It's got lots of space, a back area with free weights, a cardio machine area, many different workout equipment areas, and even an upstairs with a mix of cardio and workout equipment. They have an indoor swimming pool you can lounge or do laps. Kid friendly. There is a hot tub, steam room, and sauna room. Friendly staff and the gym is always kept clean. I would give it 5 stars if you went back to being open for 24 hours. That's my only grippe. read more

I enjoy coming to this gym, the staff is always nice, friendly, and welcoming. People here (gym members) are respectful and mind their business. I don't have any complaints about anything. It's always clean, and the staff is always working hard to keep it clean. If it's dirty is because people don't clean after themselves. Floors are new upstairs, pool is remodeled, and clean bathrooms. The sauna is the only place where it smells, but that's because people go in there sweating (which makes sense). read more

First time coming to ANY In-Shape & it's super close to home. My fiance and I came here for of course the new year to try to get our bodies right lol. It's very spacious inside, a lot of equipment, they have a heated pool, a jacuzzi, sauna, a kids play place, extra rooms for extra working out. This place is huge! Spacious, bright, and 2 stories equipped with many different kinds of machines. There is a women's area upstairs with weights. But the down-stairs cardio is my favorite with the huge wall of tvs (maybe close to a dozen tvs!). I would come and watch the Warriors game or other shows displayed on other screens while on a machine. :-) They also have a circuit area near the locker rooms. I especially liked the pool and gym classes. The sauna and steam room are quite small compared to larger gyms I've been to and some people do not follow the rules. It strictly says to not enter with gym clothes and shoes, to change into swim-wear but people still go inside with their sneakers and clothes. It's unsanitary bringing in all of the dirt from our shoes. We should at least go in with flip-flops or be barefoot. The other gym I've been to enforced this rule unfortunately it's not the same at this gym. Other than that, a good gym to get your workout on and a decent size kid's club area. I loved this gym when it was 24 hours. I work graveyard shift so my time is limited in the mornings and I use to go in the middle of the night but that option isn't available. Then they rearranged the equipment and it's just not the same anymore. Unfortunately I'm going to have to cancel my membership. Too saturated and not enough machines to accommodate everyone and for $64 a month and this is with the add on it's just too much. I've been a member since 2014 and have it through my work. I had issues with the Prescott Club, specifically their GM who was not professional at all. I had been waiting 2 weeks for a follow up regarding my membership- I needed to add people and apparently my membership type is no longer offered, and I was supposed to get it grand fathered in. It didn't happen so the GM was going to reach out to corporate and find out if they can still honor it. After 2 weeks, didn't hear back after numerous phone calls and voicemails. I called again yesterday and an associate answered. She then said he was "going into a meeting" and he told her to tell me the answer was no. Very Unprofessional and lacking customer service. He, being the GM, should have given me a call back at the very least when he was finished with the meeting for an explanation. Anyhow, very frustrated- I went to Monte Vista today. Taylor looked into my account and did not see any notes since 4/22. This told me that the GM from Prescott did not even reach out to corporate. There was no current notes about my issue. Taylor went above and beyond and provided even better info and rates than my current plan. Now that is excellent customer service. I am appalled at the treatment I received by Prescott's GM- I believe his name is Koby or Colby. ( not sure spelling). I'll be at Monte Vista from here on out. read more

I transferred from Planet Fitness a week ago, and this place is demonstrably better. There is a bigger variety of equipment and more amenities to choose from (pool, spa, sauna, etc.). However, there are a couple of things preventing me from giving five stars. First, making a reservation for a lane in the pool apparently doesn't guarantee you'll get your selected lane. When I made a reservation this morning for lane #2, it was in use. There needs to be time limits for these lanes and they need to track who reserves them. Secondly, the spa has been out of order for a full week. I got a notification on September 12 from the app saying that it would be open the following day, but fast forward to today (September 18): it's still down, no notification or anything. I talked to management about it, and they said the water was acidic. It would've been nice to get a notification saying that it was still down. read more

There are a couple of machines that have been wanting to use since I joined a month ago but are out of order, who knows when the heck they're going to get them fixed. I've been a member of this gym well over 10 years. I'm retired now with a health issue so I go to gym every morning for the best medicine I could do for myself, exercise. What I am tired of is a Filthy mens bathroom. I'm tired of daily asking the front desk to get toilet paper in the men bathroom and cleaning it. I'm sure the gym is about 70% men & 30% women. So why is there no male janitors during the morning / day shift?? It even got to the point of after asking several times for the mens bathroom to get toilet paper. After my 2 hour workout I went in the parking lot in my car and called the corporate office. I figured maybe if they called the Prescott club that it would findly get some toilet paper in the mens room. I normally dont go on Saturday morning but I did today Sat Dec 21st. Upon arriving you can see from the pictures I have attached to this review a Filthy bathroom out of toilet paper and the only garbage can full. So now people are just throwing their paper on the floor. I went to the front desk and took the gal very nicely. A hour later still nothing has happen. So I go tell another gal at the front desk. She tells me they would have to close the men's bathroom for one of them to clean it... I was hoping between the 2 of them they would have self discovered and easy solution about the Urgent need for toilet paper. No... so I can back and said how about you go get 4 rolls of toilet paper now.... and I would put them in the 2 stalls. I watched both gals check guys in and even with the appearance of them knowing them earlier after I mention no toilet paper when I first came in. and they could have asked them if it was ok if they gave them some toilet paper to put in the mens room until a male was on shift to clean it. So back to me asking for the toilet paper, it was like out of a simple problem light bulb going off. Neither of them even thought of it. This is not an Isolated case. This is the normal there at Prescott In Shape... NO TOILET PAPER and a Filthy men's bathroom. Hire male janitors to cover the hours open and clean the mens bathroom. I wish this was on Trip Advisor where I have over 90,000 readers.. "I never except anyone to do something that I'm not willing to do myself." I also pick up papers and empty bottles around the gym EVERYDAY I'm there. Why.... because this is My Gym Too. Where do I compete my time card to get paid for doing the janitors job?!?! read more

Honestly the only reason why I believe this location is 5-stars is because of the hard work I see the employees put into maintaining the gyms functionality and cleanliness. One particular employee that stood out to me is this guy Tim. I always see that guy hustling while I'm working out, and that work shows for its self. I really like Inshape Prescott. I love the classes, I really enjoy the instructors, weight room and people are really nice BUT I don't understand why the fitness studio is SO dirty ALL THE TIME! The gym has made some changes and the fitness studio looks more organized now, but the floor is always dirty. With dust, dirty. Our feet look very dirty after Pilates class. It is really disgusting. I used to go to another gym (in another city) that cleaned the studio floor after every class or maybe two, and always at the beginning and at the end of the day. I don't understand how this is not a priority for IN-SHAPE PRESCOTT. Same with the bathroom, the bathroom is always wet because of the people who takes classes in the pool. And that's great, I mean, I'm glad the gym has a pool and people can use it. It's just that the gym should be aware and prepare to clean afterwards. it is easy to find signs that say "wet floor" but I have never seen any person in charge of cleaning or maintenance trying to do something about it. I've been at this gym for 2 years now and at first it was great! It was always clean, plenty of equipment available, friendly staff who recognized me and knew my name and made me feel welcome. Somewhere along the road, however, all of these qualities have gone down. It's rare that a staff member will greet me or say and God forbid if you have a question or need to buy something. Many times I've been left at the front desk while employees stand there talking (including the manager) and not even acknowledge my existence. It has also not been as clean as it once was. Not to mention, I've had to modify almost every workout since dumbbells are always missing each time I go. This location is the quintessential example of empty-suit style corporate governance: NO LEADERSHIP/LACK OF OVERSIGHT. Local management needs to be replaced. No adherence to cleanliness on a regular basis; ineffectual door greeters that are more concerned about you wearing a mask when no one else there does; the clientele needs to be educated and drilled on gym etiquette: don't monopolize a machine -- allow others to work sets in. Before allowing just anyone with money in hand to just sign up and start doing their mindless own thing, why not require all newbies to undergo a real orientation instead of just a casual tour? Communicate member expectations and everyone will see this gym location as a refuge of fitness, not a constant source of frustration because of bad behavior. read more

love this gym, love this one. there are 2 others nearby, this is where i get it in. but for goodness sakes, stop spraying equipment and then wiping it with the towel. stop grabbing the wet towels and wiping the equipment and leaving the residue all over the handles stop using the wet towels and throwing them on the floor grab the blue towel, grab the spray, spray the towel, wipe the equipment. grab the wet towel, wipe your hands, then throw it in the trash under where you got it!!! happy lifting my friends. read more

This gym may seem impressive by first glance, but it really is not the place to be. The swimming pool area's ceiling is falling apart (I always wonder if the leaking white powder is asbestos), the showers are grimy, and they couldn't keep their gym clean if they paid someone everyday to do it. Oh wait, they do pay someone everyday to come around and clean! Machines in the women's gym are yellowing and ridiculously dusty. They have dead crickets in the ceiling lights. I had to ask 4 different people over a period of 6 weeks before they even bothered cleaning them out. If they can't clean up something that's obviously dirty, what do you think they're skipping where it matters? While signing up for a contract I was repeatedly told that if I moved away for school, cancelling would be easy. But guess what: it's not! If I moved more than 25 miles away from an in-shape, there would be no cancellation fee, but look: a charge of $100! On a positive note, they have a kids' zone, a wide variety of classes, lots of space, but over all they are BAD customer service agents. Everyone has a smile for you and they're always willing to help you buy something, but god forbid you need help here! Also, be careful leaving stuff in your car or going in later in the evening. I see someone getting arrested in the parking lot pretty often. This is not the safest part of town. read more

I used to hate this gym, but I do believe in second chances. (there was no other gym avail besides Brendas and Golds). So I resorted to In Shape. Close to home and love the classes. Feeling more comfortable here as I frequent it at least 2-3 times a week. I find myself losing track of time as 2 hours slip away! Take the classes to help motivate you! read more

IVe been coming to this location alot lately because it just seems most convenient . They have alot of great classes here. I am hoping the boxing and mma. Class opens up soon. I like the pool here too. The equipment here is very clean and easy to understand how to know what to do. They even have a tanning area here too. The staff is great an jokes around often. If your a woman this place definitely caters. They have a whole upstairs area just for women. This place has a laundry mat next door so I usually come here while I do my laundry . I asked if a piece of equipment was free and three guys weren't using it and said they had already called dibs. So weird. Verdict. 13$ guest pass was nice. This specific in shape location is a notch below city sports/la fitness/newer golds. But, it is definitely three notches above most 24 hour, fitness 19, etc. Decent value read more

I have given up on trying to attend the piloxing group exercising class that is suppose to be on Thursday nights. For 2 weeks in a row I showed up on time expecting to try the piloxing class and some other class replaced it. I checked the schedule frequently on my In shape app and no one ever updated the class schedule to say it was a different class. Be aware that the class schedules they post online and on their app is not always accurate because if it changes chances are they won't update it. Unfortunately this is not the first time I have gone to a class that has changed or completely cancelled without notification. The only reason this place even gets 2 star from me is because I like the body combat class. read more

Of the In-Shapes that I have toured, I like this one the best. It was clean, well designed, and has all the equipment I like. However, this afternoon, the pool experience was frightening. Little kids running and jumping into the warm pool. Kids wearing pajama bottoms in the lap pool lanes playing. A mother with a long sleeved tee shirt on and spandex work-out pants. Great gym, a lot of cardio equipment, indoor pool, tons of machine, and ok free weight selection. They could use a bit more smaller free weights, they only have one set of free weights which makes it difficult to continue a proper workout without "getting cold". The staff are friendly with greetings and answer all my questions. Some members are lazy by not re-racking their weights or wiping their nasty sweat off the machines. It shows how lazy people can be. I worked at a gym in Hawaii for 2 years and know the feeling. Luckily at my old gym, the owner would kick you out for that behavior. In shape locker rooms are clean and orderly.
