Vendors are lined up on both sides creating a long straight walk with some of the area under a covered pavilion. There was a lot to see--produce, nuts, honey, meats, cheese, chocolates, baked goods, flowers, plants, arts & crafts, & more. Organizations also had booths set up on the end opposite the pavilion. Street performers added musical entertainment. It's a neat stroll & a lot of people were out browsing & purchasing. The park offers a nice setting to enjoy any eats you purchase & there are restroom facilities. Note--Signage states no animals are allowed where food is sold (except for service animals).

You can find fresh vegetables, eggs, local crawfish, chicken, meat, bread, pastries, plants, dates, flowers..you name it, and it's probably there. The vendors are always welcoming, and there's such a great sense of community. It's wonderful to see so many people coming together to support local farmers, makers, and small businesses. There are lots of pet dogs everywhere, so consider yourself warned. If you're not a dog person, this might not be your vibe. They have so many vendors, from fresh flowers, produce, and meats to local organizations, museums, live music, and, most importantly, food. I love the variety of food you can try, and there are plenty of samples throughout the market. They also have a small kiddie play area, which is a nice bonus if you're bringing little ones. Just be prepared because it gets hot, there is no seating, and people can sometimes be rude or get a little too close in the crowds. That's pretty typical anywhere with a large gathering, though. The first indication that I presumed incorrectly about this farmers market was that parking was difficult with only an hour or so left of the market. The second was the actual sight of the market itself. This market spanned about two blocks and was filled with more than just produce which was a welcome surprise to me. All of the vendors were so friendly and one guy even trash talked another peach stand that my friend had supported and got her to buy from his stand. Vibes were immaculate here and loved the variety! It was much smaller than the farmers markets I'm used to in the Sacramento area, but much larger than the 4-booth market in Yosemite Valley. The best decision I made was ordering a ham and Swiss croissant from the pastry booth. Sadly, I don't remember the name of the booth, but it was the best croissant I've ever had in my life. (I think it was West Won Bread, unless it was Patisserie Angelica Sebastopol.) A slightly less wise decision was ordering the strawberry shortcake from the cooking school. The student, who did not give off any kind of competent vibe, whispered to the order-taker, "How do I make that?" She quickly recited, "biscuit, whipped cream, lemon curd, berries." I mean, the photo really speaks for itself. There was less than like two tablespoons worth of chopped berries, and the top of the biscuit was not covered in curd. The flavor was all there, but the presentation and portion sizes were not. Then again, this was a cooking school, so maybe some mistakes are to be expected. I wouldn't have ordered from them if I wasn't willing to take the risk. Even though this is a small market, the quality of the vendors is on the supremely artisan side. Definitely worth stopping by for a bite to eat if you're in the area. (Also a great brunch option.)

There are many stands that serve produce, bread, flowers, honey, and much more. I love the flower booth that is comes to this farmers market every weekend. You can buy flowers by the bouquet (anywhere from $7-$30) or you can ask about bulk purchases. I also like that they have performers that play guitar, piano, sing, etc. This farmers market doesn't compare to the midtown farmers market, but a great farmers market if you're looking to simply buy produce and fresh items. There is plenty of parking. There are no food trucks or food stands with already made food. Also, no dogs allowed.

THAT WAS FUN! Had my…read moreone and only taste of the Napa Farmers Market, and it is thee place to be on Saturday Morning. Tons of parking, tons of vendors, tons of yummy food! Since I'm passing thru Napa, I didn't buy any "produce", as I will be on flying, and that doesn't make sense. However, I was able to taste and try many of the food vendors present. First off, OHM Coffee. As it was 83 degrees, I didn't want anything hot --- I opted for the Iced Matcha Latte. It was delicious! Nothing that made it "stand out", but I know a good Iced Matcha when I taste one --- definitely started my rounds around the market right! For breakfast, I've been craving a good breakfast burrito and found the vendor, "Earth's Bounty". It was a bit of a healthier take on the chorizo and potatoes --- they swapped it out for bacon and roasted veg. which included zucchini and sweet potatoes --- but I was pleasantly surprised! I devoured the whole thing!! The tortilla was warmed perfectly, and the melted cheese that crisped up on the grill made it EXCELLENT! To top it off, I visited a stand selling "MAUI STYLE POTATO CHIPS", helmed by the most friendly woman, named Sara. She was so awesome, and let me sample whatever I wanted. Needless to say, I purchased 3 bags of chips for $27. If bought individually, it would be $10 per bag. Such a great market to visit whenever your in Napa! 10/10!
