Thankfully it was a Wednesday night, anyone coming during a weekend night; Friday or Saturday, salutes to you. I can't do it, it's too loud, too crazy, and those wait times in the drive-thru, abysmal. Thankfully not tonight, it was very late, close to midnight. Lined moved fairly quickly, service was good, employees are always polite and very friendly. Once i got home, food was still very hot and fries still crispy. That's one thing for sure, food quality at any In-N-Out is hard to mess up. Consistent, every single time. The only thing for me that i noticed is that pricing is spiking, it wasn't very long ago that i was paying only 18 dollars for two meals. Now it's up to 26 with tax. This is my first time going to this particular In-N-Out. I was just finishing a hike in Livermore and found this particular restaurant which was very close to the 580 which is what I needed to get me back home. So it being conveniently located right off the freeway was amazing. The line was long, but you have to expect that edit in and out. However, I felt like it moved along pretty quickly and I think I had my food within 10 to 15 minutes, which is to be expected. The young man that took my order was very friendly and the two people that helped me one being at the cash register, and the other delivering my food, we're also very accommodating and and friendly. Maybe I'm just an uncultured Phillistine, but I don't get the hype. Staff is always friendly, and they do a good job of managing the constant chaos, but food is consistently so so. Burger meat is very thin and not super seasoned. And the fries are overly salted or taste like freezer burnt cold hard blebs. Maybe I've just been unlucky, but this place has never been amazing. Extremely disappointed. Ordered two 3x3 burgers and every single patty (6 total) was served medium-rare to raw in the middle. This place is a well oiled machine. The food is good. The service is good. It functions as intended.

Haven't been to a In-N-Out Burger in a while. Been missing something. First thing I noticed was that a dedicated person was cleaning tables, floors and emptying trash. No waiting for a clean table. No trash on floors. Restroom clean with supplies fully stocked. Second, menu is simple, burgers, cheese burgers, fries, drinks and milkshakes. That's it. But you can get double, triple and quadruple burgers if you wish. The Protein version is a lettuce wrap. Great for people on Keto. Animal style also! Everything fresh nothing frozen. No microwaves here. Lettuce, tomato, beef, prepared on-site. Fries are softer because they aren't frozen & also sliced on site. Prices: Cheese Burger $5.50, Fries $2.50, drinks $2-3 depending on size. A combo can be had for $10. Fries come in one size (medium) for $2.50. Compared to $3-5 every else. Tastes great and served hot. And exactly as ordered. Napkins provided. Counter staff is friendly, speaks clear English, asks if you want onions, confirms your order back and thanks you for your order. Employees start at $2 over minimum wages and average $24-$26 per hour. Never saw employees standing around or on phones while we wait for them to get around to serving us. Everyone is working efficiently and quickly. Only waited 5 minutes for my in restaurant order. While the restaurant was packed! They have used paper food wraps since 1948 before it was fashionable. They serve the order in small plastic reusable tubs instead of large flat trays. Drinks are self serve, ice tea brewed and lemons, sweeteners (sugar & stevia) fully stocked. Being Christian owned they put Biblical scripture references in small print on the wraps and cups for those people interested. In-N-Out sponsors an organization called slave2nothing.org which helps assist people with drug addiction or who are being trafficked. It's really nice that a fast food place has well trained, well paid friendly staff, serves great food fast and gives back to the community. Great job In-N-Out!! Will be a regular! read more

I had to park across the street and while driving to the parking lot across the street, I hit that stupid rock sticking out of the pavement. Honestly disappointed! I grew up in Livermore, and was just back in town visiting and decided to grab the 'ole reliable, In N Out. I got there about 4pm today, Thursday, and ordered a double-single and fries. I then waited 17 minutes, watching every customer who arrived and ordered after I did receive their to-go orders, and finally had to go up front to ask where my food was as I noticed no dine-in orders had gone out for almost the whole time I was waiting. They were confused, checked the grill, and said it was coming. I finally got it a couple minutes later, and it was sloppily thrown together, the top bun was burned, and fries undercooked. It really took me by surprise as I can't really think of a time In N Out has let me down in my 32 years on this earth, but today they definitely did. Maybe this was just a fluke and not a sign of the Livermore In N Out finally seeing it's downfall. Hopefully they get it figured out or at least swap out whoever was running dine-in grill, as it clearly was not their strong suit. There were at least a dozen other diners waiting for food when I was, and the table next to me, which was waiting on their food the entire time I ate, was expressing a similar disappointment in how slow things were moving. Is there ever an In n Out that's not busy? Line wasn't too bad when we got the for a late lunch. Drive thru was long so we went dined in. Friendly staff greeted us right when we walked in. Took our order and it was packed per usual. Plenty of parking. Clean bathroom. Tables needed cleaning but again they were so busy. Didn't wait that long for our food. Always so good and fresh. I've never seen such a dirty In and Out . The Staff who was "cleaning " was half way cleaning and then he would clean something else. Another staff member was sweeping but didn't pick up the dirt/ trash from the floor. They would pass by the ketchup stand they would see how dirt it was but they didn't bother to clean it. read more

In & Out Burger joint. Yelp says they open at 1030am but they were open at 10am. I ordered a #1: Double double, animal style, no tomato or lettuce plus fries and a Diet Coke. Coat with tax was a little over $10. The burger was probably the best I'd ever had at In & Out. Fries were decent but I'm not a huge fan. Employees clean and neat, friendly and professional. We received all four drinks and perfectly cooked well done fries but missing the #2 animal style. We held up the line at the drive through for 12 minutes, not to our fault, and then was told to go wait up front for the missing burger. It was a pretty long wait but Brooke gave us a bunch of stickers, was super apologetic, and just kept the smile and positive attitude even though our order was not taken correctly. Could never visit for lunch because the lines were always too long. Not because they're slow but because they're just that popular. We were road-tripping with a guest from Japan and of course, In-N-Out has not made it to Japan (and most likely, never will), so we wanted to give him a "once-in-a-lifetime-experience" (he's 93-years old). He was fascinated with the order-taker standing out in the sun taking orders from the cars in line. Try, as I might, I could not convince him to try a burger, protein style, but he did lecture me in broken English about the origin of hamburgers and eating one without bread is NOT a hamburger. We ended up with 1 cheeseburger with grilled onions (his). 2 cheeseburgers with grilled onions, protein style. 1 cheeseburger with grilled onions, protein style cut in 1/2. The burger that was cut was served as two halves (just in case I could convince him to try it. I didn't). No fries. One regular Coke, One Diet Coke. This In-N-Out is like most other ones in design, layout, menu, and service. That is part of the reason why you come to In-N-Out, because what you expect is what you get (WYEIWYG). I have been to many In-N-Out locations, including Gilroy, Dublin, Fairfield, Seaside, Pleasant Hill, Daly City, Santa Nella (where the hell is that?) and more. They are all similar in layout, red-yellow-and white colors, well scrubbed teens making fresh french fries wearing white outfits with a red safety pinned half apron, and the long drive thru-line. (BTW, the one in Marin/Mill Valley off 101 is one of the few that doesn't have a drive thru.) In-N-Out started in the San Gabriel Valley of SoCal, Baldwin Park to be exact, in 1948 by Harry & Ethel Snyder, in a 10 square foot storefront with a drive thru. (McDonald's also started in SoCal, in San Bernadino by the McDonald's brothers, before Ray Kroc franchised it in 1955.) Harry created a 2 way Speaker box to have a true Drive-thru experience. In 1954, they updated their Logo to the Gold Lit Arrow. In 1961 they invented "Animal Style". This is a secret menu choice, which I always order for my Cheeseburger combo (#2 on the simple menu), because they mustard-cook the beef patty and add hand-leafed lettuce and tomato, plus pickle, extra spread and grilled onions. You can even go "Animal" on your Fries. Not sure what that means, because I have never ordered it. The reason why there are crossed "X" Palm Trees at many In-N-Out locations? Harry Snider was a big fan of the old 1963 star-studded comedy movie "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, World", which featured hidden treasure under a big "W" (4 palm trees criss-crossing it turns out) so Harry starting in 1972, planting half of that, the Palm Tree "X" at new locations. ( I have seen that movie, it is hilarious, btw.) A couple of years later, they standardized on the red safety pinned aprons on associates. Harry passed in 1976, and the business was continued by his wife Esther and sons Rich and Guy. in 1988 they opened their 50th store; in 1994, the 100th, now in multiple states. Today they have about 350 stores in 7 western states, and Lynsi Snyder, Harry and Esther's granddaughter, is the President. Their annual sales in 2021 was over $1 billion. I usually order the # 2, which is a cheeseburger combo, or when hungry, the Double Double #1. At $7.50 for a cheeseburger, freshly made fries and drink, it is a good deal in these inflationary times. Even with Animal style, it is only $8.30. It's hard to find a lunch or dinner under $10 these days. That, and the good eats, is why there is always a long line in the Drive-Thru at In-N-Out! read more

I am only giving 3 stars because of the speed and cleanliness. Almost every table, the floor was dirty with either napkins, straw wrappers and food on it.
