Totally disappointed in this place and feel embarrassed. Saw the good reviews and was excited to come especially when I walked in and saw it empty but the older man in the back made this such a bad experience. I had thought I would be able to qualify for a waiver and went in excited and asking questions but he just made me feel stupid instead of explaining or checking for sure. Very plain office but clean and organized, which is more important nowadays anyway. I was a walk-in for a live scan (they only take walk-ins before 3:30pm - not sure if that's everyday but it's true for Thursdays at least). Paid $22 and was in and out within 15 minutes. I'm sure price depends on the employer and what the live scan is for so I'd call to double check pricing. Straight to the point and answered my questions. He used a glove to touch my hand, so I appreciated that. Plenty of parking but be careful with the drivers that come in the wrong way. Had to do live scan. It was really fast once I found my QR Code. The email confirmation said bring either or. The QR code or email confirmation with pre paid code. I could not find the QR code. I guess it's never happened before and I was the first one. The man that was there seemed lost as if it had never happened before. He called who seemed to be the owner, who questioned me like I was crazy, saying, "Who sent you here!?!?" In a very discourteous manner. It seemed like such a bothersome problem. He was questioning the pre payment as if they didn't know what I was talking about. I explained the email and pre paid code once again. I even offered to go back home and try to retrieve the form and QR code. He finally said he should be able to do it With the pre pay code but I had to wait until this guy arrived. After checking my trash emails I found the QR code and it took about 2 minutes from that point on. Lesson learned: make sure your wife doesn't delete emails and ensure you have the QR code could have saved me like 25 minutes. They could be a little more courteous to customers also.that would have maybe made it 5 stars. read more

Came here to do a live scan for work. I walked in and there were just two employees in the office. My paperwork processing went relatively quickly, but the actually rolling of my prints took forever. She kept saying I had blurry prints...uhhh, huh? I have had difficulty before due to sweaty palms, but this time around, there should have been no reason for her to have difficulty with my prints. I needed my FBI/DOJ fingerprints done for my sub teaching permit. Came here a few weeks back. Poor street placement, a little sketchy looking, but they accepted walk ins and they were open until 6:30 so I could come after work. The guy scans my prints. He's not very friendly, but it's rather quick and painless. Two weeks later, I get a notice from the CA Commission on teacher credentialing that my fingerprints were rejected due to "insufficient pattern areas recorded for identification purposes." It also said that "no additional processing fees will be charged for this re-submission." Regardless of the fact that my poor fingerprint quality had to do with the way the fingerprints were RECORDED, they wanted to charge me $13. For what? To re-do a job that should have been done right the first time?? What a joke. The older gentlemen goes on to say it's MY fingerprint pattern that's causing the problem, and I flat out told him I didn't agree. Getting into education, I have my prints taken at every job I work. I've had my prints taken 3 times. Never had a problem. The granddaughter is the only redeeming quality about this place. She offered to waive the fee just this once but her grandfather came back and made it impossible. Keep her, Imperial. She understands that a happy customer means future business, referrals, and is worth more than $13. read more
