This is a very nice place for kids! The place has a cool esthetic, is clean and fun for kids. The only problem that could be remedied is there were no soccer balls in the entire building. My grandson was excited to play soccer and the group today had to use a basketball! Imagine getting hit by a basketball or even having to kick a basketball with your bare feet. I asked an employee about the balls and he mentioned the kids were rough on the balls. Wrong answer! I am extremely dissatisfied with my recent experience at Hyper Kidz in Wheaton. I attended a child's birthday party at this location over the weekend, and the facility was severely overcrowded, to the point where it felt uncomfortable and potentially unsafe. There appeared to be little consideration given to capacity management, which made it difficult for adults to supervise children and enjoy the event. The service only compounded the issue. The front desk staff was unhelpful and dismissive when concerns were raised. More troubling, when the party host expressed legitimate concerns to the manager regarding the overcrowding and overall experience, the response was entirely lacking in empathy or accountability. Rather than addressing the issues or offering any form of resolution, the manager appeared focused solely on securing payment for the party. For a venue that promotes itself as a destination for children's birthday parties and family events, this approach to customer service is unacceptable. The experience felt transactional and dismissive, with no regard for guest comfort, safety, or satisfaction. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Hyper Kidz Wheaton for birthday parties or organized events, and I would strongly caution other parents considering this location. read more

Hyper Kidz is a spacious indoor play center to help parents when their little ones are going stir crazy, especially over the winter. As with most play places, there are party rooms and an enormous, enclosed jungle gym-type structure. There are two areas where height is restricted to protect little ones from larger, more aggressive kiddos. The indoor basketball court and soccer field are a nice touch. Since this place opened in 2025, everything looks well maintained. Hyper Kidz loses a couple stars because... - I never saw anyone cleaning. - The visibility is terrible if you're a parent trying to track your kid outside the height-restricted areas. - While they have stools and ledges for parents to sit within the play area, the ledges face *away* from the main play structure, so it's not like you can look over your laptop to glimpse your kids from time to time - you're usually facing away from them. - The stools are too low to the ground and they have no back, so it's uncomfortable to sit for extended periods. - There was one (one!) employee working an enormous check-in line when I arrived at 12:18 p.m. on the Saturday after Christmas. Good lord, get her some help. - The bathroom situation is a disaster. As parents fill their water bottles, water spills all over the floor between the bathrooms. (Invest in one of those great water refill stations they have at O'Hare, Hyper Kids!) There's a weird bin with plastic booties you can put on to wear into the bathroom, but the trash bin for them outside the bathrooms was overflowing. - The entry area is pathetically small for how many people are here. Just a handful of tables (all covered in food leftovers). Monday-Thursday pricing: Infant, age 0-11 mos: $9.99 Toddler, age 1-2yrs: $12.99 Child, age 3-13: $14.99 Friday-Sunday pricing: Infant, age 0-11 mos: $14.99 Toddler, age 1-2yrs: $17.99 Child, age 3-13: $19.99 Apparently Wednesdays are $9.99 for all ages, so aim for Wednesdays, I guess. Of all the kids' play centers in the area I've been to, Ball Factory in Mount Prospect is the best staffed and most well-maintained. My kids are currently getting hot and sweaty somewhere inside Hyper Kidz, but I can't see them and they occasionally return to me to report that some kid hurt them or some hag of a mom yelled at them. I cannot see or prevent this because I cannot run laps around an enclosed play structure to try to keep tabs on them. But my kids seem to be having fun, so that's nice. read more

I had a great time with my 2 toddlers. My 3yr old especially enjoyed his time. I went on a Thursday so it wasn't busy at all. The place was clean and didn't have that weird smell that kid places have (iykyk). It was super fun & the jungle gyms were big enough for an adult body to chaperone the little ones (if that's what you prefer). If I was a kid I would have loved this place. I would for sure come again. 2 cons: The gate that lets you in and out of the play area. I felt like those who were opening the gate were not locking it back up when entering or exiting. Each time I went to go out to the locker room/front desk area it was unlocked (3times). There was no staff at the gate checking to see who was coming in and out. Regardless of it being busy safety should always be a main concern. The wrist band situation. They gave us wrist bands but didn't check them once.. & since there was no one guarding the gate this con be looked at as quite alarming and unsafe. read more

This place could be a lot better! And I'm disappointed because I really wanted to like it. My biggest concern is that there is one person inside by a door who is "allowing" people to come in and out of the play area. This person does not look for paper bracelets (which they give you with admission). I am not sure what their purpose actually is. They let tons of people in without bracelets. And they don't care who leaves. I realize that their job is not to watch anyone's kids, but they opened the door to let my 3 year old outside who didn't have a parent with them. (I was stuck behind a group of people and was frantically trying to push through people to get to my kid). Huge safety concerns. Unless you are willing to crawl through small holes, down a bunch of slides, and be squished (or squish) little kids, there is a pretty good chance you will lose sight of your kids. Again, with someone up front allowing all kids to leave unattended, that's a huge concern. The staff is untrained. I waited 10 minutes to order food and there were tons of people behind the counter just randomly walking around and not helping customers. I didn't get a smile or even a greeting- it was "what do you want?" They are all checked out. There should be one person helping with people's party questions because that just drains so much time. Are there multiple lines to order food? I don't know, maybe there should be poles or something. Also, one little kid came up to the door employee sobbing and couldn't find their parents. A normal employee would ask what their parents names were and call them over the loudspeaker. It was obvious that the staff has not been trained in this- which is concerning. They had no idea how to handle it. Not surprising, but no one cleaning anything. There was stuff spilled all over the coat room. Piles of dirt and dust in some of the play areas. We were there 4 hours and I didn't see any staff walking around with the exception of bringing things to the party rooms. Also, they fry food in the front but the entire place has sickening greasy oil smell to it. You can even feel it in the air. Certainly they could have sprung for some better fans in the kitchen. Despite all of this my kids had a good time. It just is at the bottom of my list to go again. read more

Terrible experience while visiting here on a Monday morning. We drove an hour to come try out this location (have been to other hyper kidz) and when we arrived there were already a lot of kids. Didn't really bother us at first because you would think there are parents with the kids to watch for their behaviour. Wrong. This was a giant field trip of first graders and the amount of kids was not the issue. The problem is the lack of supervision and accountability. We followed our 3 year old through the whole place and she was shoved and pushed multiple times. Kids were not being nice and telling her to move and we just told her to be kind and move on. The final straw is when we were watching her climb the netted area and all the kids were blocking the hole to get out so she climbed to the side to wait for them to move and a whole adult was on top of her stepping on her from above!! Obviously adults are going to be there and on the equipment, but this was not safe and could've ended much worse. My husband had to scream at her to get off our kid and she was completely clueless. We weren't even there 30 min and tried to make it work. It was just not happening and this didn't need to be a bad experience for us or our child. We left and tried to speak to someone about a refund because the whole experience was ridiculous to say the least. The man who identified himself as the GM said he could not provide a refund as this location is always this busy so we weren't going to be able to come any other day when it was less busy and they have field trips every day. He stated the max capacity for kids was 200 and they were no where near that, which is probably true, but they also should have adequate supervision per child. There were a handful of teachers but everyone was sitting on their phones and not actively supervising the kids. Overall the location is clean and had some fun options for kids. I wish we could've had fun and enjoyed it, but this was not the case. As for the GM, that's just inexcusable and poor customer service when someone buys an experience and isn't even able to stick around because of how crowded and uncontrolled things are. We did not stay the whole day and ask for a refund. We tried to make it work and we weren't able to do so safely. I would not recommend this location to anyone who actually cares about the safety and wellbeing of their child. He did provide a free visit coupon which will not be used as I do not wish to come back to any establishment that would allow this type of incident to go unresolved. When I asked to speak to someone else about the matter he said that he's the highest up I could go. So when I say not to support this place, I mean do not support that person or how he runs this location. read more

I'm a grandpa with limited mobility. I brought my 360 camera with me so I could see the various things my grand daughter was doing since it was her birthday. I asked the person at the gate if I could bring my camera in and record. He said "No Problem!" I was sitting on a bench when some woman said I couldn't record in there as they had gotten a complaint from another customer. I explained that the person at the gate said no problem. She said he's not the manager. There were no "NO VIDEO RECORDING" signs up that I could see. I also noted there were dozens of other families with their cell phones out recording. I would say I was singled out. On another note...when it came time to go to the birthday room, the pizzas were 30 min late. Then they wanted to throw us out of the room before we had eaten and sang happy birthday. My Son In Law spoke to the manager and they did give us an additional 15 min. There was no hostess in the room to begin with either. Everything seemed haphazard. I doubt we'll have anymore birthdays here. read more

My kids had a lot of fun but man this place- for being brand new in the last few months it really has taken a beating. The upkeep is just terrible. Cleanliness is lacking terribly. The restrooms- awful- no toilet paper, no paper towels. There were crumbs of food in the play area because there is no one at the gate enforcing rules. No one even checking wristbands so really anyone can just walk in which is terrifying and not safe. Many of the ball drop and spinning toys are broken already. The eating area was disgusting. People were all over complaining about how long the food took. My hopes were so high for this place but changes need to be made. Hopefully they get their act together and learn how to run this type of business. I've been to too many of these places to know- this is not well run or cared for. read more

We used to frequent the Wheaton location until we also witnessed the manager being rude and bullying his young staff. We then started going to the Nikes location. We happened to be there a couple weeks ago when the Wheaton manager was at the Nikes location for some reason. Again I witnessed him bullying and being ridiculously rude to the staff , who all seemed very young. It appeared as though one young lady was reduced to tears. The actual manager at the Niles location is very kind and you can tell she cares about her staff and visitors. read more

I give it 5 star because it has what you're looking for. Concerning, the lack of cleanliness!!! It's filthy and for every person in there enjoying a meal at the entrance. I wondered what their house looks like. They don't require you to wear sock purchased from them and if they did they don't have no grip on the bottom. Friendly staff but the place is a dump! read more
