I came here for facial acupuncture sessions. First of all, let me say that this establishment is also a gym, hence, when you go in to have a "relaxing" acupuncture session, you must be okay with the sounds of weights hitting the floor, as well as loud aerobic music omitting from the next room, as you lie there with needles all over your body. Which does not exactly create an ideal environment for acupuncture in my opinion, which is supposed to be a relaxing experience, right? That should've been a red flag, but I decided to give this place a chance anyway. After what I believe was my fourth session, I noticed that after I had left, I felt a slight tingling on the top of my head. I didn't think much of it, and just attributed it to my session. I went to bed that night thinking everything was fine, then, upon waking up the next morning, I saw a horrific sight when I looked in the mirror. As it turns out, he had LEFT A NEEDLE IN THE TOP OF MY HEAD. Yes, he left one of the acupuncture needles in my head, after forgetting to remove it after said session. Which is not only a total amature mistake, but also totally scary! Like, a needle was in my head ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT. I brought this up with him the moment I realized what happened via texting him a photo of said needle. He was apologetic and seem to express concern, so I was cool about it. In his defense, I have incredibly coarse hair on the top of my head, which is likely why he missed it? Still though, he should be well trained enough to know where he's put the needles, regardless of how visible they are after being placed. read more

This is my first time trying cryotherapy. When I met Alex, he immediately made me feel comfortable about the process and he explained the procedures clearly to me. He also answered all my questions in regards to the pain management, weight loss and inflammation. By the end of the consult, I was really excited to try it! -90 degrees Celsius is super cold for me the first time but it was not unbearable. Alex was with me the entire time and advising me to rotate in the chamber and helping me count down to the 3 mins, which is equivalent to 45 mins in an ice bath! Feeling the blast of cool air was very refreshing and I don't expect to feel anything right away. Hence, I bought 5 treatment to start. After the 2nd time, I think I'm comfortable about going colder now! Over all, Hybrid Wellness is a very inviting place and I would recommend everyone to try Cryotherapy at least once to seeks its benefit. I started Hybrid wellness just over a month ago through a recommendation by a friend. The circuit classes that they offer every morning and evening during the week are a great way to keep in shape. The workouts are tough and force you to push yourself beyond what you think your body is able to do. Both Alex and Artin do a great job of switching out the workouts, explaining what you are working on, and pointing out the correct technique. I never get bored with the workouts like I did at the regular gym and have already seen improvements with weight loss, stamina, and overall feel great. Alex knows his stuff!!! I've had many different problems/injuries (being a CrossFitter of course!!!) and he has fixed them every single time I've walked out of there. He's done acupuncture on my scap, and I felt better within 2 days, so I was able to do overhead lifts again. He's also been working on my elbow (tendonitis issue) doing a combo of acupuncture and acupressure (this is an injury that can take months to heal) and I'm able to clean again and do muscle ups after just 2 weeks of treatment.
