Stopped in here over the weekend, and I was not disappointed. Right on Highway 83. Burgers, sandwiches, soups, appetizers, full bar, games, and all the sports you can handle on TV. We were here a month ago and I forgot to give my review I know... how rude is that ? Not only was the bartender friendly she was knowledgeable about the town. You see Genesee Depot is home to 10 Chimneys,the National Historic Landmark estate of 20th century Broadway legends Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne. Many Hollywood stars partied at their estate. We wanted to hike there and we were told we could. We were not disappointed it was a gorgeous hike. Such spectacular views along the way! My wife and I stopped here during a motorcycle ride through the area yesterday. There were a few other couples there at the bar too. It was definitely NOT crowded though. We sat down at the bar. Several minutes later the bartender walked right past us to chum it up with the couples next to us. He never even acknowledged us and didn't pursue the conversation with our neighbors to serve them anything--just socializing. We sat there several minutes before I finally got frustrated to the point where I had to interrupt his conversation with the others and request a beer. Then he asked us what we wanted but never apologized or acknowledged that he had skipped right past us. What a jerk. We drank one beer and left--went to the cafe next door instead and spent our money. I like riding through this area but will never again stop here. read more

When we walked in it felt like we were in the twilight zone. People all turned and stared! No one said hello, or how are ya! We sat down in a booth and waited 1/2 hour to find out that they started serving at 5:00. We're here earlier because we have a football game to get to. Had to go up to the bar to get a drink! I see a lot of older reviews, so I am hoping this one will help tip the scales toward the positive (4-star average). My husband and I made In Cahoots our first stop on our Memorial Day motorcycle ride. I am really glad we stopped, because it was a gem. The bartender was soft spoken, but polite. She was quick to get our drink orders of one mild and one spicy Bloody Mary. Mine was perfectly spiced as I like it. I like the kick after the sip. She obliged. Then, we saw that Monday is their Mexican day. We just ordered the homemade chips and salsa, and I was pleasantly surprised by what was brought out. Hot from the fryer were tortilla triangles that had been deep fried and salted. They were awesome! I seriously only docked them for the Pace salsa they served with them, because I thought it did a serious disservice. Imagine if In Cahoots made their own salsa each morning or even just on Mondays for the Mexican specials. Take note: you could become the go-to spot for both homemade chips AND salsa, and you would certainly have a faithful regular in a girl from Wauwatosa. In Cahoots is a good biker bar stop if you're out in the Genesee Depot area. Drinks are standard, food is ok, though I heard they have really good wings, and the atmosphere is rugged. The BLT had crisp thin bacon which was just enough for a traditional sandwich. The bar does have history, as one of the frequented places by the famous passed resident Alfred Lunt, whom you can learn about at Ten Chimneys. The town is very quaint and worth a tour of In Cahoots and the surrounding restaurants, bakery, and shopping. read more

Tuesdays and Thursdays are their "wing" days. At $0.30/each it's a pretty sweet deal. Last time I was there they were a little on the dry side (probably an older batch just refried), but it was for lunch. They have about 6-8 flavors which cover your typical bases. I don't do the firery kind, but my friend did say they had some bite. Not the melt your face kind, but edible. In addition to the wings, I would highly recommend the chive fries. They come with a dipping sauce that compliments them well. The staff is friendly and very down to earth. You kind of have to when you work in a town that you can drive through on one breath of air. I'm really only partial to this place because it's where my husband and I "met" (we met at work but exchanged numbers at a group outing here). The food isn't bad - we typically have gotten wings and fries, nothing wrong with them. My husband used to go regularly on Thurs for wings and he and his friends have slowly gone elsewhere.. the wings have gotten small and the service has gone downhill as well. There used to be 2 really good bartenders (Jess and... a guy) and after they left, the service was rough. I feel the bartenders cater to certain customers more than others. You can stand there with an empty cup for 4 minutes, then when a "regular" comes up afterwards, they will help them before you. (note - if you are a regular and see this happen, do the polite thing and say "they were here first"!). I still go back, again, more-so for the memories, but there are better places in the area. read more

We went to In Cahoots for a wings on Thursday night. The special is $.40 wings and are pretty good size better the Buffalo Wild Wings. There are about 6 different sauces. I ordered the spicy bbq and the teriyaki. The teriyaki was not salty as some sauces usually are. I would also order the onion rings. Wings are great! One of the bartenders (a bigger lady) gets kind of nasty and very rude. She seemed to be drinking behind the bar. Drinks aren't priced too great either. Needless to say I only come for the wings. They keep upping the wing prices so I'm going less frequently. You need better service to increase the prices! read more

Not impressed at all. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. Took my sister and her mother in law because I've passed the place for years and it looked welcoming. Anything but welcoming...walked in the door and place was empty (7pm on a Saturday) except for some people playing pool. Bartender didn't even acknowledge that we entered the place. Then he was rude throughout our stay and again didn't acknowledge us when we tried to say bye as we were leaving. Food wasn't good either. Got a couple of appetizers that tasted like they'd been frozen then quickly cooked in the microwave. Fries tasted fishy like they'd been fried in old oil. Really disappointed with the food, atmosphere and staff. Too bad too because I'd rather support the locally owned restaurants and bars than go to the chains in our area, but visits like this make me think twice. read more
