What an exceptional and inviting staff! These gentlemen have such a great passion for their craft. One of the best liquor stores that we've ever visited. Melissa & I had visited Imperial Wine & Spirits a week ago while downtown in Metro Center, D.C. We saw a signed posted outside the shop for a big sale promotion on their liquors. When we entered we were blown away by the massive selections and great deals on quality liquors. Not to mention the knowledge that Bobby and Jason knew about the selections. More impressively was the warm and friendly welcome we were given by Bobby and Jason! We felt like we've known them forever. Bobby, the owner, is not only a wine and liquor connoisseur. Imperial Wine and Spirits is one of the best liquor stores in town! Not only are they located across the metro (allowing me to spare some time on my route home) but they also carry a large selection of premium spirits. The staff are always friendly and it seems like they are always serving free samples, which allows me to try new things. They have really great prices, especially for the area. The staff is also knowledgeable about all their products, which helps when you have many to choose from. Definitely worth stopping by! read more

My husband and I recently went to DC for the weekend to celebrate our 10th anniversary and happened upon this place to find our celebratory wine. They were very helpful and patient while helping us pick out a bottle. After we decided on one, they gave us another (different) bottle to try as well, plus a bottle opener. Best liquor store in downtown dc!!! :) the owner is very friendly, helpful, and funny. He made my first time such a great experience to the point where this is the only liquor store I shop in.. very neat, clean, and a pleather of options to shop from. Also, the prices are extremely great given the area. I was surprised at how affordable everything was and the samples of new liquor you can get! Definitely the best experience I've received in any liquor store hands down. Bobby was so kind and generous when I went in just to quickly grab a bottle of vodka for a friends party. He offered so many tastings based on flavors he thought I'd like and then offered food recommendations and pairings and gave us so many samples I didn't even have enough hands to carry everything! I stopped in for some Green Hat gin. When I didn't see the summer variety on the shelf and asked about it the staff (Perhaps the owner? I should have asked!) insisted on getting me a bottle from the other location. They had it ready and waiting for me the next day. I can't wait to try them side by side. I stopped by tempted by a great selection of delicious-looking Rose' Wines at their window on a hot day. And I was not disappointed. The guy that was working was super helpful - I'm a pretty knowledgeable wine drinker and he didn't just try and direct me to the most expensive of his deep selection, but rather a couple of bottles that were perfect for my event. So pleased with their customer service. We were having a shindig at our office the next day and one young lady who was working took the time to assist me and my coworkers find the drinks we were looking for. The young lady who works there is terrific. She helped me to select a few amazing reds and was able to order me a bottle of 20 year Pappy Whisky, which is super difficult to find around here. I went into this establishment on a fluke one day after work, searching for my favorite bourbon (Clyde Mays). Bobby the owner did not have it in stock, but he found it and now keeps it in stock for me. It is like having your own neighborhood liquor store right in the city.
