I stopped by this Thai spot around 4:30pm, and the place was quiet--like "you can hear your own footsteps" quiet. Not necessarily a bad thing, just a calm vibe. The space looked clean and simple, and I grabbed a booth since I was there on a first date. They didn't have coconut water (my tiny heartbreak moment), so I went with a green tea. For food, I ordered the Panang Curry with tofu, medium heat. Flavor-wise, it was good, but there was zero spice. Medium here felt more like "polite whisper." I still enjoyed it, but I definitely found myself wishing I had added my own heat. My date ordered the Pad Thai, and the noodles looked a bit overcooked--soft and squishy in a way Pad Thai shouldn't be. I tried a bite, and it just wasn't giving what Pad Thai usually gives. Very mild, very basic. The staff seemed kind and traditional, and I honestly feel like they might tone down their dishes for the area, which happens a lot with small neighborhood Thai spots. Went here based on the reviews and was disappointed. Green curry was bland, not fresh herbs and overly coconut-y. Garlic beef was similarly bland. Atmosphere was worn-down diner aesthetic. I know this is a cliché, but this is a don't judge a book by its cover kind of place. My family was in Daytona for a festival, and before heading home, we wanted to grab a late lunch. The hubby looked up restaurants near us and suggested this place. I'm pretty sure if I looked this place up on Yelp, I probably would have suggested a different restaurant based on the interior photos despite the almost 5 stars review. We had the option to order either lunch or dinner portions but opted to order lunch portion entrees since we didn't know how the food was going to taste. All four dishes were delicious. The lunch portion is filling for one person, and we were even able to share all the dishes, but if you want extra to pack home, you'll want to go with the dinner portion. The service was nice and efficient. Was it the best Thai food we've ever had? No, but the food was relatively authentic, and you can't beat the value. My oldest daughter was sticker shock with our total bill, but not in a bad way. It doesn't seem like they've made much, if any, updates to the interior, so perhaps that's why they're able to keep their prices so affordable. If you want a no frill, good tasting Thai dishes, you'll want to give this place a try. Your taste buds and wallet will thank you. read more

The food was okay. My concern is that when we told the server (owner I think?) that a person in our party had already had enough to drink, he replied that it was okay because it is a holiday. We ordered the pad see ew and and pad kee mao. The noodles were definitely overcooked for both dishes which was disappointing. You will definitely need to add you own spice as the level for thai hot was very disappointing. Next time I'll ask for extra on side if I go back. Service was okay. Food wasn't great just okay. The overcooked noodles and lack of spice took away from the dish especially for the pad kee mao which is supposed to be spicy. The other is typically more savory sweet. Not sure if I'd go back for any entrees. I'd go back to try some of their desserts amd skip noodle dishes for sure. read more

What a hidden gem. I cannot believe there were not more people here. The service was amazing, my cup was never empty. My iced Thai tea was delicious. The perfect color and taste. The best Thai tea I have had in a really long time. The chicken pad see ew was really good and they used the thick bug noodles which is so rare. Normally people only use the little noodles and the big ones are the best. The ginger and garlic fried rice were very tasty. Looked amazing too. We had a really nice meal - albeit very late - at Siam Spice during a weekend trip to Daytona. We were craving Thai food, and were excited to check out the promenade area in Daytona over the river. Tried the shrimp fried rice, crispy duck, fried fish (with sweet sauce), & fried noodles. Favorite was the fish and the fried rice. Fried noodles were on the bland side. Was expecting it to be more spicy. The fish and fired rice was spot on though. Fish was crispy, & rice was cooked well, blended well with the other veggies / seasoning. Very good Thai food. The curries are deliciously balanced, properly seasoned. Fresh aromatics like Thai basil and Thai chilis being used here, you can taste it in the sauces. Dumplings didn't feel frozen, instead hand made. Our server was very friendly and accommodating. Let me get roasted duck green curry which was not on the menu. Incredibly good! Inside decor of the restaurant is nothing to write home about, just some simple booths and chairs. But it's all pretty clean, and the food is incredible. No special decorations or anything but not a hole in the wall either. We ordered some drinks like Thai coffee, Thai Tea and a Coconut drink. Those were nice and refreshing. The Tom Kha soup was kinda plain. We asked for condiments to jazz it up a bit. They fried a couple eggs for us which is always a bonus. The Thai Salad with peanut sauce was refreshing. The Kraphao Chicken was ok (to me). The Fried Rice was good but I thought the rice was a bit hard. My cousin loved it tho. And the Seafood Pad Cha was bomb! That and the eggs were def my favorite. I have never been so disappointed and offended about Thai food in my life! I was raised on Thai food and love it. I typically frequent Thai erawan but they were closed today (Sunday) and so I tried this place. I ordered my food to go and was told in a very demanding irritated tone that I must sit if I want food and not stand? I did, but thought it was weird. I got my food and drove the short drive home. I get home and the container of soup I paid for was only 2/3 full!!!!!! I paid 10$ for soup and didn't even get the correct amount! I sent my husband back to fix it before checking the other items, my mistake. I go to check the other boxes and the gyoza was very underdone and had a doughy consistency, plus poor portions. On top of that, the mangos and sticky rice has about a quarter cup of rice?! I called to let them know my husband was coming about the soup, and that I expected more sticky rice. The guy was like "I will speak to the man of the house when he arrives to decide a solution" in a really rude tone. I told him that I expect him to come to a solution with me and asked him to properly refill the soup, and to provide a more appropriate portion of sticky rice. He continued to have attitude. A new restaurant for me that did not disappoint . The aromas drew me in. So much to choose from, but decided to take the staff suggestions of soup, spring rolls and seafood delight. The broth of the soup was delicious, the spring rolls while small really very tasty.
