This is one of our favorite Chinese takeout places in the area. For the price you pay, you usually get at least a couple meals out of the dish; the chicken egg foo young is consistently quite good and sizable, so that's three separate meals right there. The General Tso's is nice and spicy, and the hot and sour soup is a favorite of my husband's. And their crab rangoons are some of the best in the area. We'll keep coming back! read more

We have been going here for a couple of years. The food is good. Today was the first time we had to use the public restroom and UGH! An employee was exiting as I waited to go in. Everything was filthy, including the doorknob and definitely the lightswitch cover. The employee went right from touching that light cover to picking up a bag of rice. Now I'm wondering how sanitary the kitchen is. Makes me rethink going here again. read more

Overall disappointing...I gave two stars because they were friendly. It all started with the crab rangoons. They were not fried long enough, so they were still a bit mushy but oddly the filling was starting to ooze out of them. That brings me to the filling; way too sweet for my taste. Next to the entrees: we ordered spicy beef, king pao chicken and pepper steak. Everything was really bland and all tasted the same. The pepper steak had hardly any steak in it and what was in there tasted kind of strange. I guess the search continues for a decent Chinese carry out place out here in the burbs. read more

I'm quite conflicted on the score, if i could rate it a 3.5 i definitely would, but as of this writing, i unfortunately have to go with a 3. Service was courteous and quick. Interior of the store was clean and quite lovely. Food was just okay. only bad thing was my dumplings were just a tad burnt. other than that, there's nothing inherently bad with the food. its tasty and filling, but it just "alright". Its like a meal you've come to enjoy just for its comfort, for the warmness of the feeling. A meal you find yourself coming back to every now and again. You know it could use a bit of a kick, but you don't know what sort of kick it needs and you wanna rock the boat cause its a really comfortable boat. I have been getting delivery from here for like 6 years or more now. It's my favorite, the food is always fresh and hot and fast. They are so friendly I requested no tofu in my soup just in case it was something they added later, I said don't worry about it if it's time consuming, and the nice man did it for me which was so sweet!!! And he is the one that always delivers my food. I'm so thankful for their great service. I will be ordering from them for as long as they stay in business. My favorite dish is the walnut shrimp and I put it over vegetable lo mein and I always request the lo mein to be spicy. It's a great mix of sweet and creamy shrimp with salty and spicy noodles!! This place has been a dive of ours for a long time. Either eat in/take home, it is always great. It is the only good Chinese in this area, so everyone come there. Their take out line is always busy, so call ahead if you can. Located in the strip at the corners of Brookfield Rd and Capital, there is plenty of parking. People are coming a going, so spaces open all the time. Inside there is 6-8 tables, which can be arranged to accommodate different size groups. They have many different types items to meet the need of any eater, beef, chicken,pork,seafood and vegetarian. Staples for our family are the Sesame chicken, sweet and sour pork, potstickers, to name a few. Vegetarian options are great as well. It is great place to get the pick up to carry home. We do that every Christmas Eve after church. Be sure to place your order early in the afternoon and give them your pickup time. They will have it ready for you. So I was looking for a quick Chinese food infusion for dinner. I wasn't expecting much, and not much is what I got. I walked up to the counter and read the menu before placing my order. The two high-school girls were chatting away before I had to say "excuse me" in order to place my order. The older of the two girls (I posted her picture) was beyond brusque. She was just plain rude. She slammed the card receipt on the mat and pretty much toss a pen in top of it. When I looked at her (as I was pretty much appalled) I got a look from her that pretty much said "hurry up because I was talking". Food came. Scallops were pretty good. I asked for fried dumplings and not steamed, but that's what I got. I just realized why the girl was upset. I ordered scallops, and she thought I meant shrimp until I explained that I wanted S15 on the menu. Then she got it, even though she asked her younger friend what a scallop was. I hope the owners read this. I realize it's just a quick pickup place. However. Common courtesy goes a long way. Good thing I live out if town, which will save me the trouble of saying that I'm not going back. read more

Great Wall had always been my go-to, and Ive appreciated their Covid safety precautions--one person is allowed in a small vestibule at all times and all staff members are visibly wearing masks correctly, including in the kitchen. This place is amazing. This is the best Chinese food in Milwaukee. I'm a bit of a rice snob and almost never eat white rice from Chinese restaurants (I order fried rice). The white rice here is excellent and I even finished the leftovers. General tzos and the walnut shrimp are really good dishes. On my last order I had the hot and spicy beef and that was tasty. On my last trip I asked for extra spicy sauce and the girl behind the counter asked "the homemade one?". I'm not sure if it's actually home made but it's excellent (although a bit oily). I've never had better Chinese food in Milwaukee than this place. If I could give it more than 5 stars they'd get 10 stars. read more

Prices for their Saturday lunch specials, which is what we mainly get here, that for me usually include egg drop soup (very good!), fried rice, and chicken and broccoli or general tso's chicken, are unbeatable. Good food at a very good price. I always grab a sucker on the counter for the kids, so it quickly became a favorite place for the kids, too. Clever marketing by the owners. I just tried a few things from here, and I suppose as far as Chinese food goes it's okay. I started out with some crab rangoon which were pretty good. They were crispy on the outside and the filling was nice and soft. I would have liked them to be closed a little more, and to be a little larger, but they were okay. The pork egg roll was actually an egg roll that I liked, which I usually don't. It had a hint of curry powder I believe. The hunan chicken was pretty standard Chinese food, nothing out of the ordinary here. The best part was my fortune, apparently I'll soon be surrounded with luxury... I wonder who's though? I'd eat from here again, but not being a big Chinese food buff, I can't say that I've had better. read more

Got into Brookfield Hampton in after 8 pm hungry and tired. Placed an order from Great Wall because they delivered to the hotel. Food was piping hot and driver was very nice. Friendly phone people taking my order as well. Spring roll was crisp and fresh. Steamed chicken with mixed vegetables was a very generous portion and the white rice was excellent. Best white rice ever which I know sounds weird but it was so moist! The Brown sauce in the side was flavorful without being greasy. I was in the area so I looked at the gps for a spot and chose this one. It's in a strip mall with a subway. The place was clean and your typical decor. I had the general tsos chicken lunch special with an egg roll on the side. I don't eat tsos chicken so I can't compare it to any other. Over all it was your a little above average Chinese place. The meal was the chicken, fried rice, flowers of broccoli, egg drop soup and a bag of some crispy things with an egg roll. First off the egg roll was a big fat one not the skinny or shrunk down one. It was full of fresh crisp tasty ingredients and pretty good because most places have crap egg rolls. The chicken, fried rice and egg drop were good. I really liked the fresh crisp vegetables in everything that we're not over cooked to mush that so many places do. If I'm in the area and I will from time to time I would go back and try other dishes. The portion size of the meal was decent because I took home more than half for about $7.00. I opted for take out because there was a heat problem and the place was cold which is why the woman behind the counter was wearing a winter coat. read more
