My kids had such an awesome time at this farm. They enjoyed petting all the animals, such as the baby goats, bunnies, piglets, and kittens. They also enjoyed getting to pick out their own pumpkins. This may be our yearly tradition.

Love this pumpkin patch! Great place to bring your kids. My kids love to hold all of the baby animals, I don't know of anywhere else that allows you to do that so this place is really special. Definitely make plans to go at least once every year. :)

I saw this little fella as I was walking past. He was not in the petting barn. He was in the back area. Just had to take a pic.

If you like to pick fresh berries and stone fruit straight from the source, then check out Impossible Acres Farm on the outskirts of Davis , CA, on Covell Road County 31. The 2023 u-pick season is open right now. The season opened on May 30 and runs approximately to July 30. They are open Wednesday-Sunday 8am-1pm. Don't expect them to be open or stay open on days with super hot temperatures. The u-pick section costs $3 to enter. Berries are $3.99/lb and the stone fruit is $1.75/lb. They have cherries, peaches, nectarines, plums, raspberries, and blackberries. But the cherry season just ended for them. The kind folks will point you in the right direction for the ripest and available fruit and berries so you don't have to wander aimlessly. The animal barn is also open, the entry fee for kids 1-12 years old is $6 and one accompanying adult is free. 13 years and older is $4. In October, they have a pumpkin patch. For more details, check out their instagram and website (Impossibleacrescom). The setup is simple. Nothing fancy. No carnival attractions, no picnic tables, no air conditioned shop, and no food venue. It's a working farm y'all complete with porta toilets.

My favorite place to go in October :) Staff is always so friendly and I love to see all the cute animals every year. This year they had kittens, bunnies, goats, pigs, a donkey, sheep, ducks, and chickens. Kids are $6 and adults are $4 for the animals. Such a fun fall activity I look forward to every year.

Took my 2 year here on her birthday. A sweet way to celebrate my fall baby with her brother and cousins. My little girl loves animals. It is rare to get the opportunity to get up close to the animals so they really enjoyed it. Lots if hay structures to climb on. The pumpkin patch was really pretty it had green pumpkin vines among the pumpkin which made it a really nice photo spot.

We came here upon recommendation from a coworker for their petting farm. It was $4 for our 2-year old which includes admission for one adult, and then we had to pay $6 for a second adult since our daughter was free under 1 year old. There were several animals to pet and each area has their own rules, and some have an age minimum to hold the pets. We went 30 minutes after they opened on a Saturday and it was already pretty busy and the parking lot was almost full, so I'd definitely recommend coming early! We were still able to easily get to each animal though and it was so cool for my son to get up close and not behind the gates like most places! They have hand washing stations also which made for easy cleanup afterward. It would be nice if they had maybe a food truck or some kind of drink vendor so it would make you want to hang around after. But otherwise it's a great place that isn't too overpriced and fun for the family!

Great place for kids especially up to 10 years old. Lots of hands-on. I'd recommend closed-toe shoes due to the orchard and barn debris.

My sister's family really likes pomegranate so I decided to invite her to come along. We originally planned to visit this place on Saturday, but she had something else come up for her kid's school so we ended up coming on Sunday, October 21st. I showed up around 9:30 AM, and there were a whole lot of cars already parked in their lot. My sister texted me & said she was about 45 minutes away so I decided to sit in the car & wait, since my daughter was still sleeping in the backseat. When she finally showed up around 10:30 AM, it was getting pretty hot so my daughter was not a happy camper. Not enough sleep and heat does not make a baby happy. However, we managed to collect two 5-gallon buckets in about an hour. Actually, her little family did all the work while I played photographer. Hahaha The kids had a lot of fun picking their own fruits. My sister was kind of disappointed that we showed up so late since most of the bigger fruits have already been picked. We were still able to find some decent sized ones. I got a $20 box and she got a $25 box. I ended up keeping only 4 for myself and took the rest to my brother's house to let my other siblings pick what they want from it. My sister says next year we have to come back earlier on a Saturday so we can get first pick. Sounds like a plan!

Wow!, if you love sunflowers and photo shoots, this is a quick and convenient way to visit. I was surprised, there were no reviews on this place yet. However, you might still be able to spot a few sunflowers looking bright and perky. The field is surround by a trench with water but it's easy to jump over. Lots of ppl around taking photos. Bear in mind, there are a lot of bees doing their wonderful pollination here, so beware if you are allergic to bee stings. I'm guessing June would be the best time to enjoy these whimsical sunflowers. At the end of Kidwell and Olmo Lane, there is also small patch of wild flowers in pinks and purples. Also a great place to stop and visit, for those flower lovers. I read online that Cloverleaf farm is a small part of Collin farms. Will definitely return next year, to capture these whimsical flowers at their best. Enjoy!!!

Those are all very valid reasons to love this place alone, but for me this place has a few sentimental reasons that I enjoy them and value them so much. One I remember when my children were quite young and they would stay at their grandmothers in the Bay Area for days at a time and when we did the kid exchange it was always done at the Pedricks parking lot and then the kids and I would walk into the market and they would each pick out a treat-I cherish those memories. The other thing I think about Pedrick is way back when, during the time when the Covid-Era lockdown was coming to an end,I remember the 1st day they told us we could begin going outside again, the very 1st place the wifey and I drove to was Pedricks. We jumped in the car in Natomas and beelined straight for some fresh fruit and veggies and whatever other treats we could find that day at Pedricks. It was such a joy to see them open and fully stocked that day,I might as well have been going to Disneyland,we were so happy to see people again. Fast forward to today and I find myself going here about once a month, whenever I'm either driving to or from the Bay Area usually visiting relatives. It's a great spot to pick up the freshest and tastiest fruits and veggies to bring to events. I am also a certified ChiliHead,so their vast collection of hot sauces is unmatched in the area-a true must stop spot for anyone who considers themselves a hot sauce connoisseur. Yep other things that really stand out at Pedricks is their wide variety of fresh nuts available for purchase-they truly have so many varieties and flavors at pretty decent pricing. I also really enjoy their candy selection,I truly need to use extreme discipline when I gaze upon their candy offerings as they have so much and as much of a sweet tooth as I have,I have to learn often to just say no and walk away-I'm glad it's here though. In closing,In case it's not obvious,I really truly do recommend Pedricks as it's a great market offering some of the best fruits and veggies in the area, along with so much more. Love this place.

The Flower Barn is located on a beautiful property where you can also enjoy brunch, host a wedding, or explore the garden grounds, all of which seem worth experiencing on their own. As someone who loves creative activities, this was an experience I would highly recommend. Walking into the Flower Barn felt like stepping into a magical storybook cottage. Dried flowers hung from the ceiling and lined the walls, creating an incredibly aesthetic and charming atmosphere. It is definitely a place where you will want to take photos. We were welcomed by Sandra, who was sincere, warm, and genuinely caring. She provided helpful guidance throughout the workshop and was wonderful to talk to. She would often bring over additional flowers that matched the look and feel I was going for, which made the experience feel very personal. You are able to make your bouquet as large or as small as you like, as long as it fits inside the provided metal container. The hospitality extended beyond just Sandra. The owner and Kim, the social media manager, were also very welcoming and happy to answer any questions we had. It felt like everyone there truly cared about making the experience special. At the end of the workshop, you bring your finished bouquet in the metal container to Sandra, and she carefully wraps it in paper and ties it with a ribbon. That final touch made the whole experience feel even more thoughtful and complete. Overall, I highly recommend this workshop not only for the creative joy of working with dried florals, but also for the genuine kindness and hospitality shown throughout the event. I will definitely be back to create another bouquet or try one of their other activities.

Parking here is a breeze as they have their own open lot with plenty of spaces. Walking in,it's tough not to just be instantly mesmerized by the pure beauty of the local fresh fruit available. Beautiful peaches, nectarines, cherries and berries-it all look so gorgeous. Inside was a little cramped and I went before they were named the #1 pie shop in America,I'd imagine those tight quarters are having a time handling the crowds it's getting now. My top 3 things I love about Ikedas are as follows. 1.I've always loved the availability of their yummy tamales and really tasty chicken pot pies. Both are generally available fresh or frozen if you want to enjoy these goodies at home. 2.I've always loved the massive availability of hot sauces and snacks that both locations of Ikedas have always had on hand.I always made it a point when I was coming down the hill to stop at Ikedas in Auburn for a tasty tamale-now that I realize the Davis location is so much closer,I can see being able to enjoy those tamales and pot pies so much more often. 3.Pies-enjoying a pie from Ikedas always felt like something that locals knew and they shared with us out-of-towners whenever we happened to visit one of their 2 locations. With the recent award they received naming them best pie shop in America,I imagine those days are over and the secret is out.Now everyone will know what we knew way back when and hopefully this doesn't change them,I hope they can keep the high level of quality with what I'm sure will be a huge leap in demand-I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they can. A bonus thing I love about Ikedas is their fruit freezes-they are so good,my niece hipped me to these and man are they worth the price of admission alone-they are so yummy-do yourself a favor and make sure to try one of these on your next trip to Ikedas. In closing, I'm so happy that Ikedas is finally getting the flowers they deserve with their recent award and I am proud to say I voted for them myself. If you haven't had the pleasure of visiting one of their two locations,do yourself a favor and get out there and grab some yummy fruit and a piece of pie-it's a good day spent for sure.
