First time I visited this salon, and the last. Asked for a Spiral perm, was charged for a Spiral perm ($222 PLUS tip) but received a regular perm. My hair is completely over processed and has no curl! Sent the owner an email, no response. Went into the salon and spoke with the owner who told me there was nothing she could do by because the stylist is not an employee but is an independent contractor. And how would I have known that and why is that MY fault?? So essentially the owner blew me off and CHOSE not to be responsible for what was done in HER salon. The stylist called me when she returned to work FOUR days later and asked me to come in that Friday, so I did, she wasn't there, even though that's when she told me to come. Went back in for a 3rd time the next day and spoke with the stylist who agreed there was no curl and offered a condition treatment (which won't give it curl) then wanted to cut my hair! She already cut my hair after the perm was completed, I didn't want more cut off nor should I have to have more cut off. She made up every excuse in the book as to why there was no curl, including a few lies. She blamed the length of my hair (she saw my hair before she even started the perm) as well as my body chemistry,, what she DIDN'T do was actually accept responsibility for the fact that she didn't give me the type of perm I paid for and the perm she did give me absolutely did not work. When I confronted her and said she did not give me the 'Spiral' perm I asked for and was charged for she told me she did wrap it as a spiral. When I told her the way she ACTUALLY wrapped it (which was the regular way) she then changed to,, "Well I alternated" I didn't ask her to alternate, and I certainly was charged for a full spiral. I know my hair which is why I specifically asked for a Spiral wrap not for her to alternate,, which she didn't alternate, she simply wrapped it like a regular perm. I know she did because she even showed the trainee at the salon exactly how she was wrapping it because she wanted her to help,, because she was in a rush the entire time I was there. She then told me she was unable to refund any of my money because she is just an employee there and it is the owner's decision to refund or not. So I called her out on that as well and told her the owner specifically told me she was NOT an employee but an independent contractor, she at that point didn't know what to say other than to stumble over her words and try to tell me that yes, she is an employee,, which again, wasn't true. She continued to refuse to refund me anything then told me she was "trying to help me" by offering to cut off my hair essentially on the house like she was doing me a favor. Please feel free to look at the pictures and judge for yourself if there is any curl at all. I waited 3 days before I washed it and these pictures are from 3 days after the perm. Before I took the pictures I washed/lightly conditioned it, used a good quality mousse and scrunched it dry with my defuser and I STILL didn't get any curl. I will absolutely never return to this salon as they don't take any responsibility for their mistakes, they simply pass the responsibility off on other people and tell lies right to your face. I paid a total of $269 for this completely over processed hair that I can't even get a wide tooth comb through because of all of the knots the perm has caused. read more

Love! Love! Love! I can not say enough good things about this salon.... stylists are so professional, the salon is clean and offers a very soothing atmosphere. I have dark brown hair with a lot of red pigmentation and I have it highlighted blonde. I cannot even begin to tell you how many stylists have destroyed my hair! I went to Impressions after having used about every other salon in cecil county and I only wish I had found Charlene ten years ago! She is THE BEST! I love my hair and so does everyone else...I receive numerous compliments everyday!!!! I"m not sure what Jill S. did but touching your foils while they are on your head is a definite no no! I have to say if you want to relax and get your hair done this is the place. First off I love Gina she does an awesome job. Kudo's to the owner for bringing her on board. You get refreshments, massage and even heat on my back when I got my eyebrows done. I love to laugh and relax and this was just what I needed today. Thanks guys for a great afternoon. read more
