Stopped in since I had the Lake Country City Tin and they have a kids menu, which is a must nowadays. They were fairly busy for a Saturday night and all of the low tables were being used, which wasn't ideal as we needed either a high chair or keep baby in her car seat. Outdoor seating is more to lounge than dine, so we went with a high top and made do with the car seat. The menu is exactly what you'd expect from a bar and grill, with pizza, wings, burgers and apps. I tried the whiskey bbq burger, which had crispy bacon and a nice tang to the sauce. For drinks we got the Orange Whip and Purple Haze, both had good flavor to them. Our server was fast and friendly and we got everything at a good pace.

Wanted to check out a new-to-us local resultant. We split cheese curds that were really good and the ranch was sooo good! I had the BLT steak Caesar wrap but substituted avocado for the lettuce. It was really good and the steak was delicious! Service was great as well, our server was appropriately attentive! Great place for families or to go watch a game! Looking forward to coming back over summer too as they look to have a big outdoor space!

Quality: **** Value: ***** Service: ***** Atmosphere: **** 4.5 stars really. Sideliners is your typical neighborhood "Pub and Grill" that does things really well and knows who they are and sticks to what they do best which is pub and grill foods with a full bar and a good variety of beers. Sports minded with TV's all over yet it isn't loud so you can actually sit and talk if you choose to. A smaller place so it does get busy. They did expand and has an additional room that doubles their capacity but that isn't always open. That additional room can be rented as well for banquet. I've been here for an occasional lunch and dinner. Tuesday is build your burger day/night ($5 with certain items additional), and Wednesday is Wing's day/night. I've also had their pizza and it is very good, thinner style and good sauce. They do have outdoor seating during the warmer months which is a plus. Service is always good. Friendly staff, accommodating, and our most recent visit, there was going to be a wait for a table (Tuesday night) and we were greeted immediately, put our name in and we were offered a drink. I didn't have to go to the bar! Little things like that make the entire experience so enjoyable. After we were served, she came by several times to check but wasn't intrusive. In summary, I will be back. Probably not as often as I would like but I love the place.

Service is always great, but the food is mediocre at best. For a $14 Chicken Cesar salad I would expect more than this sad bowl of lettuce and half of chicken breast. I could get better quality of some of their menu items at a fast food restaurant.

The food tasted wonderful as should your normal Friday fish fry with coleslaw (which was good for me but my fiancé found it to spicy but that's just her), tater tots, mozzarella wontons, served with an old fashioned, clam chowder. Giving 4/5 only cause my tater tots were not hot but still tasted delicious. Customer service was on point and seated at the bar very quickly for it being a busy Friday night. Atmosphere was welcoming and pub/ grill feeling.

I started thinking about places nearby, and Sports Page came to mind. I hadn't been there since around 2024, but I remembered how good their wings were. It was only about 20 minutes away, so I figured it was time to go back. Now I just needed someone to go with me. I call my cousin. He tends to be busy, so I didn't know what answer I was going to get. He tells me he has a meeting but will let me know. Most of my other cousins were working, so I called the one cousin I knew was almost always down. Sure enough, he was in. Then, to my surprise, my other cousin texted saying his meeting fell through. Just like that, what started as me trying to find someone to grab wings with turned into lunch with both of them. We get to Sports Page, and obviously I'm getting the wings. My cousins considered them, but one went with the chicken sandwich and the other got the Southwest burger. They both enjoyed what they ordered. When the wings came out, they looked exactly how I remembered them. Medium sized, completely covered in buffalo sauce, and looking fresh out of the kitchen. From the first bite, you get that crisp exterior before getting to the juicy and tender chicken underneath. Even with the sauce covering them, that texture held up from the first wing to the last. The buffalo sauce is really what separates these wings for me. Sports Page only has one wing flavor, and when you make buffalo this well, I understand why. It's rich, buttery, and savory with just the right amount of spice. Some places go too heavy on the butter, and it takes away from what buffalo is supposed to taste like. Others lean too heavily into the vinegar and acidity. Sports Page finds that perfect spot in the middle. The richness and spice complement each other without overpowering the wing. Now, I know I love wings. I go out of my way to try some of the best wing places I can find, so you might think I'm biased. Luckily, I had two people sitting across from me who helped prove my point. Neither cousin ordered wings, but as I was enjoying mine, both reached across the table and grabbed one. I didn't tell them to try one or try to convince them. They just helped themselves. Then they came back for more. What makes this even better is that one of these cousins is basically a wing hater. Not because he dislikes wings, but because he knows how much I love them and thinks I hype them up too much. He's been with me to some of the other top wing places I've tried, so he's heard me talk about wings plenty. That's why watching him reach across the table again and again might have been the best review Sports Page could've gotten from him. He didn't need to tell me they were good. Coming back three times said enough. I ordered 20 wings and somehow only ended up eating around 13. I eventually told both of my cousins they should've just ordered the wings themselves. By the end, they agreed the wings were better than what they had chosen. To me, that's when you know you're not just dealing with good wings. You're dealing with good food. The service was good too. Our waiter was very nice and stayed on top of things. The wings took around 15 to 20 minutes to come out, which I don't mind when they taste fresh and cooked to order. While looking through the menu, I noticed Sports Page says they've won Wing Fest in Chicago. After having these wings again, I believe it. The more of the best wings in Illinois I try, the harder it becomes for a place to stand out. Sports Page still manages to do it. I hadn't been there since around 2024, and the wings tasted just like I remembered, maybe even better. Everything works together, but that buffalo sauce is what pushes them to another level. These wings can compete with some of the best I've had in Illinois and around the country. I waited about two years to come back. After this visit, I don't think I'll be waiting another two. Wings: 9.115/10

Server took our orders and the food came quickly. My wife's Rueben was very good and the Cole slaw was creamy and fresh. I ordered the Tuesday special of boneless wings 69 cents each. Six of each, sweet tai sauce and dry rub bbq. I ordered a side of cole slaw also. I thought I'd be pretty full with a dozen wings but when they came they were the size of the small premade meatballs you'd buy in the grocery store. The tai were just ok, but the dry rub tasted like they were rolled in pure salt. I love salt; but these were terrible. I ate one and thought maybe it was just that one, but the 2nd was just as bad. My wife had one and completely agreed. The server came by and asked how everything was, so I told her and she laughed and said they get that a lot, but didn't offer to replace them. I was hungry, so I rolled the last 3 in blue cheese which barely covered the salt. Another server came by to take our plates and asked how everything was. I told her about the wings and she asked me how many I had and walked to the kitchen. When the bill came there had been no adjustment. Based on my wife's meal it would probably be a 4 star review. Based on the small salty wing balls and disregard of the staff, I wouldn't go back.

The bar was busy and full of customers, but there were still plenty of tables available. It took a little while for the bartender/server to get to us because of the crowd at the bar, but it was well worth the wait. The food came out quickly and was piping hot. The fries and tater tots were cooked to perfection: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and some of the best we've ever had! A nice personal touch was that the chef came out to check on us and make sure everything was good. The restrooms were also clean and well stocked, which is always appreciated. They were great and paired well with both the marinara and ranch sauces we ordered. The burgers we also ordered on point. With the option of pink or no pink, the burgers were chargrilled to order and as I mentioned above, substantial. Our bartender was great and checked in on us regularly.
