Hands down they have the best bread I have had in South Fl. We found them during the pandemic at a drive-through farmers market and fell in love with well everything they sell. Their asiago bread is absolute perfection, their raisin bread is phenomenal with thai amazing cinnamon & sugar crust , and we love their Tuscan loaf & swiss and cheddar bread! Their eclairs are a mix between the normal yellow custard and a white custard which makes the filling light, airy, and so tasty! My wife absolutely loves their lobster tails, the pecan tarts are amazing will with the perfect amount of nuts & goo! The raspberry pie is also delicious and they're tiramisu was so perfect with this rich espresso flavor! We have spent way to much money at this place and have been back every week since we discovered them! Try anything and your going to love it! read more

This place is is great. They made our wedding cake over 10 years ago our friends and family still talk about it. Their pastries and breads are always fresh and delicious. There croissant breakfast sandwiches are phenomenal and worth trying. The coffee is not always the best but it is available and they do have a good selection of other drinks as well. My review is for the Downtown Stuart Location 555 S Colorado Ave, Stuart, FL Hidden in a plaza right before the downtown entry, I was so happy to find it! The staff working this morning were very friendly. They showed me everything they had from muffins to cakes, gluten free, cookies and cannolis. My plan was to stay for several hours and work so, I had to get a few tasty items. The simple black Rainforest coffee was bold, smooth and available for refill. The vegetarian omelet was a perfect start. I'm a huge apple turnover fan, this one was good but not my favorite. The coconut macaroon was unbelievably yummy! Unhappy with their policies. I have been trying to purchase rainbow cookies. Spoke to the baker, he said he'll start making them in a week. I call to find out if they have them in stock. They say yes. I get to the store, none left. Next try, she tells me there is a tray in the back, but they have to fill orders first. I ask to place an order, she tells me they won't take an order. I purchased their Lobster Tail pastry and a Stolen(which was too dry) and was disappointed in both. Vesuvius pizzeria is where I'll be buying my pastries from now on. read more

This is one of my favorite coffee spots. The coffee - brewed or espresso - is consistently well made, and smoother than, say, Starbucks. And I never can resist the cherry & cream cheese strudels. All I can say is spectacular! The red velvet cake was to die for and the butter cream icing had a most wonderful hint of citrus to it. So based on their "Epi" style of French bread and a most wonderful Red Velvet cake they easily earned five stars. But the problem with the cashiers on the prior visit still looms large in my mind. I've been to Importico's several times now, but every time is the same. The food and baked goods they have are phenomenal, however the service is the complete opposite. Never a greeting when I walk in, and never any friendliness from any of their staff. I went there 45 minutes before they closed one time, and every single time someone walked in, one staff member would say to the other, "what time is it?" as if they were about to close. To me, that doesn't make your customers feel welcome. I hope the owner reads this and makes proper changes, but I will be looking for another bakery. read more

I am sitting at my desk eating the second half of my sandwich from yesterday, I flip back and forth between this location and the one on Colorado. Unfortunately their computer systems are not linked so purchases at each site do not combine to give you a frequent shopper discount more quickly. You need to keep adding at each store to get an individual discount at that location. Their egg salad is good - no extra spices, just plain old egg salad. I like that I can select the bread they use. I always accompany my lunch with a walnut brownie. Very good, but I am still looking for a bakery like up north. I order desserts regularly for family holidays and company functions- they are always a hit. Their fruit torte is wonderful. Okay. I am going to be brutally honest here. I have been to Importico's once before. There were cleanliness issues, but not like today. I ordered a tuna sandwich on a baguette. On their menu, it says that you can get lettuce, onion, tomato, red peppers, banana peppers, mayo, mustard, oil and vinegar. I asked for all of that, minus the tomato, mayo, and mustard. The girl that just handled the money in the register, puts on gloves and goes to make my sandwich. If you know anything about food service, you know that you wash your hands before you put on gloves. I let that one slide. During making my sandwich, SHE TOUCHED HER HAIR. When I pointed it out, she said she didn't realize, to which I responded that I was sure she didn't, but to please not do it. At that point, she should have asked me if I wanted her to start over, because of course she should. She didn't even change her gloves. She finished preparing my sandwich and handed it to me. There was no lettuce, so I asked for some. I realized that lettuce might not be the only thing she forgot, so I asked if it has oil and vinegar. It did not. Again, I had to reiterate that I wanted everything that your menu says is available, minus the tomato, mayo, and mustard. She finished my sandwich again, and as icing on the cake, put a bag of potato chips on top of my sandwich. In what world is the exterior of a bag of chips guaranteed to be clean enough to put on top of something that someone is going to eat? Now I have a sandwich I won't eat that cost me $9.00 plus an undeserved $1 tip. Not only that, but I am at work, so I can't just leave again to go get food elsewhere. I don't understand how someone this unaware of food prep norms can work in the food service industry. It's downright disgusting if you ask me. I hope that I hear back from someone from this restaurant. In my book, this is unacceptable and should be somehow rectified. Rant over. read more

Although everything I've had here has been delicious, the service has deteriorated over the past 2 years from friendly and helpful to rude and/or nonexistent. I've experienced comments like you have to pay for this in advance rather than their usual would you like to leave a deposit. Or, I can't make change as I'm not good in math, after finding that I had been given too much money and then returned it. Enemy the manager can be rude when she's in a hurry, do the employees notice this and act the same way. read more

For Father's day I wanted to try someplace new so I ordered 1/2 dozen sticky buns, 1/2 doz plain croissants and 1 cinnamon raisin roll. The bill was just over $35.00. Aside from being ridiculously over priced, the items were a bit stale. The sticky buns and roll were tasty. The croissants were not the best I've had. Because of the prices, I will not go back there. Not only did the manager arrange to have a beautiful cheesecake of our choice (Italian, chocolate mousse, key lime or New York style) prepped for us on the spot, it was fast and friendly service. Unless you are coming in to get something that has already been pre-made such as a pastry don't bother. The service is terribly slow and my egg sandwich came out raw, which I waited 20 min for. I would like to add that there was no one in front of me in line and the tables were empty, so it's not like they were packed. Typical Italian American bakery with tasty food and friendly service. My partner and I stopped by for a late breakfast and coffee. Even though it was a few minutes after the official close of breakfast, they very happily made me an egg and bacon sandwich on ciabatta. The sandwich was very good and the bread was delicious. My partner had the quiche Lorraine and he enjoyed it as well. In addition to quality Colombian coffee, we also shared an almond croissant and some Italian cookies, which we thought were good. Yes if you like and egg sandwich made in the microwave and old quiche reheated in the micro, pastries are ok but make sure you go for the ones in front, they like to stick you with old pastries from the day before, the bread is good ,but if you want a sandwich buy the bread and make it yourself, way too expensive for a sandwich,also the coffee is cheap and always cold..I think they should have a coffee machine to brew fresh coffee but they have something similar to 7 eleven where you serve yourself, and they charge 2 bucks for a small cup of that nasty coffee!, that's what happens when you don't wanna pay for a good barista and sandwich maker and hire kids who are clueless just to pay the minimum wage .
