Copy of a review I did for Pixel Planet…read more8/3/2024 Today was our grandson's 7th Birthday. He loves playing Mindcraft so his Mom and Dad booked Pixel Planet on 125 Settlers Center Rd. In Taylorsville, KY. The owner, Brian King is a really nice guy. He knows what he's doing, knows how to talk to kids (of course being a dad helps a lot) and keeps the store so clean! We had eight 7 year olds in the building and they really had a great time! But all of the children there today, not just the ones there for the birthday party, had 1 if not 2 parents there with them today. I have to say that the dads really looked like they were having the best time of their lives. Noah's Mom brought his favorites: Cupcakes, goodie bags and small cups of soft drinks or bottles of water. I read some negative reviews on the mini golf course but the one we played was great. Looks like they had been recently upgraded. There are a lot of your expected ticket style arcade games with many of them being easy for kids to play. There are claw machines, though admittedly we skip them typically. A handful of fun style games that are great, and much more! Our favorite is the axe throwing! The prize booth is very awesome with TONS of options! Obviously some that are basically not going to be claimed by anyway lol, but there is enough there to pick from even with not that many points The bumper cars are fun and they even have some cars that flip you around instead of spinning! The mini golf is fine, although it's not very exciting compared to other mini golf courses. We have a lot of fun and will be going back!

Only downside is the exhaust fume odor, but it's not too bad. They have adult and kid carts, and honestly the kid cart speed is fine for a novice adult. We went on a weekend and essentially had the track to ourselves (group of 4). We didn't feel intimidated or out of our depth at all, even though there are regular racers on site. One race does fly by, so it can get a bit pricey if you're eager to race a couple of times. We only stuck around for one, because we didn't want to wait 20-30min between races on the track. Overall, though, it was a fun way to burn an hour of time on a rainy afternoon.

Had a FANTASTIC experience at this place! We went for the first time, seven of us (two families; we…read morehad two kids and the other family had one kid). It was perfect because they had exactly seven stations, so each of us had our own the entire time. The guy there gave us a very thorough orientation and demonstration. He even took the time to make sure each one of us had the equipment on just right in order to optimize the experience. It was a very good "social distanced" experience if that's something you are concerned with because each of us had our own 10 foot by 10 foot room separated from each other. However, we were all able to talk over Discord and play games and meet up in these virtual worlds! It was such a fantastic experience!!! It's really weird how your body thinks it feels things you see when actually you are standing in the same 10-foot box the entire time! I highly recommend the "Ritchie's Plank Challenge" and pick the rocket blaster where you can fly around the world and do an obstacle course. It is the weirdest feeling and super thrilling!!!! We rented all seven stations for one hour and wish we had rented it for 90 min or even two hours because there is so much to explore and experience. We are DEFINITELY going back! If you want to try something fun with your friends and tired of the same old thing like seeing a movie or going bowling... this is great to try! It's sooooo different... sooo amazing... soooo immersive... it's hard to come back to the real world because in that world you can fly and do cool things (without the worry of getting hurt LOL). HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! We will be back for sure!!!!

They have rooms that are large enough for groups from 2 to 6 people and rooms for 2 to 10 people. The puzzles were tricky, some quite difficult, but a lot of fun to solve. Kristen was our game master and she did a great job. She was full of energy and got us hyped up before we went in. There were items in the room that you could tell people had been a bit rough with, but overall the place was well kept, clean, and fully functional. Also, and importantly, the restroom was clean. We definitely intend to go back and try their other rooms.

We did the zombie apocalypse room which was fun and challenging. My favorite part was the theatrics that were used to start our adventure. Be gentle with the props and enjoy the vibrant energy they have created. Accessibility considerations: One step to enter the house, a few other higher curbs.
