Unlike many of the local auto service shops that make you wait forever and attempt to seduce you with free coffee, these guys get right down to business. Best of all, they're honest. I walked in on a busy Monday morning and asked to have my tires looked at, since they were at least five years old. The owner, Russ, was fabulous. He walked me out to my vehicle to show me that (huzzah!) my tires were only half-worn and didn't need replacing yet. (Had I strolled into another local tire place, I probably would have gotten the old, "Oh wow. You've been driving on these for how long? They must be changed immediately!"-routine.) But not Russ and his crew. The one suggestion the owner made was a tire rotation, which I took him up on. Service was speedy and the staff was very customer-friendly. Honesty in the automotive industry is so difficult to find these days. Five stars for Oriskany Garage Tire & Auto!

Took it to another garage for second opinion. Brakes did not need to be replaced at all. They wanted to sell my brakes I didn't need. Mavis did inspection, charged about $20. If they try to sell you anything beyond that, while your vehicle will still pass inspection, get a second opinion.

They have all their service in a company wide data base as well so typically they run your plates in their tablet and they know what they did the last time. They use that to upsell you as well but generally routine maintenance. I figure some day I'll learn to change my own oil and I'll never come back and will not miss jiffy lube but I generally don't feel ripped off here. Generally the wait is pretty short too, but they don't do appointments. You know... jiffy lube.

They have made bo effort to make it right and get the vehicle repaired, it was still under the bumper to bumper warranty. Their Regional manager Patrick seems to have been trained to just delay delay delay and let me tell you right now DO NOT LET THEM DELAY YOU 90 DAYS, YOU MIST REPORT IT TO THE DMV WITHIN 90! Thankfully I made it on time becasue he would have delayed us past it and faced no consequences however now NYS will be investigating their local shop. I bet when NYS is done with them they will wish they took care of it as they should with me. Just avoid them all together they are a dishonest company!
