Imli Indian Kitchen and Bar 330 S Atlantic Ave, Ormond Beach, FL 32176 If you're driving along A1A with the ocean on one side and those beautiful high-rises lining the coast, do yourself a favor and make a stop at Imli Indian Kitchen and Bar. This place is a gem that delivers on every level--from ambiance to flavor to service. The restaurant itself is spotless, modern, and inviting, with a relaxed upscale vibe that fits perfectly with its beachside surroundings. Plenty of parking makes it easy to pull in, settle down, and enjoy a proper meal without any hassle. We started off strong with the cauliflower Manchurian and onion pakoda--both came out fresh, hot, and perfectly crisp. You can tell right away when a kitchen respects texture, and they nailed it. The samosa chaat was layered with flavor, and the Chicken 65 brought just the right kick--crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and seasoned beautifully. For mains, we explored a bit, and everything felt thoughtfully prepared rather than rushed. The mixed meat platter was generous and well-balanced, the Kerala fish curry had that deep, coastal spice profile, and the cashew coconut chicken curry with black pepper had a rich, aromatic heat that lingered in the best way. Every dish carried depth--nothing tasted one-dimensional. Of course, no Indian meal is complete without naan, and both the garlic and regular versions were excellent. But the real standout? The Peshwari naan--slightly sweet from chopped dates, soft, and just indulgent enough to feel special. That alone is worth coming back for. The drink selection is another plus--they've got a solid lineup of wines, beers, and spirits if you're in the mood to pair your meal. And considering the quality and portion sizes, the pricing feels more than fair. We wrapped things up with a full spread of desserts--ras malai, gulab jamun, carrot halwa, and a warm cup of masala chai. Each one hit that comforting, traditional note you hope for at the end of a great Indian meal. This isn't just another Indian restaurant--it's a place that clearly cares about doing things right. Whether you're a local or just passing through between Jacksonville and Orlando, this is absolutely a stop worth making.

Had a great family dinner at Imil Indian Kitchen. The atmosphere was very cousy and the restaurant was clean with a Asian flare decor. Service was great and fast, could ask for better service. For dinner we shared 3 meals. The fish Molly with Tilapia which everyone was not expecting to be as good as it was. Sooooo good and delicious!!! The Rogan Josh which was delicious as well and tender. And finally the Tandoori Sampler which was a mix of there popular tandoori dishes. This was a great way to sample all alot of items if you have never tried or had before. Excellent restaurant will definitely recommend to friends!

This is a hidden gem! It is such a clean and well kept space. When we walked in we were immediately impressed with the decor and the amazing smells coming from the kitchen. The staff were super friendly - everyone from the manager to the sever and the food runners were so nice. They made sure you got exactly what you were looking for. We had a group of four and we each ordered something different to try. Everything was amazing! The star of the show was the lamb korma, though. 10/10! I can't wait to stop in again.

4.5 stars. My son came here on a Tuesday afternoon. There was a very large group, but despite that, our 5-course lunch specials came out with 30 minutes. Although they don't have a lunch buffet like other another excellent Indian restaurant in the area, they do have a reasonably-priced ($12-14) lunch menu with about 6 different curries to choose from and your choice of meat, cheese, or vegetable. The lunch set comes with papadam and chutney, a samosa, naan, curry and rice, and rice pudding for dessert. The food was tasty, but the spice level was a tad on the hot side. I ordered mild, and it tasted medium to me, which was perfect. My son's medium-spice level was too much for me. If I'm ever beachside in Ormond again, I would go back.

What a beautiful surprise in Ormond Beach! This place is absolutely stunning inside--modern, clean, and thoughtfully decorated. The dining area feels bright and welcoming, with elegant lighting and a fresh atmosphere (see photo). The food is Indian, and it really stands out as something unique for the Ormond Beach area. Fresh flavors, beautifully presented, and everything tasted authentic and carefully prepared. The mango lassi (in the photo) was smooth, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. Service was top-notch. The staff was professional, attentive, and very welcoming without being overbearing. It's clear they take pride in providing a great dining experience.

Loved this place!! The lunch options were amazing! I had the butter chicken it had a nice slightly sweet cashew curry sauce and peppers. The lunch dish came with naan, a samosa, lentil soup and a dessert which was rice pudding that day! I'm also ordered a masala chai that was delicious. If you're down in ormond beach this place is a great stop!! Also my friend is gluten and dairy free and the staff was super helpful in checking with the kitchen and communicating which items would be safe for her. Decor is very nice all adding to a great dining experience

Incredibly different Indian motif...quite modern with beautiful lighting. Lamb tandoori AMAZING! Chicken tandoor very yummy! Wait staff fantastic and very helpful. Does it sound like we liked it here? If anywhere nearby, I'd recommend you come here on your first night in town so that you can repeat your visit before leaving the area!

It was mine and my boyfriend's first time trying Indian food and it was so delicious, I got the butter chicken and he got chicken biryani. I went for mild spice but definitely could have gone for medium and will next time!

We went early, 5ish because we had the little ones. The service was very considerate and understanding. They happily divided the mango lassi into two cups and served each half in a lidded cup with a straw. The looks on those kids' faces when they tasted the lassi! I wish I could post them here. Anyhow the ambiance there is upscale, quite nice, but not snooty. There is booth and table seating and large parties can be accommodated. It appears that in nice weather there will be outdoor seating as well. The place settings were beautiful, with the flatware being especially remarkable. Plates were served appropriate to the course and cleared promptly. Beer (Kingfisher is my favorite) was served with a frosted mug. We started with the Manchurian cauliflower and the samosas. The samosas were freshly made, crispy on the outside and a title spicy on the inside. The kids enjoyed the crusts. The cauliflower was really good! The breading was very light and it was cooked perfectly. The portion was more than enough for the 4 of us adults to share. For entrees we got saag paneer, tikka masala chicken and the tandoori sampler. The sampler was a little chicken-heavy, but it arrived on a sizzling platter and was a great value at $28 for all that meat. The basil chicken was a little dry but the other dishes were all succulent. The tandoori chicken was exceptional. The shrimp I'd get again. The other adults loved the lamb and it was overcooked to me. But the seasonings were very nice. The saag paneer was saucy, with probably homemade paneer chunks. The tikka masala chicken was also excellent with tender chunks of chicken and lots of delicious sauce. Everything came with Basmati rice, another favorite of the kids. We got a double order of garlic naan and between the 6 of us (including kids) we almost finished it. The garlic naan was perfectly and freshly made, not greasy and not overly seasoned, just right. This restaurant has only been open a couple of weeks and they are off to a great start! Other diners were arriving as we were leaving and take out orders were being picked up. Imli, we will be back! Give them a try.

Well, this is a gift to the Ormond Beach area!! The restaurant just opened a few days ago, which can sometimes be dicey, but they have their act together. A lovely restaurant, very clean, open, light & area; booths are very comfortable. (Check out the handles on the bathroom doors - attention to detail!!) Service was excellent! Avi was our waiter - very attentive, friendly & professional, and checked back often (but not too often) to see if we needed anything. Alexi and Raj (owner and chef) came by to see how everything was as well - nice! The food is AMAZING! Fresh, flavorful, beautifully spiced. We both had the lunch special, which includes lentil soup, entree, and appetizer and dessert of the day - todays appetizer was a lovely samosa and dessert was a tasty rice pudding. Hubs had the lamb vindaloo (spicy level) and I had paneer korma (between mild to medium spice). Lunch also comes with naan but we ordered garlic naan which we love - pillowy, fluffy, garlicky and not greasy - best naan I've had recently! All of the food was so good and we can't wait to come back and work our way through the menu.

All the food was fresh and flavorful. Everything came out hot. The best naan we've ever tasted. We had to order two baskets! Tried the chili fried corn! OMG we have never tasted anything like it. We ordered the Thali expecting a well-rounded, flavorful Indian meal--but what arrived at the table was far from it. The food was served cold, which immediately set the tone. Naan, which should be soft, warm, and slightly crisp on the edges, was instead leathery and overly chewy, almost as if it had been sitting out far too long. The Thali was supposed to include chicken biryani and chicken curry, but both dishes missed the mark entirely. The chicken served was dark thigh meat, which in itself isn't an issue when cooked right--but here, it lacked any depth or proper preparation. More disappointing was the complete absence of flavor. Indian cuisine is known for its rich layers of spices and aromas, but everything on the plate felt bland and lifeless, as if the spices were an afterthought rather than the heart of the dish. Adding to the disappointment, the interior decor felt very dated and gloomy, lacking the warmth or vibrancy you'd hope for in a dining space. The bathrooms were also filthy, which only made the overall experience worse. Having dined at several Indian restaurants, we know what a good Thali should taste like--balanced, vibrant, and satisfying. This was none of that. It felt rushed, poorly executed, and lacking the care that defines authentic Indian cooking. Unfortunately, this experience was disappointing enough that we won't be returning.

Only one other couple was dining in, and there were a lot of take out orders being picked up. The place was well-lit, clean, and had ample space. We were greeted and seated almost immediately. Scout was our waitress and Deepak was the host. Menu has all the Indian cuisine staples that we expected - we ordered 3 orders of garlic naan, fried rice with veggies and egg, chicken tikka masala, aloo gobi (potato & cauliflower side dish ) - all with medium spiciness - with mango lassi and masala Chai tea for drinks. While waiting for our orders, we washed our hands and the single-occupancy restrooms were clean and stocked. The only downside to the facilities in general are the slightly hard chairs / benches as these were possibly made with the intention of not spending too much time in the restaurant or for people with more natural padding in that area . The naan arrived about 10 minutes later, followed by the rest of the food. The naan was excellent - just the way we like it (not too soft, not too crunchy, with enough garlic oil for taste). The basmati rice was cooked just right in the individual bowls and also in the generous portion of the fried rice. It was my first time trying the aloo gobi, and I loved it! I never knew about this dish, and my husband said it was a must try. I also tasted his chicken tikka masala, and it was also made deliciously. The drinks were also great - mango lassi was fresh and not too sweet. Masala Chai tea was exactly how I imagined it would be. Overall, we spent around 1 hour and about $100 on our date here, including generous tip. We are glad to be repeat customers to try more dishes, and of course, enjoy more garlic naan .
