However, I do want to speak to the service we received form the person who gave us the estimate for the braces (we'll call her "Patty" even though I know that is not her name). After, not only calling and asking whether braces were covered under my insurance prior to our visit, I also gave "Patty" my children's father's insurance information. She let me know that they would be using my insurance because I was born before their father and who knows what else. I was fine with it. Patty showed me the write up of the estimate and even though insurance was supposedly added to the calculation, the monthly payment seemed too high. We had previously been to a couple of other orthodontists offices prior to having insurance coverage and the amount total price for braces given to us by "Patty" was pretty much the same. I just did not understand how that was the case. I even asked "Patty" if that included whatever the insurance covered and she said YES! I think because I agreed to having the boys get their braces while we were sitting there, she thought I was just going to sign up without questioning her about the insurance again. Something didn't feel right, so I told her I would be shopping around because I knew I could get a better deal elsewhere. We walked out of the office thinking I would just call other offices to get more quotes. When we got home, I looked over the estimates that she had given me and lo and behold, she DID NOT include the insurance coverage. Also, I went on my insurance's website and the office does not show up which means that my insurance does not cover. I would have hoped that when I called, the receptionist would have let me know that they did not accept my insurance. And even if she didn't, and we had gone through with this appointment, I would have hoped that "Patty" would have been honest and told us that the receptionist made a mistake and that my insurance didn't cover but that the total cash amount was xxxxx. Not only am I not taking my children there because they do not take insurance. Even if they did take my insurance, that place seems super shady. I'm sure this gal works off commission or something but deceiving people isn't good for business in the long run. I'm not advising not to go to this office but I would advise to make sure you read everything before you sign it because you obviously cannot trust this lady.

Everytime we come for the appointment they say they get backed-up or the doctor is behind. This last time it was an hour wait, another hour wait in the chair and a 15-20 min. treatment. Yeah, no thanks!! This will be the last time we come here. All they have done with my son is cleaning, I can't imagine if it was a procedure that needed to be done. Smh Then on top of that the staff at the front desk want to laugh because there are parents that are annoyed that their time is wasted. So inconsiderate of and unthoughtful. The staff doesn't even reassure you or give you a time frame of how long it will take or the time the child is going to be seen.

When I asked for an update, the oral surgeon was rude and incredibly inappropriate to staff and myself. I'm surprised anyone wants to work with her but even more surprised that any patient stays with her. If I could give no stars, I would. I plan on reporting her to the board as there were many witnesses to this. Additionally, she tried having the staff do unnecessary procedures on my 1 year old even prior to exam. We were here for an oral lesion- referred by a dentist and just had a cleaning. She tried getting us to pay for cleaning and no mention of the oral lesion. But still, most appalling was her behavior towards staff. What a joke of an oral surgeon.

They make sure you're doing well throughout any procedure and triple check to see if you have any questions. As for price, I was quoted something so high for Invisalign at the orthodontist I went to as a high schooler (note to anyone else who has braces, don't forget to wear your retainers or you'll have to do your teeth again like me) BUT when I called Upright, it was a fraction of the price so of course I had to come here as it was reasonable and within budget. A big plus, if you need a dentist, the orthodontist's brother is the dentist downstairs so no need to go far for a cleaning. I have been non stop referring all my friends and family to Upright because everything has been amazing!!
