He even took the time to explain how the Black Card membership offers better value compared to the classic plan, and now I'm convincing my husband that we should upgrade. Im from out of town and have been a Planet member black card for many years. I primarily enjoy PF as I travel a bit and PF is at most places in the nation that I travel. In order for a location to get better and get praise for sutainbility I think its worth a review. The Turlock, CA PF employees are friendly everytime I use gym while in town which is positive for this site. As for equipment compared to other nationwide PF locations it does not meet standards. Many pieces of equipment are worn out or out of order. Specifically, on my visit today 5/6/26, 6 treadmills out of order, dispensers broken, urinal out of order and more to list. This facility has a new manger and seems like a good guy but overall this gym has issues. One issue is that the rules of the gym that are posted at the desk and show up on the tv screen are never enforced. People constantly playing music on their phones with neither headphones or ear buds, employees as well as the manager just walk by without doing anything about it. It's really annoying for people who follow the rules when besides the music that the gym plays you have to listen to various other people's music. One major issue is the men's locker room awhile back they spent money to remodel the locker room but this facility has a plumbing problem that has been going on for several years. The men's urinals are constantly broken, as of today one has been broken for several days the other one went down either this morning or yesterday. I will give them credit because it seems they are trying to do a better job cleaning but when a piece of equipment goes down it usually is down for days at a time or in some cases longer. I know it's hard to justify complaining when your only paying $10 a month but that's not the point. Enforce the rules or don't post them in the gym fix equipment in a timely manner and resolve the plumbing issue in the men's locker room. read more

They recently updated some of their workout equipment. In the morning and mid afternoon it's not packed but if you come in after 5pm it's packed and you'll be fighting for a machine or weights. I don't trust the locker room as I have heard people breaking into the lockers so beware. read more

Broken machines!!! It's been 3 weeks with only 1 stair climber working. Staff is apologetic. But, that does repair the machines.

Always seems to be busy/crowded. The staff seem friendly. The other gym members seem courteous and clean up after themselves. The showers are janky and cold. The water does NOT warm up. The shower heads are so weird. Definitely could use a good solid cleaning as well as replacements. Also, FIX IT SO THERE IS WARM WATER TO SHOWER WITH. read more

They have really turned it around here. The staff is super friendly and i absolutely love how much pride they take in keeping the gym clean. The bathrooms were recently renovated and there is always hot water now! I've been to other PF in the area and this is by far my favorite now. read more

Staff is rude. On their phones while paper towels aren't stocked and empty on the whole gym floor. Some try to in force rules while others don't care to say a damn thing. I've emailed in two times to cancel and nobody ever calls me or cancels and they keep taking money out of my account! Stay away, they don't care about customer service, just getting your bank account information so they can keep taking your money. To update this, I emailed in to Planet Fitness which is a total waste of time. Again, I must send in a certified letter or go down to cancel as canceling via the email exchange we were having was just too hard for them. terrible experience, I have been with INShape for over 10 years and never had one problem, I thought I'd switch my gym to PLANET FITNESS, for 10 dollars a month deal, It was the most significant mistake I made, not even ONE MONTH that I signed up, last night somebody broke into the lockers and took my stuff, the management doesn't care and doesn't respond at all, they don't even empathize with you, No wonder is 10 $ dollars a month, It cost me more 1000 $, in losses, horrible fitness. read more

If you enjoy getting your things stolen from your locker and waiting 30 minutes for a group of 6 people to get done using a single machine make sure to check this place out. Also when your things do get stolen don't worry about asking the staff for help, because they aren't any. If your looking to work out for a cheap price I recommend sitting in your car during the summer to loose wait instead. It's a far more enjoyable experience than visiting your neighborhood judgment free zone. read more

My husband and I just rejoined this gym last month and already we want to quit! Last week his truck was broken into in the gym parking lot. A couple weeks ago I tried using the 30 mins workout area but apparently there was a class going on and I was asked to leave the area and come back later. Then today when I tried to use the Blackcard perks and use the massage chairs I was told that management made the decision to cut the allotted time in half, from 10 mins down to 5 mins, but I could come back and get another token when my 5 mins was up if I wanted and go again! Really?! This place is turning into a joke!!! Very disappointing!! I pay extra money for the Blackcard perks and now the perks are being taken away. Why don't they cut the rate in half too?! Do NOT sign up to this branch! No hot water in the showers for months now. And the management got rid of toilet seat covers probably as a way to make a quick profit, as they seem to havee forgotten about cleanliness and sanitation. This is basically a review of the owners and operators, not the employees who are actually nice and only relay the information they are given by corporate. Since the "remodel" a couple of months back, showers were supposed to be working properly but to no avail. Showers get shut down at least once a week to get "looked at" and "fixed" and still continue to be freezing cold. They take forever to drain so if you go shower, there is still an inch of water from the previous person 30 minutes later. Basically a lack of care for customers by corporate who refuse to fix the simple perks we are supposed to be paying for. Who knows how much the "remodel" cost only for basic necessities such as electricity, warm showers, toilet seat covers, and basically caring for customers to no longer be deemed as an expectation but rather a luxury that no longer applies to members. read more
