Although we've always been happy with the food (although mediocre), tonight I had to call to update an item that was no longer available via DoorDash menu. (It happens, right?!) The guy I spoke to was so incredibly rude. He sighed heavily (eye roll kind of sign) and then a second loud sigh left his month with an "oh my god" after I asked for a recommendation/made a decision for the replacement item. I was pretty shocked and said "sorry?" And it was then he told me that he "needs to use the restroom really bad". I told him to put me on hold and he said that he would just wait. It was all so bizarre. Bottom line the rude, unsolicited behavior is a big no for me. Wow. We went in here with low expectations, thinking it would be greasy strip mall food. I had the bean curd dish and it was stellar. Fresh crisp veggies, chewy golden tofu that isn't a bunch of precut triangles. Stands up to any restaurant in a larger city. read more

Great tasting food, nice and friendly staff. I ordered in person for takeout and the cashier was friendly and the waitress helping eat in customers was very accommodating and friendly too. Small but clean and nice dining room. Only a couple of people eating in while I was there at the dinner hour but many people came in to collect takeout food. I only ordered a large beef lo mein, it was a good proportion, the beef was cooked to protection and not slimy like some other places. Sweet and sour chicken was good, but that's hard to mess up. Did like the batter it was fried it, nice and light. Pork fried rice was good too. Nice larger chunks of pork that you don't normally get at a Chinese place. Just wish they delivered. Website says they deliver 10 miles and we are exactly 10 miles away but the worker was a bit confused when asked about delivery to our house. Food was ready within 15 mins of ordering. Had the Phoenix Chicken/Shrimp, Noodles, Gen Tsao's chicken based on other recommendations. Service was lightning fast. Great when you have hungry kids! Not bad, not bad at all! Their pork egg foo young is pretty darn decent - I'm not overly crazy about their gravy, it could definitely use a bit more oyster sauce, which I was able to do at home. It's good enough though, good egg foo young seems to be hard to come by in this lovely state. Their egg rolls are typical average good and my husband's shrimp lo mein was pretty good. I didn't love their wonton soup at all - their dumplings are entirely too thick and the broth leaves a lot to be desired. All in all, I'm excited to try more from Feng's Kitchen! read more

We stopped at Emperor's Garden on recent Saturday afternoon after returning from a trip. I ordered small sweet and sour shrimp, one shrimp egg roll and a small shrimp fried rice (had a hunger for shrimp!). I received: (1) a small container of deep fried pork instead of sweet and sour shrimp, no tomato, pineapple, or anything else that makes up a sweet and sour dish; (2) an egg roll with shrimp and big pieces of chopped onion; and (3) shrimp fried rice that tasted of vinegar. None of it was palatable. My wife had a beef with broccoli, which she calls "unsatisfactory." Based on my experience this place is a Chinese food disaster, and I've been to China. Not only when we went there did they mess up our entire order and then ask us to drive 20 minutes back to the restaurant to receive a refund for all the items that they forgot. What we did receive was fatty, gross, rubbery meat. They cannot refund a purchase over the phone you literally have to drive to their store to rectify their errors. Save yourself the trouble and go to Pick N Save next-door and just buy frozen Chinese food and make it at home, it will be so much better. We went here last night and ordered carry out and were very disappointed. We got crab rangoon, seasame chicken with pork fried rice, and moo goo gai pan with white rice. The crab rangoon was too crispy and lacked any crab meet. The seasame chicken was dry and had a mustard taste to it. And the moo goo gai pan had very little sauce with no flavor and was over loaded in gross button mushrooms that tasted like they just threw a handful of raw mushrooms in to the dish. The egg rolls were ok, but not impressive-one pork and one veggie. The best part of our meal were the fortune cookies at the end! We thought we were going to a great Chinese place do to the reviews, but definitely won't be going back read more

Stopped in on my way to Madison from the Milwaukee airport. From the outside I thought it might be a fast-food, low quality place. However, there was a lot of foot traffic in and out as folks picked up take out. Thinking that was a good sign, I parked and went in. The six or so tables inside were empty except for a pile of fresh snap peas on one--another good sign: fresh vegetables. I ordered the cashew chicken, it came quickly, not more than 30 seconds from wok to my table, and it was delicious. In watching the staff I am convinced that they must be the owners. They gave great customer service and seemed to care about attention to details keeping the place clean and in good order. All in all, a great experience.
