She gave us the background on the owner, Joey Tensley, as well as their tasting room in downtown Los Olivos. She mentioned that they change their tasting selection every couple of months, and it's best to call to see what they're currently pouring. Lots of indoor seating, as well as a couple tables out front. No food available, but you're welcome to bring something with you. WINES: Tensley makes their wines from fruit sourced from various vineyards in Santa Barbara County. We tried a '23 Clairette Blanche, a '21 GSM (red blend), and two '23 Syrah (one a blend of 3 vineyards, and the other from a single vineyard). The wines were well made and had great noses. We really enjoyed the white and the last Syrah, but as I always say, wine can be very subjective to an individual's palate. What I enjoy, you may not, so have fun and try for yourself. Parking is available in an underground lot with escalators and elevators to all floors. We were there about an hour and a half and it was only $5.

Hidden gem alert. We heard Tensley was opening here in Brentwood and boy are we glad. Go have a…read moreglass or try a tasting of four different wines by Joey Tensley! You will love it.

We were treated so nicely and it was great to taste their wines and learn about their business. The location is very accessible and it was a great setup to enjoy wine with friends. I loved the passion Chris has when he speaks about the wines. I can't wait to go back and try more when I am in the area.

We immediately walked over and I was trying to get more info on what they're all about and I left confused. I considered hosting a party at blending lab in the past & I was under the impression that we blend our own wine. Yesterday I asked the guy behind the counter some questions and he didn't mention this option at all. He said we can taste wine and pay for a glass...I was actually trying to learn more about the business, not the offerings at the opening party . I'm truly invested in putting beautiful West Adam's on the map, I love and purposely made an effort to move into this neighborhood. Maybe next time I'll learn more about what they'll be offering at this new location. They have a cute interior plus a small outdoor area with string lights. I was a bit surprised the glass of wine was $20 which isn't competitive for this area (the area is not nice enough yet) but I know costs are getting high. I do want to support businesses moving into our community but I'd like them to take into consideration that this is still south LA and a lot of people who grew up in this neighborhood isn't a fan of the gentrification and pricing the businesses charge I do feel for them, people like me moving into the neighborhood hasn't helped but even for me I thought it was a bit much. I'll continued observing but nonetheless am happy to see something be open up. Maybe I'll take a class one day if that's still an option and update my review.

Sincerely, this was the perfect dining experience. Such a beautiful, rustic open space (a truly…read moreopen space - it opens into the Farmer's Market). It felt like a beautiful Italian country kitchen ....We were charmed as soon as we walked in, with the lovely setting, beautiful ambiance and live music. The service was extraordinary - helpful, very very kind. We were frequently checked on throughout our meal. Our server was very knowledgeable, patient. He helped us pick out what to order. Everyone went above and beyond. We had our little dog; and they were so sweet, surprised us by bringing over a bowl of water, nice touch... The manager or possibly the owner came by to say hello. She was very sweet and welcoming. Had a very good, crisp, glass of white wine from their nice wine list (my boyfriend noted the fragrance of it) while we went through the difficult process of deciding what to order. There were so many good choices and settled on some dishes recommended by others on yelp and one that the server said was one of his favorites. No one had to help me with my pizza selection; that was a no brainer... So yes, the food - omg! The food! Soooo good! My boyfriend kept on raving over the frittura misto - fried shrimp, calamari and vegetables appetizer, with a yummy aioli sauce. Fried calamari is one of the dishes that we always order, and he said this was the best he'd ever had! Lightly breaded. Perfectly crispy. A definite must for anyone that likes calamari. Not only that, but we had a delicious pasta tagliatelle all bolognese with a meat sauce. We had a similar the night before, but this was even better. For me - and this is saying so much - we splurged and got a pizza with truffle, arugula, mushrooms and creamy buffalo mozzarella. I was surprised because I did not see it on any of the menus shown on yelp.... Was happily shocked to see truffle on the menu! It was the most expensive on the menu, but, hey, truffle! We get truffle whenever we can, whatever country... and for example had just got back from Italy and had hunted down a number of wonderful truffle dishes in Italy, and purchased fresh truffle there. The point is - we love truffles! So when I told my boyfriend that this was the best truffle pizza I've ever had, that was a very big deal. They put a lot of truffle in the pizza, and in combination with the wonderful other ingredients, I was in heaven! We had a bit of crust left over and had to dip in the virgin olive oil on our table. Delicious of course. Absolutely, the perfect meal! Next time we go for dinner, I won't eat lunch so I can justify ordering more! Highly, highly recommend!

The side wall is festooned with bottles of Organic wine curated from their winery Ettore in Mendocino. Now let's get to the food and service, both of which were excellent. We split a very fresh and perfectly seasoned tricolore salad. Next we split the lightly battered perfectly salted frittura mista, showcasing the tenderness of each piece, including calamari rings, tentacles, zucchini and carrot strips. I opted for the pillowy Gnocchi alla Sorrentina, they were so heavenly that I didn't want them to leave my plate. The light tomato sauce created a perfect marriage to the straccatella OMD (O Mio Dio)! I enjoyed a glass of the Ettore Chardonnay which was very pleasant and non oaked. I also had the next level Chardonnay which was more full bodied and it also was delicious. Matteo was so genteel and quite knowledgeable about everything! Grazie e complimenti! Ciao...Cristina

It's an intimate room with wine rack walls, very classy spot for hosting small to medium sized groups. I've been here twice now as part of a corporate outing, and both times J. B. Severin was our wine host for the night and was simply amazing. Very knowledgeable, friendly, approachable, and welcoming. For this second visit, we had a French theme night, with wines and small plates from all around France. So great! With each wine or food, J.B. showed us on a map the region it was from and explained the traditional preparation methods and why the wines end up tasting as good as they do. The food was also out of this world. -Lobster salad with Asian pear, jicama, Hollander cucumber, and blood orange aioli - savory. Delicious. Amazing. Delicate. -Tuna Nicosia salad with green beans, eggs, olives, tarragon vinaigrette - perfect blend of flavors. You could taste the tuna, but any fishiness was masked over. Dijon added a perfect blend to the flavors. -Heirloom tomato and burrata, with lemon basil dressing - nice. Not too zesty. Allows burrata to shine through. -Sea bass - the lemon sauce is divine; buttery and not too sweet. The fish itself was soft, and very tender. -Chicken francaise - good, mild flavors -Veal florentine - not gamey, creamy sauce. -Millefeulle napoleon - light dessert with flaky layers. All in all everything about the night was simple perfection. I would highly recommend this place for a private event, and J.B. as your host. You learn about the wines and foods in a fun, relaxed environment, and everything is perfectly executed.
