It was my first time attending an event by this promoter and it was overcrowded and she appeared to oversell the event. There was no where to sit since everyone had reserved tables. Why are tables even reserved for a game night? We should be able to freely move around to any table to play the games. I spoke to the promoter during the night to ask about available seating and she advised me to check the patio. It was a hot night, over 80 degrees out and no seats even available on the outside/hot patio. I left the event. I paid money like everyone else to play games, but with no seat, how was that supposed to happen? This set up does not allow you to mingle with others while playing the games. I will never support this event again. She needs to plan this better. The venue also seemed too small. Save your money and support a business that actually provides what they advertise! I agree with some of the other comments, with it being just a money grab. I would like a refund!

With a year of distance, my opinion hasn't changed. Looking back, I felt the service benefited a relatively small group of members who seemed to receive most of Cindy's attention and matchmaking effort. Once I signed up and paid, I didn't feel she had much interest in actually helping me succeed. Since leaving Cindy's Singles, I've had far more dates through dating apps and meeting women on my own than I ever did through the service. After several years around Cindy's Singles and paying for two memberships, I can say it simply wasn't a good experience for me. I would not join again.

The event organizer did come up to say hello on my way out. I appreciated that and while it was a potluck they did invite all to come whether they brought food or not, which was nice. All their messaging says welcoming but the experience was definitely not. I would not return. Part of the trip included an activation by the Artful Bachelorette, a scandalizing crash course on drawing men in the nude. Their lovely team brings all the supplies, a fully nude model (hey, Oscar!) and provides guidance on drawing the male physique. There's two easy-to-follow rules: no touching and no photos. Once we got over the giggling, the afternoon went so smoothly. Over a two-hour period, we drank mimosas, ate cake, and got to know Oscar on a very personal level. Fortunately for us (and our champagne buzz) no artistic talent is necessary to enjoy this activity! The experience is very immersive with simple step by step instructions. Their team created a number of exercises and fun surprises to keep the group laughing and engaged. This would be a great alternative to anyone who finds strippers to be a bit too raunchy. The experience was classy, fun, and laughable. Despite not knowing many of the girls prior to our trip, we all left feeling bonded by alcohol and nudity.

The reality, however, was that most of these students were recent L.A. arrivals with little working knowledge of the entertainment industry. It's hard not to recognize the power imbalances at play and potential vulnerabilities being exploited. Having said that, I will not disparage the talent that came out of these shows, and I will commend the owner's rules regarding privacy (no cameras allowed) and hygiene (towel is required).
