I highly recommend Troy for your personal training and here's why. I'm a cancer survivor twice who also suffers from chronic RA pain. I was in great pain inside out and frail like a twig after my surgery. Yet, I'm the type who would rather bury herself in the library or in the garden than step into the gym. Well, my sister insisted that I see Troy during the COVID lockdown and I grudgingly complied. We have the training on Zoom. Troy articulates very well and explains clearly; this is very important, especially when it's done on Zoom. He would provide alternatives when I couldn't do certain move due to pain. He is also very observant to correct any wrong move. With his help, I became stronger each day; I was even able to cook the Thanksgiving meal this year for my family, which I haven't been able to do for a few years now. My family was happy. Troy is very friendly, encouraging, patient, and knowledgeable. If he doesn't know, he'd tell you. He would research it himself and enrich my knowledge of my own ailment. I approached Troy one day when my shoulders felt so sore and tight after overexertion that I could hardly walk let alone lift my arms. Troy immediately got to work and I was feeling completely better by the end of the session. He knew the right questions to ask in order to pinpoint the source of my shoulder pain and applied the perfect therapy for my specific issue. He also taught me exercises and movements that I can do at home to help prevent and deal with future shoulder issues. Where do I even begin to start with Troy's physical therapist abilities??! The man is the man and the nicest guy ever. I had kidney failure and spelt 10 days in the icu and my legs were shot!!! I didn't have insurance and I simply google at home physical therapist and a long list of names popped up. I called each one by one and no answer. Some wanted $250 for an hour of their time. I realized I was doing this at 7AM. I called Troy and he picked up. Not some answering service. I explained my situation and he said he could be there at 9. I live in a two story building on the top floor with no elevator and I'd been outta the icu for 4 days now. I saw Troy a total of 4 times and I could tell he was rooting for me like personally for me. We up and down the stairs once. Did some leg lifts. Did some squats. He pushed me but in a kind way and never overdid and never made me uncomfortable. Each time within the 3 other times I doubled what I was doing. For example I did the stairs 3 times the next time to the fourth visit doing them 8 or 9 times and I felt great. His squat exercises were great too and I went from doing them 3 times to 12 times. He was just a spirited and all around good guy. I highly recommend him for whatever you need help with with your body. He has the perfect level of push. Not too hard not too soft and I'd really like to grab a beer with the guy. 5 stars for Troy!!! read more

Troy is incredibly different, as a personal trainer. He is very friendly, and has a good conversation. This makes the time pass by very pleasantly. He takes a personal interest in your body type, your posture, and how you handle yourself. He tailors the exercise to correct any body structure that is not performing correctly. He helped me to become more stable and to understand my body and how it works. The best part is that I have more energy and have become a better ballroom dancer, which is what I love, because of the stability I've improved on as well as learning how to use all the muscle groups. I was hosting a bridal reception for the church and she did the paintings in my bathroom. He brought the chairs to the reception. And I asked what he did and he said "Personal Training" and I said "oh Boy". And we got to talking. I had a membership at another gym but Troy said he could save me the time and come to my house. I thought that was the most delightful idea. Now with a personal trainer, I am an athlete and Troy continuing with one routine and then the next. He brings all the equipment needed for my fitness program to my house in Glendale. Instead of adding years to life I am getting stronger and counting down. Troy works with Kay an acupuncturist and Dr. Palmer the most personable chiropractor I have ever met. Together they keep me as fit as a fiddle. I've just had two workouts with Troy, but I already know I love it. I've had trainers in the past through gyms like 24 Hr. but they didn't take the time to ask me about my long term goals, past obstacles, injuries, health history, etc. I guess you can say Troy's approach is more holistic, and I think that's awesome. Im a chef and I love to EAT! Im also on my feet all day and the last thing I want to do when I get off is go work out. But I made a commitment to do something different this year. Like Lisa G...I also have a history of spinal issues (spinal fusion 38 yrs ago)...and intermittent back and hip pain for the last 10 years.
