Popped into this office while I was shopping in the area. I had been having occasional headaches during my long work days with me staring at my computer screen and phone for hours on end. Dr Truong was very helpful and knowledgeable in that he mentioned getting work glasses with anti-reflective coating would help block blue light that emits from digital devices. This could help alleviate eye strain, blurred vision, sometimes even headaches when using devices for long periods of time. I ended up getting prescribed glasses, and I have to say - after wearing these glasses for about a month now, they have helped me tremendously at work! Not only was Dr. Truong very informative and helpful, the process of getting the glasses was seamless. I got trendy Dolce & Gabbana glasses AND Tom Ford sunglasses and am very happy with the outcome of my visit :) The frame selection was the best I've seen in any office in the area, and even better - it was all reasonably priced. We had the best experience at Imagine Optometry. My daughter has been suffering from chronic headaches. Two years ago, she saw an optometrist in Pleasanton and got prescription glasses, but while it did improve her vision, it still didn't help her headaches. We even got a second opinion, but the exam results were the same. More recently, we had her evaluated by a pediatrics headache specialist at UCSF who diagnosed her with chronic headaches, but couldn't find any underlying issues. As the new school year began with virtual learning in full steam, the headaches worsened. As any mother would do, I didn't give up and decided to try another optometrist on Yelp. That's when everything changed. I came across Imagine Optometry and couldn't help notice the amazing reviews about Dr. Truong and his staff, but what really stood out was that he's also a professor at the UC Berkeley School of Optometry. As a health care professional myself, I know staying connected with research hospitals and universities are the best ways clinicians can stay up to date with the latest research and technology. I brought my daughter in the following week for an exam. Dr Truong's wife Mary, greeted us at the door with hand sanitizer and took our temperatures. She was very personable and I don't think I ever remember her not having a smile on her face :) Once we got called into the exam room, I can tell immediately my daughter who's just 10, was at ease in Dr. Truong's presence. He was very calm and genuinely caring. I could tell after sharing our concerns he was determined to help my daughter find the cause of her headaches. He even knew specialists at UC Berkeley he could refer us to; in case we needed further evaluations. Fortunately, we didn't have to. Towards the end of the exam, he found similar findings as the previous optometrists, but I could tell he wasn't ready to stop there and he took it one step further. He tried another test on her and discovered something else that would likely be the root cause of her symptoms. So, without hesitation, we picked out frames for her new prescription, which by the way took forever with my indecisive daughter, but Mary was extremely patient, and made sure she would help her find the right fit. We never once felt rushed. Fast-forward two weeks later, my daughter hasn't had any headaches since she got her new glasses! She seems so much happier now, looks forward to school again and stays engaged in all her classes. I never believed in miracles, but thanks to Dr. Truong I do now. If only he could be our doctor for all our healthcare needs! Shout out to Farayha at Imagine Optometry! She was so helpful and knowledgeable when I came to my appointment to choose frames for my glasses. She was not pushy at all, yet, when I was ready, she helped give me her professional opinion on what looked good on me. She explained everything thoroughly, you can tell she knows her stuff! The whole experience, from start to finish, was top notch. What I also loved, was my rx notes a bunch of stuff that I should get on my glasses, but Farayha, once she understood what I would be using my glasses for, eliminated a few things that she said were more of an upsell and not so necessary. I truly appreciated that, as we all know, glasses can be very expensive to begin with, so I felt like she had my best interest and explained what each add on was and why she recommended or didn't recommend each one. She took the time to explain it all to me, and it all made sense. Love the texts and updates about incoming appointments, when my glasses arrived etc. I mean, my experience was how every five star business should operate. My glasses came in faster than promised, which was a total bonus, and I LOVE them so much!!!! I just can't speak highly enough about this place! I dropped into Imagine on a Saturday morning, not fully intending to make a purchase but just to check out their Ici Berlin frames (and I had an eye appointment near my workplace in SF the week after). I'm glad that I went with Imagine! Mary helped me select a good frame (my third Ici Berlin to date and most flattering) and was able to fit me into the Dr's schedule with about a 20 minute wait. Dr. Truong was absolutely professional and detailed in the exam and I was thrilled to learn that he also taught at UC Berkeley's eye center, where I took my son to have his eyes checked earlier in the year. They focused on my real need (not the most expensive sales) for the glass and convinced me that two features that I had originally requested was not necessary for the driving glass I use it for and saved me a hundred or so bucks. Dr. Troung is super thorough! I have been to many optometrists over my lifetime and was looking for someone close by with a selection of frames that were stylish for me. The eye exam was pretty long but he is super thorough and worked with me on my prescription and eyeglasses. I also had a fitting for contacts with him and he worked with me to diagnose what I liked best even doing multiple appointments to help me find a pair that was strong enough but didn't leave my eyes fatigued. The eye doctor was the best I've ever had. He has a Ph.D. as well and it shows. He really knows his stuff and provides excellent patient care. My husband and I moved to the area recently and my husband found the office on Yelp. We are both happy with the care. Dr. Truong sees his new patients three times. He truly wants to make sure the contacts are working and gives different samples to get the best fit. My vision is a challenge. I am severely near-sighted. I have an astigmatism now. And now I need bifocals. I tried on 2 different kinds of contacts. We narrowed it down to the one that worked better for close up vision (B&L Ultra). I had many contacts of my old prescription so I hadn't ordered the new prescription he gave me. When I was ready to order, I remembered how I liked the crisper vision of the other brand I did not have a prescription for so I went back to the office. He had reminded me why I had preferred the Ultra and gave me another free pair to try to make sure what was best for me. And he was right! I stuck with the Ultra because I need better close up vision to do my job at work. All his staff has been great and friendly including his wife. I highly recommend his office. read more

Recently, I had one of the most pleasant doctor visits at Imagine Optometry in Dublin. Dr. Truong is such a knowledgeable, thorough-minded and friendly doctor! He spent almost 2 hours with me; he explained each step of the examination extremely clear and well, showing images taken during the examination. He also advised me that there would be no need for me to take a cataract surgery for another year at least, for which he recommend monitoring during the next annual exams. He even measured values of the two pairs of my existing prescription reading glasses and advised me there was no immediate need for their replacement.
