Greasy and delicious. Love it. Got a regular and a beef & cheez. Love the powdered cheese and fried shells.

The employees are always nice. Never really had a bad encounter with them. Inside it's usually clean but I have to say it feels more like eating in a middle school cafeteria somehow. I think it's just how close the tables feel. Usually kind of dimly lit. I always order the meat and cheese tacos and a burrito with everything with mild sauce. They are absolutely the best in my opinion. In a Tub over Taco Bell any day. Just wish it didn't cost $40+ to feed everyone in my house.

I have been a customer since I was a child. I am now 61 years of age and I sill love this place. Delicious tacos and poppers!

    BLACK MOLD

I don't think I've ever written a review before but I'm just genuinely disgusted today and wish so badly that I would have paid more attention. I got a mello yellow today and after I got home I opened the cup and saw a big chunk of black mold and now I want to throw up. It was even bigger floating around before I pulled it up the side of the cup. Once I pulled it up it kind of turned into a little blob.

What can one say that has not already? The service is terrific. The employees are outgoing and friendly. The food is old school awesome. Tacos are a must. In A Tub is spectacular place.

Not only was the taco and pocket burger SO good, but the kindness and ease of ordering was great! The workers are so friendly and the food is mouth-watering. Definitely made me want to come back and try the whole menu! Keep up the amazing work here!

Deep Fried Taco and the Pocket burger were both delicious! Food came out very fast! The taco had a powder cheese on top and it was very tasty. The pocket burger was definitely different but delicious, the meat had a different texture and was on a very soft warm bun. We got a regular and a nacho one. I like the nacho one the best! The restaurant itself was your average fast food restaurant but very friendly service.

Yaaasssssss. Now this is fast food done right, in my opinion. I came for their famed Kansas City styled tacos. Don't know what those are? They're sold here. They're just not called that. In the 50s and 60s, Italian and Mexican immigrants working side by side altered the taco by deep fat frying it and dusting it with what passed for parmesan cheese in the city at the time. Usually beef, sometimes chicken, it's a blast from the Kansas City past found (and enjoyed I might add) at places like Margarita's, Ponak's, P.R.'s Place and La Fonda El Taquito and, drum roll, In A Tub and a few others. I've been on a quest for awhile to try all of these places and In a Tub is the latest. With the long burgeoning street taco scene in the city, Kansas City style tacos have become out of favor, but I think it has a place, and when done right, they're sublime. I hope they never go away! Ordered two beef with cheese and one without. What a plate of heavenly fast food that's sure to please! The cheese on the outside here is a dusting of yellow/orange substance that, well, lets just call it a food product. Do we really care? What it is I have no idea. They're heavenly, and a blast from the past. And these fit in perfectly with In A Tub's personality, what with their stuffed burgers, retro grade fast food and tongue in cheek humor (napkins noted as "Powdered Cheese Removal Device"). Love it. Yea, I need to get here more often. And do yourself a favor. Read the article on eater.com titled "The Demand for 'Authenticity' Is Threatening Kansas City's Homegrown Tacos." It's great, and a bit of history every self-respecting Kansas Citian should be hip to. I'd come back here in a heartbeat for some more of these bad boy tacos. Simply delicious. Thank you, In A Tub, for continuing a Kansas City tradition not many know. I hope there's always a spot here for these.

In a tub never seems to fail!!!!!! The best taco salad, and corn nuggets. Powder cheese can't go wrong the more the better. The inside looks new and remodeled and clean, it looks great.

The meat didn't have any flavor and the cheese was melted instead of powdered cheese. Very disappointing and probably will not go back.

Service has always been friendly and professional and I've never experienced a problem. The bread is unique. It's a Dutch crunch so it has a nice crunchy texture on top but the bread itself has a nice chew and holds up to whatever toppings you like. I personally favor the Crown Town club. It's a classic club sandwich-turkey, ham, bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, and a chipotle mayo. I like to also add smoked Gouda because cheese improves everything imho. They also offer vegetarian options, hot sandwiches, chips, and cookies. I've honestly loved everything I've eaten from them over the years so you really can't go wrong. If you're at The Commons or even Cinder Block next door, definitely stop by and get something to eat. Highly recommend!

The options this place offers is appetizing. I really wanted 3 different sandwiches and finally settled on the Wagyu Nebraskan. The Dutch crunch bread is amazing! Now, this kind of bread is not for those with sensitive palates, meaning you might find it difficult to eat the crunchy top of the bread. You know, like when you eat dry crunchy cereal. But if you can take smaller bites, it's not as difficult to eat and it's so tasty! I'm a big fan. The meat was plentiful, the cheese was good, and the sauce was delicious. I enjoyed the sauerkraut as well. The sandwich just works really well together. I got a churro cookie and wow, that thing was amazing. I enjoyed every single bite and crumb of that big chewy delicious cookie. I need more cookie. And more sandwich. This place is yummy. And the location is just FUN!
