Against my better judgment, I decided to give them a shot since Caesar's is closed for Chinese New Year. That was a mistake. ​Here is why I won't be back: ​Dishonesty about Skill: I asked three separate times if the barber could do a flat top. He aggravatedly said he could. After a long, painful process, I walked out with a basic crew cut. If you can't do a specific style, just say so. ​Dull Equipment: It felt like his scissors and electric cutters haven't been sharpened in years. My hair was being pulled and yanked the entire time. It was incredibly uncomfortable. Here is a the weirdest part, you have to lean out of the chair, face-down into a sink for the shampoo. His assistant uses Dove bar soap on your head while alternating between ice-cold and scalding-hot water that runs straight up your nose, since you are face down. ​After charging $25 for the cut he clearly didnt deliver on, he actually asks for a tip...well, he said, "what? No tip?" ​I only have myself to blame for trusting him, but take my advice: if you value your hair (and dont like your hair pulled or your nose being flooded with hand soap), wait for your regular barber to get back or go literally anywhere else. read more

We have been here three times now for my 9 year old son and we have been happy each time. We have always been walk ins but during the week between 5 and 6 you may want to have an appointment as they tend to get busy. There is one barber who speaks English well so I always have a picture of what we want done just in case. They take cash or Zelle but if you Zelle make sure you have a cash tip. They are quick but they do a great job! read more

Unfortunately the haircut I received at imperial barbershop was one of the worst haircuts I've received in my life. I specifically told the barber "only cut a little bit" and "I just want a small trim", he said "ok ok" and proceeded to nearly give me a buzz cut. Now I look like I am part Amish and part monk. I can appreciate the fact that they keep their prices cheaper but that does not permit them to disregard the customer's wishes. This barbershop seems to give everyone the same haircut and completely disregard what the customer actually wants. Regular old-fashioned barbershop, not fancy, but clean. Felt very welcome. Located in a large shopping center, so plenty of parking. $17 for a regular number one haircut, with shampoo and a straight razor trim of the neck and sideburns. They also provide straight razor shaves if you'd like. I was very pleased with the service and haircut. Best to make an appointment, but walk-ins are also welcome. The interior is cozy, they practice covid safety guidelines and the barbers are skilled and know what they are doing bc my grandpa always insists on coming here for his haircuts. Worst haircut I've EVER received in my entire life. Have a wedding in a couple days , and was cut by the senior man with glasses. Completely destroyed my hair. Looks like he started but decided not to finish. The clippers burned and hurt every time they made contact with my head, and I was cut a few times behind the ear. I've been to the Imperial Barber Shop a couple of times, and have always enjoyed getting my haircut here. I found this place through Yelp. A lot of the reviews mentioned that it is a Korean stye barber shop. I had no idea what it means to be a Korean style barber until I walked in. Everyone in there is Korean. I walked in, and they greeted me by saying "Annyong haseyo". In the middle of the haircut, the large screen tv had a variety show where they started singing "Gangnam Style". How much more Korean can this place get? I get to work on Monday morning, and my co-workers tell me I look like Psy! The first time I was here, my hair was long. The person who normally cuts my hair was sick. When I need a haircut, I normally just go! So, I just showed up at the place. The only English that the barber spoke was "How you want cut?" I told him, and must've cut the hair for more than 30 minutes. After he finished, he washed my hair. He made me bend forward into the sink, like my head was on a chopping block and proceeded to wash my hair with a bar of soap. He then dried the hair with a towel, and then cut it some more. Then out came a straight razor to cut some more. After the razor, he used the scissors to cut some more. It was probably the most complete haircut I have had in a while. The second time I was here was today. They did the exact same thing again. They cut, and cut, and cut some more. The straight razor scared me. They offered to shave me as well. I decided against it. But, for a few dollars more, they will shave your face, and give you a cucumber treatment, followed by a massage of your arms. I probably should have done it. Not sure if I will be coming back. The regular person who cuts my hair charges me $5. She is a lot more attractive than the Korean guys that cut my hair. But, they don't just cut hair here. It is almost like a spa for men. Never again... Been going here for years, but how would someone mess up this bad. Have my head is short and the other is untouched and just combed to blend in. I have short hair and normally when I get a cut here they do a decent job. I came at about 6:15pm on 10/17/2022 and only one other person there getting their hair cut before. I waited patiently. I have short hair it is very easy. It's all just a buzz cut to be honest. How do you mess it up? Cut one side really short and the other leave it long and comb it over. Push the scissors and snip to make a sound and not cut anything? I wear glasses and honestly blind without it. They combed it over and looked fine until I went home and took a shower. Basically I have to shave my head and start over again. I been coming here for years. $22 for a cut and a $8 tip is normally what I do. If you wanted to go home so bad just say that we are closed. I come here because there's usually no wait or a 5-10 minute wait at most. They have between 2-4 barbers. It's a no frills barber shop and I don't expect anything except shorter hair at the end of my visit. The cuts are average and they aren't going to take their time to make sure every little aspect is in order. They don't speak much English so if you come here expecting a full custom designed haircut with specific instructions like some of the other reviews I've read you will be just as dissatisfied as them. I'm convinced this barber shop is a front. I went in for an emergency haircut for a special event and was cut by the older man. Took 3-5 minutes on a supposed mid taper fade and I ended up looking like chicken little. The man then claimed he was done after zeroing my whole head and went straight to the bathroom. I told the lady this isn't what I wanted and she demanded I pay and come back next time. I will never come back and recommend no one cut their hair here, I don't know how this shop continues to operate under their unprofessional and horrendously mediocre "haircuts." DO NOT go to this barber shop. I tried this salon because it had decent reviews here on yelp, but boy did I regret coming here. Upon walking in, it was hard for me to communicate with employees, as I didn't speak Korean. NO ONE here speaks adequate English. My hair (before it got cut) looked like Mr. Chow, so I didn't think it would be hard for them to change my hair into a 50's greaser hairstyle, as I've had that hair before. I showed the guy who was doing my hair pictures of the hairstyle (front/back/side) before my hair grew long. While an elderly Asian guy was cutting my hair, he was cutting it in a way that looked like I came back from the walking dead. It took him about 45 minutes to finish. When he was done, I looked like a mess. A lady coworker stepped in to try and mend the problem, but it didn't do anything. She only used a SHAVING TOOL (the one you use to shave a beard). Afterwards, she used this vacuum hose to clean off the hair that was all over my shirt. Then she showered and shampooed my head FACE DOWN. I don't know why this salon does that. No decent salon cleans your hair face down in the tub. Plus, they didn't even dry my hair good. On top of that, they don't even have blow dryers! At the end, all the employees were laughing at me because they knew they screwed up my hair. I had to go to ANOTHER salon to clean up their mess, studio 79. They fixed my hair up really well. All in all, if you don't want your head looking like a trainwreck, then do not go to this salon. They need to get their act together, AND provide hair dryers. Having been to my regular barber for the past 20 yrs, I was hesitant to try out a new place, but I couldn't drive an hour away to get a haircut therefore decided somewhere closer I came across this place due to the good yelp ratings. And I was thoroughly impressed. This place seem to specialize in men's haircut. The guy did a superb job. My hair feels super pampered. After the initial haircut, he proceeded to washing. After washing removal of facial hairs. And after that fine tuning again. Excellent technique. And all that for $12. what a deal. I tipped well because they deserve it, and with the amount of detail and attention they put on your head, it is well worth it. Will definitely be back for my next haircut. read more

This barbershop is a hidden gym. Originally not from the area, I looked to Yelp for some barbershop suggestions. A very clean, classic feel to this shop, comparable to many other barbershops I have been to. Paul was the gentleman who cut my hair. Like the other barbers here, they mostly speak only Korean, with a hint of English so our conversation was kept at a minimum. But the cut itself was one of the best I've ever gotten. He cut the top just how I envisioned it, and was surgically precise with my fade on the side. All that, and a shampoo, AND a razor edge-up for $12?!?!?! You bet. Been with this place for over 10+ years, love the total package(cut, shampoo, shave, facial and mini massage). Every time I come I feel relaxed afterwards!
