In summary, I…read morefelt like I scheduled and paid for a level two car wash, but instead was sent through the machine at a fast pace without any actual water/washing and then handed a dash wipe at the end as if the dash wipe is sufficient cleansing of the entire vehicle. Details: I have been to this clinic three times during the year and a half I have lived in the valley and not once have my hearing aids been plugged in to the computer system, checked for a software update, or cleaned/serviced like my previous audiologist office did. Additionally, my hearing has not been tested since moving here. My previous provider tested me once a year just to see if there's were changes in my hearing that occurred so she would know how to adjust the levels of my hearing aids. It was explained to me when I asked why certain things weren't done for my visit that insurance doesn't always pay for this or that and some of the service is a little bit of a fluff but what if your patient actually wants a higher level of care? I believe that option should be offered. So my suggestion to management: it should be made clear what each appointment will consist of and if your insurance does not pay for this or that that there is an option to have that level of service along with the out-of-pocket price for that level of service. Additionally, during the 6 years I have had my hearing aids, every prior appointment at my previous clinic, was at least 30 minutes long if not an hour depending upon what was occurring. Since coming to this clinic, I have literally not been in there longer than 20 minutes total out of three appointments. The one positive is I had to replace a plastic piece and they got me in within 24 hours to do so which I do appreciate. The doctors themselves are quite nice, friendly, and welcoming. The scheduling staff are also nice. I just think the quality of service that has been created is significantly lacking. My hearing is a crucial component to my daily life and my career. Hearing aids are extremely expensive. Therefore, the quality of service during my audiology appointments is an important aspect to my overall self-care and quality of life. The level of service this clinic provides does not meet my standards of what I want or what I think I deserve in terms of hearing care. I am overwhelmed with disappointment in the quality of service and I do not recommend this place.

Nathan is that guy for me. Remember if you have tried hearing aids before and you gave up on them you should try again. There is new technology including tinnitus reducing software. And the new hearing aids don't make your voice sound weird. Lastly, Nathan wants to see you back as often as you need to address your concerns like if the sounds may be muffled or tinny.

Craig has been helpful, knowledgeable, and patient with me. He has not been pushy or condescending. He listens and works to find a solution. Hearing Aids are expensive because part of what you're purchasing is the services of the audiologist for the life of the hearing aids. I feel comfortable that Dr. Craig will do what he can to help me hear better and get the most out of these new hearing aids. I highly recommend him.

I was effectively dismissed from the practice because of a $45 copay that went unpaid for more than 90 days. When I called to schedule an appointment with my eye doctor, the front desk told me that my account had been sent to collections and that they could not--or would not--schedule me. I was told I was no longer allowed to be seen by the practice. For context, I had been a cash-pay patient for more than 10 years because I did not have health insurance. During that time, I paid thousands of dollars out of pocket for treatment of uveitis, an ongoing eye condition that is causing vision loss in my right eye. When I finally obtained insurance and used it for the first time, no one informed me that I had a $45 copay. The bill went unpaid for over 90 days, and apparently that was enough to have me sent to collections and dismissed as a patient. I contacted the billing department to resolve the issue. They could not tell me which collection agency had the debt, and they would not accept my $45 payment directly. Frustrated, I left $45 cash at the front desk and left. Two months later, while still experiencing a significant flare-up of my condition, I called again to schedule an appointment. I was told I still owed money, that my account had been sent to collections, and that I had been dismissed from the practice. There was no record of the $45 cash payment I had left. I can't help but wonder whether my doctor is aware that a long-time patient with a serious eye condition was turned away over a delinquent $45 copay, that was paid.

I just inquired about the delay and that this is uncomfortable and frustrating. Don't make it my issue that you cannot treat your patients in a timely manner. I will say their Manager Daniel was a pleasant surprise. He listened, was empathetic and stated that someone should be communicating when there are excessive wait times. His future is bright!

Since there was only one ENT group in our area I had to use the same group to get a 2nd opinion. I went to see Dr. Reeck for this. When i arrived he already looked angry or upset with me. He talked to me and got my history and then did a very fast painful jerky scope of my sinuses. He said they look totally normal. (Like I was faking or lying) when he looked in my mouth and throat I had a tooth that had a cap which had come off and I had an appointment with a dentist to get it fixed but it wasn't painful so no hurry. He said as he was examining my mouth, 'of course you have teeth that aren't taken care of.' Like I was a lowlife of some kind. I'm actually a retired nurse and was offended by his comments and thought what if I was low income and couldn't afford dental care? That was really unnecessary. When he looked in my ears, the one giving me problems had wax in it. He said oh my g-- you need to clean your ears. Embarrassing but when I said I had been told q-tips don't work they just push the was farther in, he looked at me like I was crazy, rolled his eyes and shook his head. I am a clean person and really felt he had formed an opinion of me and that's what he went with. He also did nothing to help me. I'm not a medical doctor, but am a biologist, so I understand some of the technical speak. He asked about my background so that he could tailor a conversation not over my head but also not under. The tumor was about the size of a grape, but wasn't causing facial paralysis. Therefore, surgery was optional. Dr. Reeck explained a lot about what the tumor likely was, complications with its position, etc. Then, he asked me what I wanted to do. He listened to my thoughts and answered more questions. I greatly appreciated him taking the time to have the conversation so that I felt empowered to make the decision. Dr. Reeck never seemed flustered by my questions or stupid jokes. He rolled with it all. His bedside manner was light-hearted, calm and refreshing. As another reviewer noted, Dr. Reeck is down to earth. That really captures him. He visited me before surgery, again with his calm, caring persona. I had no reservations about going into surgery. His confidence, without being pretentious, was admirable. His bedside manner shined again during my post-op appointment. His medical assistant, Alex, was friendly, kind, efficient and effective. If I ever need another ENT appointment, I know who I will seek out!

I had to bring my two little guys, 2yrs & 5yrs old so it was chaotic. The staff gave them both new toys to play with while I was being seen and were so kind. Then I was seen by Dr. Epstein and he was so thorough even tho he wasnt the one who had done my eyelid surgery originally. He did a quick painless procedure with post instruction on how to keep my eyelids healthy and stye free and instantly my eye felt better. I am so grateful for finding this gem! One of the staff members recommended a beautiful park in downtown Ashland and was so wonderful. Great experience. Hope I don't have to go back but recommend everyone using them. The billing department was dishonest and misleading about billing during scheduling of my appointment, arriving for my appointment and leaving after my appointment--I asked numerous times and they were deceptive. Prior to the appointment, I told the billing department my insurance would not pay for an eye exam, as I know my insurance well, and they assured me the insurance would pay for the exam but not the refraction. Two weeks after the appointment, I received a bill for the entire service. The Siskiyou Eye Center is a perfect example of what is wrong with healthcare--you are a $$$ to them. Avoid this place, especially with so many other great choices in the Rogue Valley, like Artisan Eyeworks in Ashland or Medical Eye Center in Medford--they are professional and honest about services and billing. Had a horrible rash on my face and since he couldn't see me for about a week (which is understandable) I went to urgent care and started on prednisone. The rash was mostly gone by my appointment so I almost cancelled but had taken good pictures of it and since he had seen me previously and given me a cream that I had a bad reaction to, I thought I should still see him to get some help. First words out of his mouth when he walks in are "It's the patient who's here for a rash and doesn't have a rash". I laughed it off because he had to be joking right? He then proceeds to tell me there is nothing he can do for me since i dont have a rash. I tell him I have pictures. He says "I dont diagnose based on pictures". I tell him he saw me for this rash before and the cream gave me a bad reaction, cant he give me something else. He says "but you dont have a rash now, why would I treat a rash you dont have?" I try to appeal financially, telling him it costs me a lot of money to see him. He says I can come back if the rash comes back. He tells me maybe it is some form of dermatitis that I can't remember the name of and that he treats it with an Antibiotic. I ask him to prescribe it for me, he says no because I don't have a rash. The bottom line is he had no desire to treat me. He made up his mind that I was wasting his time and so he wouldn't do anything for me. I am an RN in the valley and have been telling all of my coworkers, friends and family to avoid The Clinic for Dermatology and Wellness at all costs. I have worked with all sorts of doctors over the years and have never seen a patient treated with as little regard as I was treated by Joe Gatti.
