    Picking up the food

I catered lunch for my team from here for our meeting at Industrial Bank's new corporate offices in Largo. Steven Wilson, owner and team did their thing. Everyone is super pleased. I ate from his other location once when he was at the Largo store. Much larger sit-down location now. This brutha seasons TF outta his food - that's why I selected him. Most of my colleagues friends here ain't used to no seasoned food lol. Watching them gorge on Henny wings and GOOD mac/cheese, green beans/turkey is funny. 20 peeps came through plus a few bank personnel. And we STILL had leftovers.

Went to visit In a Minute Cafe on Friday. I got the following for myself and my family: Fish sandwich with fries and hush puppies Crab egg rolls X2 Hennessy wings with Mac n cheese and green beans Spring rolls My dad loves the dish as he did say that it had the right amount of crisp and batter (IYKYK) and the chipotle mayo was spicy so if you don't like hot condiments then the chipotle mayo isn't for you. Fries, nice and hot. I don't particularly partake in hush puppies but I did eat these and they were delicious. The crab cake egg rolls (chef kiss) I can only speak for the ones I received, they were filled with crab and the sauces that he provided were not necessary in my opinion but I did like them mixed and dipped (don't fight me, we got different taste buds) My mom got the Hennessy wing platter (6-wings) and she said it was so much food that she couldn't eat it all but she did enjoy the wings. Mac n cheese and green beans (although she was looking forward to the collard greens) were her sides. She said everything was tasty. The spring rolls (3 or 4) were nice and crisp and the veggies were seasoned perfectly. Chef Steve was taking orders and customer service was on point. The wait for the food to be prepared was not long at all. The decor was really cute and immaculate. If you ever in the area, stop and tell Chef Steve you saw my review and it bought you in for a taste.

I came here for an event and wanted to share my experience. The owner, Steven was a delight. He was super up beat and pleasant and full of jokes. You can tell that he had a passion for cooking, and giving back to the community. This was hard to find at first. I drove past it twice because it's in a nook right between Shoppers and Boost Mobile. It's an event venue for up to 50 people. So far he's had baby showers, sip n paints, women's empowerment events etc. They are closed on Sunday's. I really like this place. It's nostalgic as they do a lot for the community; kids can do their homework there after school and grab a free bite to eat, they do haircuts for the men's shelter, and provide donations/services for Shepherds Cove. The food was simple but tasty. Light bites, charcuterie, veggies, meatballs, fish, cookies etc. We had tea and lemonade for drinks. They are known for their Hennessy wings and crab egg rolls. We didn't get to taste them but I'll be back to try them. Parking is lot parking since it is in a shopping center so that's super easy. I didn't get to see the bathroom but I believe it was in the back of the venue. Definitely a good place to consider for your next local venue. If nothing else, his personality and mission are worth the business. As they say on Shark Tank, sometimes you have to invest in the person! I'll be back, thanks for having us.

First time visit but it will not be the last. Great hidden (for now) location but easy to find (if that makes sense). The orders were delicious and prepared quickly. It was nice to sit down and enjoy our meals with nice music.

Was craving some wings for lunch and found this spot. Spoke with the owner and found out he was voted top five wing spot in the DMV..... I can see why! A clean and laid back takeout spot, that offers a variety of food. He has a pineapple and mango flavor that is delicious. Lemon pepper and Hennessey wings are on point! Salmon sandwich was delicious also.

Overall a good experience here. I'm glad the new location is in an active shopping center with ample parking. The old location in Capital Heights was so secluded and I was excited when I found out the business was relocating to Largo, MD. The food quality here is consistently good and what I love is it is "clean" food. Meaning, it is prepared in a way similar to how I would prepare food items at home in that the food isn't greasy, no seasoning imbalance, and the food is fresh. The food tastes like homemade food which is a good thing. My only disappointment with this restaurant is their management of the online ordering system is poor. On multiple occasions I ordered online only to arrive at the restaurant and the owner himself wasn't even aware that an order had been placed. What this meant is I often waited at home after ordering, giving the restaurant time to prepare the order, only to arrive at the restaurant and having to wait even longer for the food to be prepared once the owner realized that an online order had been placed. I hope this issue is mitigated soon (if not already) because it is a big turnoff in a time when online ordering (whether through the business or third party application) is a standard customer convenience and a seemingly stress-free means for the business to take customer orders with no need for human interaction. Give them a try and I think you will enjoy this place.

I've been waiting a good MINUTE (a while) to get at this spot!! They closed, then reopened, & I finally made my way to them. They have soul food with a slight twist, so, let's get to it!! . Where I am: @inaminutecafe . Location Reviewed: 816 Largo Center Dr., Upper Marlboro M.D. . Menu Includes: Crab Cake BLT, & Plate, Bourbon Grilled Salmon Sandwich & Plate, Hennessy Wings, Mac n Cheese, Green Beans, Collard Greens, Rice, Crab Mac, Crab Egg Rolls, Fried Chicken Sandwich, Old Bay Cheese Fries, Dessert's, & Bottled Beverages. . Items Reviewed: Their Hennessy BBQ Wings Plate (with Mac n cheese, & collard greens $16). Wings...LIKE THAT!! They could've been bigger, but they were sweet, savory, & tasty!! Mac n Cheese...DELICIOUS!! Thick, creamy, & cheesy!! Good! Collard Greens...DECENT. Edible, but a tad bit too salty. Their Bourbon Grilled Salmon Sandwich (with lettuce, tomato, bacon, fries & a seafood sauce $20). STAMP!! Well seasoned salmon, with a tangy Old Bay hinted sauce, & saltiness of the bacon!! The fries were DELICIOUS...while hot. Their Crab Eggrolls (with seafood sauce $15). STAMP!! Crisp, meaty, & fulfilling!! Their Fried Chicken Sandwich (with lettuce, tomato, pickles, fries, & sauce $10). DELICIOUS!! The Chicken was crispy, & juicy, while the rest of the sandwich was dry. Their Strawberry Cheesecake ($7). LIKE THAT!! This caught me off guard...sweet, creamy, scrumptious!! . Customer Service: On Point!! . Online Navigation: There but not detailed. . Parking: Plentiful Lot Parking . Recommendations: The Salmon & Crab Eggrolls. =STAMP =LIKE THAT =DELICIOUS =DECENT =PASS =NAH #Bigschlimsreviews

The service was not slow but they did seem overwhelmed so we were patient. Again it wasn't slow but we made sure to be ready when the server came to up. I will absolutely come back for a regular dinner.

We placed our entree orders after 25min of being seated. While waiting for about 40min, a severe storm started to form. At this point, we were ready to leave due to the long food wait but decided to get our food to go. Stood at the bar area for an additional 20min for our food. My crab cake platter was missing the side rice. So had to wait additional 10min for that. Mind you this was karaoke night (2nd & 4th Thursdays) about 3 ppl performed. I think the staff was overwhelmed due to the busy crowd. But to wait over an hour for food and STILL had to get it to go is crazy. And on top of that, menu states if you order ahead they charge 15% fee. Ppl probably prefer to take out because service and wait. Please do better because we don't have many local options in upper Marlboro. Updated: Once I got home, I noticed there was no salad dressing for my side salad and no sauce for my crab cake as requested. I was there few weeks ago sat outside and could've gave it 4 stars that day. Different waiter as well.

After I raised my concerns with the manager--who was another Black woman and tried to address the issue--Issac falsely claimed that I had cursed at him, which was untrue. As a Black woman, I felt that Issac was empowered to shut me down and dismiss my presence, perpetuating a pattern where Black women are not supported or acknowledged. Despite the manager's efforts, the lack of accountability and the discriminatory treatment I experienced made me feel unwelcome. I will not be returning to this establishment. For a foodie this is perfect! Oooh were we wrong. Plans failed! This restaurant is part of Oak Creek golf course in a residential area, super convenient if you're a resident! Now, for guest, parking is ample if there is no event going on. The venue is pretty and well kept. Restrooms very tidy. The staff are so sweet but the logic behind management is off. You'd think if an event was happening you'd plan for folks to come early to eat dinner. A perfect opportunity that was missed by the choice to close early only to reopen. Odd. Having an event here was pretty unorganized. They had a coffee table that I don't believe was part of the venue possibly a vendor. Most definitely would come try to dine in if I was back in the area. Let's get into it! Firecracker Shrimp - OMG good! Wings - Delicious Nachos - Delicious Coffee - Just okay.

This restaurant was very new, having opened less than a month before our visit, and it was packed with people on a Monday morning. One thing that immediately stood out was the atmosphere. The restaurant had a fresh, modern feel, and the space was noticeably larger than most First Watch locations we've visited. It felt open, bright, and welcoming despite how busy it was. Everyone we encountered was friendly and welcoming. We waited about 25 minutes to be seated, and our food took a little longer than usual to arrive, but given the crowd, that was understandable. As always, First Watch delivered a great experience. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. My husband and I had a good laugh when she asked if we wanted separate checks at the end of our meal. LOL The food arrived hot, fresh, and well-seasoned, just as we've come to expect from First Watch.
