It took a lot of research and thinking before I decided to go through with it. I met a girl whose curly hair similar to mine and gone blonde and she recommended Meagan. I reached out to her and sent her pictures of the look I was going for beforehand and she explained the process she would follow. I decided to make the the appointment and am glad that I did. She was punctual for the appointment. The products that she used were gentle on my hair although the color was being lifted. She straightened my hair which also makes me nervous sometimes because some stylists go to heavy on the heat and damage my curl pattern. It's been over a month now and I can say that my curls bounced back nicely, I'm in love with the color, have gotten lots or compliments, and have not noticed any damage to my hair. I planned on going to get a pedicure but honestly didn't realize that this nail salon was in the shopping center near by until I decided to take a walk. I called before I went in since it was early Saturday afternoon and usually shops are very busy. Considering the service that I received I am surprised it was not busy. I know that there are numerous salons in the area that have the "fancy" atmosphere at similar if not more expensive prices, I prefer a more local and personal experience compared to the appearance of such. The shop was clean, my nail technician he was extremely nice on the phone and also while completing my service (I love pleasant energy that makes me smile/ laugh and he certainly did that). I felt like I had the attention and time spent to provide me with great spa pedicure; at many of the other salons depending on the number of clients it can determine how much time and care is given to you. I appreciated the reminder that I was there to relax while getting some self care and honestly that was also what the atmosphere was giving. I don't live too far in the Pike Creek area and I think this may be my new go to spot. I would certainly recommend trying! I appreciated Cielo's flexibility with getting me into the schedule, the receptionist even moved some things around to make it possible. Great customer service there. Unfortunately the rest of the experience wasn't as good. I didn't see anywhere on the website that there wasn't a parking lot, and unfortunately the garage near the spa was closed for no apparent reason so finding parking was difficult. I had to ring the doorbell to get into the spa and someone came to let me in, didn't say hi and just asked me if I had an appointment before they'd let me in. The interior of the reception area was very visibly worn and outdated. It reminded me of the decor of a high end spa from the late 90s or early 00s. They had a sign on the wall saying that the spa had won Best of Delaware in 2004 which is when I think it was likely last updated. I'm not quite sure why but I had to wait about 20 minutes to get started on my services, I mostly just stood at the reception desk awkwardly as she typed away for over 15 minutes. I finally asked if she needed more time and I should sit. At that point she said we could get started. I will say this - the massage was fantastic. That, plus the schedule flexibility, is why this is a 3 star review and not 1 or 2. Again, the ambiance wasn't great - the spa area was also very old and outdated and frankly looked like it needed a good scrub down. There were coffee drips on the wall near my pedicure chair that grossed me out, some towels that looked less than fresh in the nail area and other random bits of grime throughout. Prior to the massage she brought me into a dressing room to put on a robe. I was disappointed to see they didn't have above an XL and only one XL available. Although the XL was comfortable for me I felt like it would've been awkward if I needed a bigger size or if someone had already been using the XL. I know they only had one because l was the only spa customer for the entire 4 hours. It was a bit too quiet and creepy being in the spa area alone to be honest. My pedicure and manicure were both ok but not great. I was really disappointed with the polish choices especially. There were only about 10 gel options and they had zero matching sets for gel/non-gel which is really standard at spas now. I ended up finding two that were similar. The person who did my services was nice enough but not friendly or warm. That combined with the general worn out/outdated/somewhat grimy ambiance kind of ruined the vibe for me a bit. I didn't get that same super relaxing, warm feeling I'm looking for at a spa. I will say the prices are decent. Overall I don't think I'd return given the ambiance of the spa but if you don't care about that, this might be a good place for a massage!

It took her every bit of 5 minutes to Complete the manicuring of my toes. when I told her she did not touch my heels in the bottom of my foot. She said she did when I know if you touched them. She should not have argued with me. She just should have did the service that I requested which was a pedicure which is what I did not get. Went to purchase an individual product from the kit. It cost $111.00. Went to buy same individual product the price was jacked up to $130.00. I WAS DONE. Price gauging at my expense. So I stopped going . No follow up or wellness check/call. Andrea out of the blue sends me a promotional text about her services. I didn't respond. Then she sends me another text addressing me properly by name asking me how I am which was the text she should of sent me first. We have to do better by customers who allow themselves to be vulnerable and come to you for help. ESPECIALLY if they are spending thousands of dollars for services. #dobetter!
