Woodruff and Smith stood out because they were the only ones telling us we could get away with a smaller AC unit than the others were telling us and they put the guarantee in writing. Over the years after that install, we have had nothing but impeccable service. Thankfully, we haven't needed many service calls (and if we do, it's been partly our fault for not replacing a filter or something like that) but of course when we need them it's the coldest or hottest of days and yet we receive prompt service. We've never not had same day service which is incredible. Today's service call for our air conditioner was no different. Last night we noticed it was no longer cooling. We called this morning and got an appt right away and better yet, he was early for the appointment (this is practically unheard of anymore) and fixed the issue within 15 minutes. My husband and I cannot praise the work and customer service of Woodruff and Smith enough!

Dangerous and unethical - buyer beware. Furnaces have the potential to be lethal, find a real…read moreprofessional and keep your family safe. Admiral installed a brand new Lennox furnace without doing any sort of measurements to determine what size furnace would be safe for our home. Within the first two years, the furnace began leaking carbon monoxide -- the levels were too low to set off our CO alarms, but high enough to cause serious permanent damage to my family (including 3 young children). By the grace of angels we discovered the leak as it worsened in the last couple months and almost became fatal (confirmed by medical follow up). When Admiral came out to fix this, they guaranteed "with 100% certainty" that it was a cracked heat exchanger (which they later denied saying when it was convenient for them). They agreed (after an unprofessional argument) to replace the furnace (which was still under warranty) only with the exact same size furnace. Our home had shown all the symptoms of a furnace that was sized too large (a potential cause of a cracked heat exchanger in a new furnace), so we were scared to replace it with the same furnace without first making sure it was a safe size for our home. We asked Admiral about the sizing and partner Brian glanced up at our basement ceiling and said, "eh, looks ok." We asked them to do the measurements according the Lennox manufacturer recommendation for safety. Admiral strangely blatantly refused, stating they "will absolutely not be doing a load calculation." (Why??) Fast forward -- we had an actual expert come and do the load calculation and, lo and behold, Admiral had given us a furnace that was dangerously large for our home. Also strangely, the furnace manufacturer Lennox offered Admiral a check for $4000 to refund us for the death trap furnace they sold us, but Admiral refused this, too. The local Lennox rep Chris Vicari preferred to do nothing in regards to ensuring the safety of families with Lennox products, because his main concern was losing his commissions from Admiral. Throughout our experience with admiral, they never once showed concern for our family's health, never once apologized, never asked if we were okay or any other questions of concern about our serious health issues from this, spoke condescendingly and insulting while we were scared going through crisis, were difficult at every step as we tried to make sure our family was safe with basic industry standard safety requests, reminded us multiple times what a huge favor they were doing for us by doing the very bare minimum that they could get away with, and were perfectly content to leave us high and dry with permanently injured children. They truly didn't care. I will never understand why they refused to do the right thing and just measure properly when given the second chance to fix this and make sure we were safe. They really felt okay putting in the same dangerously oversized furnace in a home with my 3 children, without first making sure it would be safe. It baffles me. This is not a difficult calculation... it is standard in HVAC. I am in a completely different field and was able to do the load calculation myself without struggle.... I ended up with the same number that the pros ended up with. The owner acted like it was rocket science... while at the same time condescendingly pointing out repeatedly what an expert he was....... The owner Steve only believes that other men are worth his time and has zero empathy... insulting, arguing, and condescending our family the day after it was confirmed that I had nearly lost my life and that my children would now need follow up care for permanent injury... we were scared and in crisis and looking to him to make sure we were safe this time -- giving them the chance to make this right, after their original incident of lazy workmanship had led to this life altering situation (because, they're such "experts" that they don't need to bother with those pesky safety standards - they can just eye it, as they explained to me.)... he really said "funny I have been in HVAC for 30 years and you have been researching for 2 days", how heartless can a person get? (hey Steve, don't you know that no one does better research than a worried mother?? )... his son/partner Brian is a chip off the ol' block and acts like he knows everything, but is almost too incompetent to even have a conversation with. He's lucky his dad gave him a job because he'd have trouble elsewhere with his attitude. Carbon monoxide poisoning on a new furnace is not something that happens often, but it happens - these are NOT the kind of people you want anywhere near anything having to with your family's well-being. It's money and pride over everything for these guys, stay far, far away. Still waiting on that apology, Steve.... and in case it ever occurred to you to ask how any of us are doing health wise, the answer is - not well. But I know you won't bother to ask.

I purchased the furnace but Steve liked to say he has never worked with me because it wasn't my house. 3 year old furnace. His reasoning is lame. His story is flawed and misleading because he likes to omit the truth. He also refused to refund me thousands of dollars, even though Lennox had offered to refund him payable to me. Never use Admiral. I recommend Wade Heating..better furnace..and the correct size. If you do use Admiral, make sure they do a load calculation and only purchase the correct size. He refuses to do a load calculation and will be happy to install an oversized furnace. Shop around..your family's life may depend on it.

You all led me to this small, local business and you were spot-on, so I am paying it forward by adding my review! My family had our pipes freeze in the winter storm this Christmas. Friday, it was the cold water pipe, which took seven hours of work to unfreeze. We thought we were in the clear and counted our blessings as we kept the cold water running overnight Friday -- only to discover Saturday around noon that the hot water pipe was now frozen solid. Twelve straight hours of effort with hair dryers, space heaters, boiling water pots, heating pad wraps and everything else we could think of did not work and we went to sleep Christmas Eve defeated, wondering how we were hosting the rest of my family on Christmas with no hot water, dishwasher, etc. (Our efforts did eventually pay off with the hot water coming on at 8 a.m. Christmas morning and no pipes bursting. So grateful.) During this nightmare I called a number of plumbers who list themselves as emergency 24/7 plumbers, but only Gary from Brickhaas called back. He called during the span of time that I thought everything was under control, but I asked if we could be booked for later in the week to unclog a bathroom drain I've had a problem with lately. Glad I booked them as, after the pipes thawed, the under sink drain was leaking slightly so Dominic was able to take a look at both of these things today. He called with a 20-minute heads up on his arrival, efficiently took care of the clogged sink and an aerator that was limiting water flow, installed a new kitchen sink trap assembly (which he said I could honestly take or leave; I appreciated the honesty but opted to replace for my own peace of mind), and offered solid advice about what we might do if plans to better insulate those water pipes in the future didn't work out re: rerouting the pipes from their current, poor location. He was highly knowledgeable, didn't hard sell anything and I absolutely got his card as I'll be calling them for future plumbing needs. Yelp comes through, as usual!

This company is a joke. I filed a claim with my home warranty due to the blower motor in the air…read morehandler unit not cycling off like it was supposed to, and they sent Kesco. Ralph came in and checked it, and advised it was a circuit board that he was going to have to order, and that he "rigged" it to where it would the fan would shut off like it should. A month later, out heater on the same unit would not heat when a cold front blew in right before Christmas. Another claim was filed with my home warranty, and Ralph was sent back. He advised it was the heating element and he disabled it. He also flipped the main disconnect off on the central. He claimed he submitted everything to my home warranty for approval and that both claims were approved by the home warranty. A week or two went by, and I called him to see what status was, and Ralph advised he didn't need approval from my warranty due to the unit being under manufacture warranty, and had ordered parts. (Keep in mind this unit is several years old, at least over 5 years) Another week or two went by with no central unit, I called him again to see what status was and he advised he submitted everything to my home warranty and was waiting approval. When I questioned him about it and mentioned he already had approval from home warranty, he told me I was wrong and he didn't tell me that. Another couple of weeks went by and the weather started to warm up, and I text him asking him if I could turn the main disconnect on and at least turn the a/c on, and he said "yeah, that should be fine." After I did all that, nothing happened. I text him back and told him the thermostat clicked, but a/c wouldn't kick on. All he replied was "that's weird". The following day I text him again asking him to come back and check, and he promised he would be at my house by 10 am. He never showed up. I waited till the following day to text him again and asked if he was going to reschedule since he never showed up. I got no answer. My wife even sent him a text a few days later with no answer. I ended up calling my home warranty trying to check status. I was in contact with them numerous times, and every time they called Ralph to check status, he changed stories on what the hold up was. Each time Ralph was contacted by my home warranty, he either said he was waiting approval, had approval and was waiting for parts, or was going to submit paperwork to get approval for repairs. Finally, my home warranty sent a different company after five months to check my a/c, and the new company (Air Force Heating and Air out of San Antonio), fixed within an hour. The technician advised all it was for both issues was a transfer switch. Five months of dealing with Ralph and his excuses to find out it was a transfer switch that our new tech had in the toolbox in his repair truck. Do not use Kesco, Ralph is a joke.
