came) The waiting areas are also impressive! There is a kids area with plenty of things to keep my two toddlers busy while I had to fill out the new patient forms on the iPad they provided. We came in first thing in the morning at 8am so I appreciated the Keurig in the normal waiting area for tired parents. After both my kids were finished with their cleaning she took them to a wall full of different books and they got to bring home a book of their choosing! Been going here a about 3 years (maybe more) and the past few visits I've felt very unsatisfied with the demeanor and feedback from them. First off my most recent visit with my youngest it felt like they were too busy to deal with him they just kind of glanced at his teeth told me to keep an eye out for one tooth and said sorry we're busy and went on their way so I'm not even sure what they saw or where they saw because I wasn't left with time to ask. Then every time I take my older kids they tell me I need to keep an eye on some teeth and/or they have a cavity starting and will need treatment asap, but something felt off about the visit I had today...the dentist kept telling me "these are their adult teeth in and they've only been in for not even a year and they have a cavity forming already and we need to treat it this way since it's their adult teeth" I thought adult teeth they haven't even lost those baby teeth yet. Turns out they don't even treat adult teeth for cavities they will refer out and in their notes later on it said baby teeth so I'm not really sure what's going on and left feeling frustrated ashamed and embarrassed from their bedside manner. They also kept asking me "if I give my kids gummy or sugary vitamins cause that's what causes this" and I said "no they don't take anything like that" but they kept insisting "they are getting it from somewhere." It just made me feel very low as a parent and uncomfortable that they could treat you this way! Needless to say I'll be taking my "business" elsewhere because it seems that's all this place is. read more

I myself and my 5 kids had a great experience at imagine pediatric dental on Culebra yesterday. The assistants were all very competent and they managed to get the exam x-rays and prophy done for all 5 kids within an hour. The area is spacious. Each dental chair has a TV above it and headphones so the kids can zone out while getting cleaned/ examined. Even my autistic 3 year old was completely at ease and my 23 month old had zero issues. I am looking forward to going to the Tezel Road location to be seen. read more

Service sucks! Since they have several "doctors" they contradict themselves. One doctor says he can take you for a treatment and when the day of the appointment comes there is another doctor who says ONLY HALF of the treatment will be done. They told me if I feel pain while the treatment is being done, I will have to reschedule!!!! WTF is this!!!! Initially I had an issue when they told me I had to pay 30 dlls copay when I know my insurance covers it. I had to call my insurance while being there just to so they could tell to their faces that I was covered for those charges. I was willing to give them a second chance, but now this bullcrap of "service" when they promise one thing and then want to do whatever they want. Imagine Dental doesn't have work ethics since their "doctors" contradict themselves, secretaries don't do their job correctly while checking benefits, and they only give you the run around trying to keep you there for a thousand of appointments when the treatment can be done right in a few ones. Extremely bad service and bunch of liars. Please stay away of any treatments provided by Imagine Dental. Do not waste your money but specially your valuable time with them. read more

This place is really nice and I read the reviews . I took my daughter there for a routine cleaning it was fine. I was told by the dentist that she needed her canines pulled because a five year did not have room in her mouth and for the other teeth. I trusted the dentist. Five year later my childs teeth still have not grow in. Other dentist have told me that pulling the teeth was unnecessary. I was scamed because I love my child. The place is nice but I do not believe they had daughter best interest at heart. If they tell you something get a second opinion. read more

This place is very kid friendly. I have 2 children and the oldest one was had been going to a different dental office and they told us he needs fillings. When we got up to go with him they told us that we cannot go back with him. That worried us. So my youngest son was due for his first dental visit and we choose imagine since they were a new and i asked prior if we can go back with our kids and they said not a problem. Dr.Rammell and the staff there are amazing. Everyone is very knowledgeable of what they are doing. The first time I went the Dr was very patient and did not rush checking my kids mouth. Today was my second visit for my daughter procedure. Dr.rammell and the lady assisting were very patient during the whole procedure. Asked if I had any concerns and answered any questions I had without rushing me. Which is a huge plus for me. It's very clean and organized in the office. They even have a separate room for the kids to play in which is visible so while your checking in they get to have some fun. Such a great location! I love the people there and the environment is perfect for my family. The game room allows me to keep my son entertained while waiting to be seen but they also have a very comfortable waiting room with TVs to entertain my husband also with sports, news, and other shows. They also decorate for every occasion and put up a backdrop for us to take pictures. We visited the Culebra location for the last 3 years. This is an excellent place for your child to feel very comfortable in the environment. There's lots of fun games and incentives for the children to enjoy while waiting for the dentist and then after seeing the dentist. I was completely in LOVE with this place until the day the told me my 3 year old cracked her tooth (I had a hard time believing this as she never complained) the dentist explained she needed a cap. I still struggled to understand why my 3 year old who has been to the dentist every 6 months her entire life needs a cap. So I decided to get a second opinion which I highly advise. My second opinion had NO concerns for her teeth. This is extremely alarming. They would have given my child unnecessary dental work traumatize her for NO reason and charge us an arm and a leg. No thank you. Also, we've never seen the same doctor. I was hoping to have my kids build a relationship with a dentist. This isn't the place for that. Please seek a second opinion when it seems wrong. read more

1. They scheduled his appt at 10, when they called they said 1030, when I got the text it said 1040. 2. I got there at 10 and it took forever for them to call him back and when they did they said they can do the procedure after an hour of taking the sedative. So another hour we had to wait. We didn't leave there until after 2pm. 3. I was in the back and not once durine the procedure did they talk to me and tell me anything. I sat the whole time wanting to ask questions but I didn't want to interrupt the dentist or slow the long procedure down . 4. They gave me absolutely no instructions on what to expect or to do for my son after. I had tons of questions later that evening and had to message friends and search online. I didn't think of asking because it was a very traumatic experience for us both, issues with the sedation and we'll the long procedure. 5. They called me 2 whole days after the procedure to sign the consent forms and discharge papers so the medicaid would pay for it. 6. Here I am 4 days after and 1. My son is still having pain and I don't know if it's normal. Again, I got no instructions on when to call. 2. I noticed that my son actually got 6 crowns instead of what I was originally told 5 crowns and 1 filling, again had they talked to me I would have known! Beyond upset right now. read more
