Dr. Holm is very interesting. He has a great understanding of human biology and nutrition. We do stretches, massage, cracking of the upper back. We talk about weight lifting, working, posture at work. Every time I see him I get 'nuggets of wisdom'. He suggested I try to use a stand up desk part of the time. He also told me that weight lifting increases bone density. One thing that I like is he tries to teach me what to do so I can work on trying to improve myself on my own between visits. And what to do so I will have less problems in the future. I went to a chiro previously a few years ago. I felt the massage, supplements, and back cracking had a lot of theatrics. Dr. Holm is the real deal however. He knows his stuff.

At the end of the visit, I was asked if I wanted to wait for a copy of the films, or have them delivered to the doctor's office. Of course, I want them delivered to the doctor's office! Was told they would be there the next day. Great! Made appointment with the specialist for followup in 2 day's time (because after all - they are to get the films in one day, right?) We show up, doctor has reports, but no films. Wasted appointment wasted co-pay, wasted time. Argh. Phone them and ask them what happened - well, they had a processing problem. Great - I understand - but why not let me know so I don't make a useless appointment? It's not a month later, and I still don't have films. All they can tell me is they delivered them - but not when, how or prove it. Good thing it's not an emergency, just a nagging problem from an old injury. I suspect I will be arguing with them about who pays for copies - it's *not* going to be me. If you go, strongly suggest you wait for whatever it is you need for your next appointment. They seem to have some administrative and delivery issues. And if you can go someplace else, you may wish to. Will I return: No - I'll try to find another in-network business even if it's a farther drive. Would I recommend: No.

Thank goodness that I was able to find her because I honestly don't think I can go to any other massage therapist ever. She has gotten me through training for l two marathons and various injuries, aches, workouts (Insanity), etc. Christine is extremely personable and very professional, not to mention VERY good at massage. Almost 20 years after I was a passenger in a life-threatening car accident, my healing journey…read morebrought me to my parents' chiropractor, Dr. Robert Rhey. I had been suffering from worsening right calf pain for more than five years that mainly disturbed my sleep. I had tried many functional solutions including OTC sleep aids, NSAIDS, diet changes, supplement changes and whatever gel or cream promised relief. When compensating for my calf pain led to left knee pain, I finally sought a mechanical solution in chiropractic. I was on his chiropractic exam table for less than 10 minutes before he saw what doctors, physical therapists, a podiatrist and, because I have traveled for business, other chiropractors have either missed or misdiagnosed as the complete opposite. After Dr. Rhey adjusted me, I slept through the night for the first time in years! While Dr. Rhey is an excellent chiropractor, he offers other mechanical therapies for musculoskeletal pain that may be the result of years of untreated degradation. I have taken advantage of the massage therapy, custom orthotics, and spinal decompression. I have found these therapies ease any pain between adjustments and help the adjustments last longer. Actually, he and his massage therapist are a good team! She tells me WHERE I need to stretch and he recommends HOW I should stretch so I don't aggravate my situation further. Dr. Rhey also practices functional medicine and can give recommendations for supplements or diet changes while a patient's body is healing. You can tell that he cares about his patients and wants to promote their general well-being. Hands down, Dr. Rhey wins the award for the least amount of hands-on time to the most improvement!
