First and for most the staff members are very welcoming and helpful. I had a lot of questions about different workouts and a member named max helped me out tremendously! Unfortunately I got a email stating they are raising the membership price. This gym doesn't have a sauna or pool just a regular gym with a couple small Vollyball/pickleball courts. It doesn't make sense to me that other In-Shape locations have more luxurious stuff and members are paying the same price as the Turlock location, I really hope the in shape sport in Turlock can add atleast a sauna to make the membership worth it read more

Friendly staff members always! They try to maintain this gym and keep it as clean as possible. Just think they should bring new workout equipment to upgrade , and remodel the restrooms. Other than that, cool place to get a quick workout. :) read more

A 4 year old child was assaulted in the kids club at this location by 3 children 11-12 years old and corporate chose to treat this situation in a poor manor disregarding the 4 year olds safety. Go else-wear if you have children in the kids club program. read more

Not a bad gym at all. Gets a bit busy in the afternoon but would be way cooler if you had a sauna or infrared like NEXUS GYM has. But again the offer 3 day pass free. While every other gym charges $20 for a day pass! read more

Use to go to the Gear location. Good gym, with plenty of equipment. Pricing for member is okay. Staff were friendly for the most part.

Seriously one bench? This place is so small and over crowded. There was a line at the bench just to use it since it's the only one. The weight room should have a capacity limit that matches how much equipment is in there. I think it's time to close down and reopen somewhere bigger. You guys keep signing people up but don't have the space. What a joke. Shows how much In-Shape has changed. I rather drive to Modesto or ceres than come here even when I live up the street. read more

One star is more than they should be getting. They don't have anywhere near enough equipment for any workout and you end up standing around waiting or walking around aimlessly looking for workout equipment that you never find and the staff seem to hate their jobs. Cancelled my membership less than 30'days after signing up. read more

If you happen to be 65 and your insurance supplement offered a Silver-sneaker program which is a free gym membership at In Shape, don't plan on taking advantage of a gym close to your residence, (I live in the Floyd ave area) In Shape's policy is to only honor this Silver-sneaker program only at their Prescott gym location. Great place to play racquetball. Sad that RB isn't as popular as it once was, but the good news is that you can almost always get in a real, competitive, and fun workout without having to wait for a court (they have 3 at this location). I'm in my 50s and play with guys in their 60s, 70s AND 80's (absolutely true) who enjoy beating me in the courts regularly. RB has more become a big part of my overall game plan to be active (like my friends) for MANY years to come. read more

Really nice facility. Valerie helped the yancé and I sign up for a 7-day trial, and it was quick and simple. She told us about the amenities and since the yancé had been to this facility before, he showed me around. There were lots of machines to choose from... and I had seen several staff walking around which was nice to me just in case I had any questions. Thankful for Taylor who helped me change my membership. I've been a member since 2014 and have it through my work. I had issues with the Prescott Club, specifically their GM who was not professional at all. I had been waiting 2 weeks for a follow up regarding my membership- I needed to add people and apparently my membership type is no longer offered, and I was supposed to get it grand fathered in. It didn't happen so the GM was going to reach out to corporate and find out if they can still honor it. After 2 weeks, didn't hear back after numerous phone calls and voicemails. I called again yesterday and an associate answered. She then said he was "going into a meeting" and he told her to tell me the answer was no. Very Unprofessional and lacking customer service. He, being the GM, should have given me a call back at the very least when he was finished with the meeting for an explanation. Anyhow, very frustrated- I went to Monte Vista today. Taylor looked into my account and did not see any notes since 4/22. This told me that the GM from Prescott did not even reach out to corporate. There was no current notes about my issue. Taylor went above and beyond and provided even better info and rates than my current plan. Now that is excellent customer service. I am appalled at the treatment I received by Prescott's GM- I believe his name is Koby or Colby. ( not sure spelling) I will definitely copy and paste this on their Yelp. This is by far far the worst gym I have ever been to (and that is an understatement). Starting with the incompetent GM who makes you wear a mask just to check in. Once you check in you can take it off? What a joke. Aside from the moron GM the layout of this gym is absolutely terrible. A 5yr old could do a better job with the layout. The most popular free weight exercise is the standard bench press and they only have one, and they clearly have space for more. Add more benches and free weights and get it together or I will sign up for a new gym that actually knows what they're doing. If I could give this place a negative star I would. read more

So today My cars rear passenger window was broken into at the time span of 2:00-2:50 pm. I parked in the back of the building. I know, dumb move. They stole my purse. Again my mistake. But, the main reason I'm making a review is one of the employees helped me out soo much. He did a walk around and noticed it had been vandalized. He reported it. He came to my help. He vacuumed all the glass and tossed the big shards for me. I could not remember his name. He said he use to work for Dons mobile glass, that I do remember. It was kind you went out of your way. I love coming to this establishment after work in the early evenings. Compared to other In-Shapes, Monte Vista is by far the cleanest. Working out here is great because there's never really a crowd which allows me to not need to wait for equipment. The staff are super friendly and Men's Locker room is always clean! read more

Nice, clean and modern. This place has a lively atmosphere thanks to the wonderfully accommodating staff who can really chat it up if you're in the mood. They're all very friendly and have become so used to seeing me they never have to ask if I'd like a towel; they just slap one on the counter when I walk in. The bathrooms are very clean and tidy and I've never once been bothered by a gym goer. The equipment is usually in good condition and very diverse-- 2 floors full of equipment leaves you with a lot of room to breathe with the usually bustling crowd coming in and out. The classes seem very positive and fun, though that's just from a voyeur's point of view The prices are on the higher end, but is worth it for all the access you get. read more

When I first moved to Turlock from the Bay Area I was shopping around for different gyms and none of them really had what I needed but once I came to the Monte Vista location I was really pleased to see that they had most of the machines and equipment I was looking for! I come to the gym literally every day and it's good environment. It gets packed between 5:30 until 7 Bc of the group classes but other than that it's a normal busy. The staff is nice they are just on their phones when the bathroom needs towels. I don't like to use the dryer so anyways, I came last night around 7 and there was no towels to dry my hands and I came this morning at 6 and still nothing. The feminine boxes are full too.. But the weights are where they are suppose to be so that's a plus. read more

I have been to many Inshapes but this is by far the cleanest, friendliest, and go home feeling good club around. All employees greet you with a smile. They are there to make you time worth it. Not once have ran into a situation where they were not able to take care of me. I can use the restroom and feel clean while I'm in there. Some I don't want to touch anything. The staff and coaches are five star! When I need assistance or have a question they go above and beyond. The facility is kept clean especially the restrooms and showers. Speaking of showers they have rainfall shower heads. I always feel welcome. Kristen has done an amazing job as manager. The staff genuinely act like they want to be here. read more

I enjoy worKing our here, lots of space, everyone is minding their own business not like any other gyms where people just stare and make you feel uncomfortable, I really wish they install a sauna soon for each individual women and men's locker rooms just how they have it in Tracy Ca. Everything is renovated/remodeled nice atmosphere just needs the sauna, please install soon! I understand the one on Geer rd has its own but it's very uncomfortable for women being in the same room with men and it's always packed inside the sauna I would post 5 stars but all it's missing is the sauna read more

I had a great first training session with Dennis today! He was very friendly and made me feel comfortable. He spent time going over my personal goals and problem areas before taking me through some exercises. It was super helpful to have him correct my form and explain the reasoning; he also gave me some great info on what sequence to do my gym exercises to receive the best results. Can't wait to go back! Also, I just became a member at this gym and am very impressed by the staff. They are kind, helpful and do a great job. It has a great atmosphere and layout. This In-shape is one of the best in this area, and I have been to many. What makes this place stand out is its people. The faces here are always friendly, and they go out of their way to be helpful and listen to their customer base. A prime example of this is Val. She recruited me into In-Shape, and I brought along my family. Val has a great personality, and she takes time to give one-on-one attention when needed. It was Val who encouraged me to join, which changed my life as I had never been a member of a gym before. She showed me the facility and made me feel at home; never did I experience that feeling of 'gymtimidation." Thanks, Val. The GM Crissy, is the most disrespectful person in that facility.. She couldn't find my membership and made me go behind the front desk to look for my own membership so I could check in and use the club when I pay for my membership every month. She harassed me all the way out the door. Working for a gym myself, you want to take care of your members and make sure they have a good environment to be in. That gym is a mess since she took over, she also allows people to leave weights everywhere and trash all over the gym floor. She stays in her office all day, every time I have been there she is always in her office eating fast food and or on her personal cell phone. She should not be working in front of people if she can't treat them with respect. read more
