Bri was with us when I went into labor at home and because of a Florida law after waters breaking if you have a home birth and 12 hours have passed you have to relocate to the hospital to give birth. Bri was so kind enough to come with us to the hospital and stayed for the whole process including my unexpected and unplanned c-section. Not only was she knowledgeable with any questions we had in the hospital but she also gave us a sense of calm and care that we so needed during that stressful time. Bri even suited up and supported us in the operating room during the surgery. Bri even stopped by our house before we got home to drop off the placenta. Bri came to our home for a follow-up visit a few weeks after our Jack was born to answer any questions or concerns we had and to see how we were all doing. We are so lucky to have had Bri on her side and appreciate her so very much! Marie came to our home for the childbirth education course. She pulled up her slides on her computer and we connected it to our television. It was incredibly helpful to learn both home and hospital birth situations as I mentioned above we had to relocate to the hospital and make some very tough decisions. This was a two-part course so Marie came to our home on two separate occasions. Marie was also there to answer any questions we had about the birth and when baby arrived and how to care for him. If you're looking for a doula team you must choose One Love Doula. They won't disappoint. I contacted Labor of Love, after my wife was given a full Authorization from the Bay Pines VA for…read moreall Prenatal and Birth Expenses paid, 100%, no copay etc. The VA does not provide OB/Prenatal care and leave it up to the patient to locate a provider they would like to work with. We had gone through USF IVF for IUI procedures and they were paid fully with no issue. We also had visited Bayfront Baby Place and an OB there, but were leaning toward home/natural birth instead. Our Auth included specific billing codes which were preapproved, so all that needed to be done was bill under these codes for care. I was contacted back by Judy and she immediately told us that it would be self-pay only, and they do not work with VA authorizations. I was a bit upset because of course this was new ground for both the VA, and Labor of Love, but I was requesting that we set up a time to come in, see the center, and if it seemed a good fit, we could have billing look over our Authorization/paperwork and see if the billing would work out, as it did with USF. We were not given the courtesy of a response. We were not responded to after a follow up email either. I am very sad to say that despite a glowing recommendation, and our efforts to work with Labor of Love, they are not interested. Not sure if that is because we are a lesbian couple, or because of our billing situation ... we will never know because we were not contacted further to discuss our options.

She is also known as Sizzly Buchanan and has many negative reviews including million dollar lawsuit.

This was our first pregnancy after a 36 week pregnancy loss, so we were anxious to say the least. Having Dee as a resource bounce questions off of, knowing we would get an honest response based on her year of practice and knowledge, was very comforting, and lowered our anxiety during pregnancy and the birth, quite a bit. As the doctors and nurses recommended various interventions, we were able to ask her opinion on them and never felt pressured to do what she suggested. She was fantastic also at following up, ensuring we were taken care of to the best of her ability.
