Beautiful selection of flowers in bulk! Helpful staff! I could spend a fortune in there!

Gorgeous selection. It's nice that you can walk in and make your own bouquet but it's clear that the whole team is moving and doing their own thing. I wasn't helped & there weren't prices on anything, so I left spending $50 on a bouquet that only consisted of a few choices, and nothing particularly amazing either. Maybe if they had walk in hours vs they're busy hours (such as morning rush to get trucks out) it would be more helpful. I love a local business and worked at a flower shop during holiday times so I'd love to go back, but I'd like to know what I'm spending & get some help without seeming like a burden. read more

Ok so this is a super cool place to buy flowers. I got my wedding flowers from here and they were super nice. I picked everything I wanted and put it on a bucket, you can take them the same day or they let you keep them there till you pick them up, no need to pay! Talk about trusting customers. I also think they will sell it no matter what, came there next day and the store was empty. You can bring your own bucket or you can buy theirs at $4-5 each if I recall correctly. They also have a price sheet with all of their flowers they have. They have about 5 coolers full of flowers and the smell! Wow, I just want to work there so I can smell that delicious fragrance at all times. I definitely will recommend this place as a flower heaven. For a special event or the special occasion of living everyday! Parking is tight but they have parking. read more

I love Import Flowers! First they always have such beautiful flowers to select from but what really stands out to me is their hospitality. It's so easy to become a number and not a person to organizations but you won't feel this way buying florals from Import. I recently had an amazing experience when they went out of their way to help me purchase flowers over the phone and then brought them out to my car after the most recent snow storm so I could avoid pulling into their lot that hadn't had a chance to melt yet (I'm scared of snow and ice, had an accident in it once!). Stopped in today while I was waiting for my husband to finish a doctor's appointment. I just wanted enough flowers for a small bouquet that reminded me of my wedding. Service was excellent and the man who helped me threw in a few flowers that he didn't have enough room to keep and was going to throw away anyway. We finally had the chance to visit Import Flowers while getting supplies for a party. It was our first trip there and I was very pleased with our experience. Their selection is unsurpassed by anywhere else in Nashville (to my limited knowledge, as I've only used Kroger and Smith & Rogers for our floral needs previously). They had exactly what we were looking for, and I was very surprised at their pricing. We picked up what we thought were two dozen roses. What I didn't realize was, due to the way they were packaged, we ended up with four dozen roses. The price couldn't be beat and these were, by far, the best looking roses we've ever bought from a florist. Since we're not as familiar with that side of town, we thought it might be hard to find the building. Murphy Road was easy to access and Import Flowers was just beyond the railroad tracks, so if you're driving too fast, you might miss it. They're not open past 4pm, which makes it hard to pick items up throughout the week, so plan to go on a lunch break or during their Saturday hours (7am - 12pm). We went on a Friday around noon and they were somewhat busy, which resulted in a bit of a wait. That only led us to finding more items we wanted, so the wait wasn't completely wasted. read more

Recently painted and fancied up with a new mural, Import Flowers still does not look like your usual lavish flower shop. However, it definitely merits a look inside. Due to their local popularity, flower selection really depends on the day you stop in. Some days its full of flowers, other days all their stock can be seen streaming out the door into delivery vans. Regardless, they have a good selection at good prices. I went in there once wanting to just buy a rose, and the nice guy working that day just gave it to me for free. Now don't rush over thinking you are going to get free flowers, but stop by and take a look at what they have to offer. read more

I only selected 4/5 because the groom's mother bought hydrangea's for bouquets and either didn't ask, or wasn't advised on the care of the flowers - and they wilted before the wedding. Got flowers for our wedding from Import Flowers! Before stopping by, I gave them a call and guy I spoke to was super nice! Hoping to miss any crowds, I decided to go on a weekday right when they opened which turned out to be a bad idea. Apparently, they had just gotten a shipment in, so it was a little crazy. The staff all seemed very busy, and I didn't want to bother them with my questions. They do have a price list, but not having much experience with flowers, I didn't always know which flowers corresponded with price list. When I asked one of the employees for advice, he stated that I may want to refer to a florist. Not in a rude manner, just matter of fact. Although my questions didn't pertain to arrangements. I wanted to know which flowers are more hardy than others, further explanation of price, etc. I don't know if he didn't understand my question or if that is something they typically don't explain. I would definitely return again, but I would go better prepared and find out there least busiest times before. read more

the quotes we were getting from florists for our wedding were all over $1000, which seemed like way too much! luckily, someone pointed me in the direction of import flowers. my then fiance/now hubby and i popped in, took a look around, and ordered a variety of loose stems in bulk to be picked up on our wedding day. they had a huge selection and the flowers were very fresh. the staff were all very knowledgable and friendly. my crafty bridesmaids arranged the flowers into beautiful bouquets and centerpieces and the total cost was ~$300. i highly recommend import flowers for any nashville bride on a budget. read more

I wanted flowers but they weren't super important to me so I didn't want to spend much, I went in knowing basically what I wanted and was able to get the staff to quickly answer a few questions, but they focus more on just having cheap flowers than on customer service which was just fine with me because I didn't want them trying to sell me all sorts of things I didn't need, they were able to recommend certain types of roses and filler flowers, I went in and was able to ask for the price list for the week of my wedding from the year before to see what they'd likely have available and those prices, I ordered about six weeks in advance and they actually got them delivered the month before my wedding (I didn't get a receipt or any other confirmation so I couldn't do a final check on the date when ordering) but they didn't charge me or give me any trouble when I said it was supposed to be a month later, some of their staff arrange on the side but Ruth quoted me for an amount that was the same price as what I was paying for flowers so I decided to arrange them myself, it was the cheap but pretty good flowers that I needed, I picked up two days before my wedding so I could arrange them but I probably should have picked them up one day before. read more

I've used Import on several occasions to provide flowers for client home parties and I can honestly say that each time I walk in the door I am impressed with their selection and service. Most recently, I stopped in rather in a hurry trying to make a quick arrangement for a colleague. Not only did one of the staff members take the time to help me select some different and fun flowers, she also offered to bunch them into an arrangement for me. All I had to do when I got home was pop them into the vase. The prices cannot be beat - I was able to obtain a full-size arrangement on my last visit for $35. (A similar piece would have cost much more at another flower shop.) The location is convenient to downtown Nashville and the surrounding west suburbs. If you're in the market for flowers, most certainly stop by. You can't beat Import. read more

Import flowers is amazing. I called a few weeks in advance of an event with basically an idea and a budget and not much knowledge. They talked me through the whole process. They gave great ideas and suggestions and really listened to what I wanted. When I went to pick up my order the day before the event the staff was super helpful and they gathered my ordered and helped me to my car. I put the arrangements together that day. The next morning some of the filler plants just looked wimpy, I went back to pick up more and they replaced what had withered and gave me ideas on what to add to get the feeling I was going for. All around a great experience. I will only use them in the future. I had called many places and got many quotes and they were the best place in town by far!!! I'm a huge fan. read more

My husband has been here several times to buy me flowers, and every time he has urged me to stop by. I love flowers, and he was certain I would love the place. Well, he was right! I volunteered to coordinate a celebration dinner for my church and stopped by Import when doing research for the flower arrangements. Every time I called or visited, the staff was very helpful. I was planning my destination wedding in Nashville, and having a hard time finding a florist who would work with me. One of the florists I called recommended Import Flowers. I could not be more grateful!! I talked to Ashley on the phone about the look I was going for and some of the flowers I had in mind, and she helped me determine what would fit my vision, as well as how much of everything I should order. She recommended substitutes for things that weren't in season (February wedding). We picked the flowers up the day before my wedding and, I ended up making some last minute changes because some of the flowers I had wanted just didn't look that good given that it was early February. The staff had actually put the peonies I had ordered aside because they said they weren't pretty enough (they were small and wimpy) and had a suggestion of some beautiful garden roses instead. The employees were all extremely helpful and patient as I tried to figure out what I wanted. Overall, my flowers turned out beautifully and didn't break the bank. I really can't give this place a star. I did purchased flowers before and the service was just ok. I decided to give it a second chance but what a bad decision :( The service was horrible, no attention and very rude lady. I asked for help for a center piece arrangements. I even showed to her the base and she totally ignored me and told that there were the flowers. Asked for prices for some flowers and she did not even response. I left and I hope people can read this. People need to be more attentive and provide service. read more

The staff at Import Flowers are awesome--very communicative and helpful. I wanted to create my own bouquet for my small wedding and I knew nothing about the flower-ordering process. They walked me through everything and were very patient. My flowers were beautiful and exactly what I wanted. They can order you pretty much anything you want in any color--check their pricing sheets on their website, give them a call and they'll walk you through it all. I came here to purchase the flowers for my wedding bouquet and decorations, and boy am I glad I did! I had a picture of a bouquet that I had in mind and the staff was very helpful; they pointed out the places where I'd be able to find what I was looking for (4 coolers and an entire floor with rows and rows of flowers!). They won't make your bouquet for you (which is not what I was looking for, but just to keep that in mind) but they give you a space to set things down and they'll give you great advice and suggestions if you need it. Did I mention just how many different varieties of flowers they have? Unless you're looking for a flower that can only be found deep in the amazon and is the only one of it's kind I can almost guarantee you'll find what you're looking for here. This place is also incredibly reasonably priced. I recommend coming here if you're the DIY type, if you have something specific in mind, or if you have a bit of a flower fetish. I gotta say, though, my wedding flowers were definitely one of the highlights of my wedding thanks to import flowers. read more
