This place was good but didn't live up to our expectations from the reviews. Hovering between a 3 and a 4 but the lackluster service brought them down - I really don't have high expectations but @ the waitress would it kill you to smile and not give us the death stare? =) The restaurant's atmosphere and the presentation of the food give it a really trendy feel but we found the food itself average after trying a lot of different places in Madrid. Note that this review is only for the food - but we didn't try any of the drinks but their bartenders looked like they were firing up some unique cocktails. For three we had: - bao - one for each of us (3 euros). Really soft bread, tender meat, crispy lettuce, topped with a unique bbq type sauce that was really good! Favourite dish and a great mix of textures. - pork tenderloins - pretty small dish (but hey only 6 euros) but really flavorful! The sweet potato chips and the apple sauce on the side were a great compliment. - ham croquettes - packed with a really goey cheese that was good but kind of drowned out the taste of the ham. Average croquette but no complaints! - patatas - their version of patatas bravas with a different sauces. The sauces were great and pretty spicy like they're supposed to be. Some of the potatoes were a little undercooked and hard, but maybe we had a bad batch. - octopus - comes covered with a dome an the presentation was really great! The potato foam under the octopus was really flavoured and made the dish. Can't pinpoint what it was, but the octopus was cooked in a unique way that gave it a (chewy?) texture and really smoky taste. I wasn't a huge fan because the flavour of the octopus itself was masked. Came out to 40 euros or 13 euros per person (note no drinks). Pretty good price but note you're paying for the modern vibe of the place rather than the food in my opinion. Definitely better tapas in Madrid to be had but still a great night out, especially for big groups! read more

Made last minute online reservation to a different restaurant. Unfortunately, the host informed us that any reservation made has to be done the day before cause they don't check the system afterwards... anyway, he was nice enough to tell me of their new sister restaurant that opened up last month (and i'm sure glad he did!) He walked us there himself (about 2-3 mins walk) and we were seated right away. We were a bit skeptical cause the place was empty, but I later remembered that the locals start their dinner late; the place was packed around the time we left. My husband and i wanted to try paella in Spain so we went with the Paella de Marisco (shellfish) and the Ensalada. Both were decently good. I just took a star off cause the food was a bit too salty for my taste, one of the waitress who brought my drink spilled it all over me and didn't even offer me a new one, and when we were leaving a waiter assumed we were Chinese and started to 'show-off' (unfortunately for him, he made a fool out of himself cause we're not Chinese). read more

One of those rare experiences where I had never had anything like this before. Among the most inventive dishes. There is no lack of imagination in their kitchen. Infusing pesto in cheese at the table. Pastry filled with cheese in the shape of cigars with a poppy (I think) ash-like garnish. Perfect tuna. Excellent wine list. This place is great! Came in for an early dinner on my first day in Madrid and had some wonderful eats. First off, the bartender (I ate at the bar) was awesome and super helpful in explaining what to get and translating a few words I didn't know. Ended up with some croquettes, potatoes bravos, salt chicken and a few house made drinks. Again, wonderful. That salt chicken sounds so simple but the presentation was, dare I say, sexy and the flavor was huge. The others, including the cocktails, were some of the best I had while in the city, and I'm pretty sure I ate croquettes at every chance I could. If you're not on a time restraint and you like keeping to yourself, this is an amazing place for dinner. I stopped in InClan Brutal for dinner, and the hostess immediately started speaking English. Understandable, I don't look Spanish or even Latin American, but when I tried to speak Spanish back because she was obviously struggling with the English, she continued to speak in English. Whatever. She told us a table was leaving in 10 minutes and to get a drink at the bar, but when we went to the bar, we were told you can only sit at the bar if you're eating there, so we had to stand behind the chairs. 5 minutes later, she comes back asking if we'd like to sit at the bar since the table would be 20 minutes. I asked her if she hadn't just said a table would be free in 10 minutes 5 minutes ago, and she said she didn't recall. Whatever. The tapas were amazing! For a bigger portion, try the veal or the chicken. For something more delicate, give the black truffle risotto a try. My favorite! However, the waiter took forever to come which was annoying, and even when we got the check it took them almost 10 minutes to notice our card on the table even after trying to haul them over for a while. Delicious tapa bar that is beautifully designed and decorated. The four of us shared 5 plates - tropical salad, burrata infused with basil, seafood paella (min of 2 people have to order this), veal, and octopus. All were very good, but my favourites have to be the burrata and the octopus. The burrata was so deliciously creamy and it the infused basil was wonderful! we stepped in here after our tour for lunch after our tour guide recommended it to us and wow, we were BLOWN AWAY by the great service we got here!!! the store wasn't that busy so they seated us right away. the server was phenomenal in making sure we had a good dining experience. the food here was great - we did the meal where you get an appetizer, entrée and dessert ( I got the cold tomato soup , potato & steak, and the jello) for less than 18 euros!. the soup and jello were unique haha but the entrée didn't let me down! we also got free sangria since we were with the tour group! **MAKE A RESERVATION** Like all the poppin' bars/restaurants in Madrid, if you want a guaranteed meal - make a reservation! I've been here twice. Once in January 2019 and the second time in March 2019. The first time I made a reservation, I was able to do it through The Fork Manager via TripAdvisor. The second time, I was having issues trying to confirm our reservation through the fork, so I used Google's reservation system (easily accessible by googling InClan). So, what brought us back? The ambiance is cool and kinda edgy. They have a more modern take on tapas, and their drinks are so unique and instagram worthy, ha! Things I've tried on their menu: - **Potato Wedges with BRUTAL Sauce: This is really their take on patatas bravas, but I AM HERE FOR IT! The brutal sauce is mayo, chipotle and coriander. If you get the super tapa, it's a good portion for 4 people - **Retired Beef Steak: A giant slab of beef on a sizzling plate with a few potatoes. My husband and I made the mistake of ordering it for two the first time. We ordered it again the second time but shared it with our friends. They do serve it a bit more on the rare side, so just keep that in mind. I did request for it to be well done, but majority of the steak was still pretty damn rare. We used the sizzling plate to cook some of the pieces. - **Pink Sangria - **Mother of Dragons: Drink comes IN a dragon egg, and kind of tastes like those old school smarties candies. Instagram worthy. - **Octopus tentacle with truffled parmentier and fume under a dome: this is literally the entire title of this dish in the menu. Could really just be a serving for 1-2 people, depending on if they feel like sharing, because it's quite literally ONE piece of tentacle. So order if you're feeling bougie and extra, don't forget to instagram it cause it looks EXTRA with the smoke. - **Brutal bao with meat cooked at low temperature and spicy sauce - "Pachon" hot dog: not one of my favorites, served in a dog bowl - Burrata injected with basil and cherry tomatoes: ordered this not knowing it's basically a giant ball of mozzarella. I mean, I love cheese but NOT THAT MUCH. **= indicates it's a favorite of mine The service is so-so. The bathroom is a bit confusing since there is both a men's stall and woman's stall in the bathroom. But overall, it's a dope place to have dinner! This place was amazing . We didn't have reservations and it was packed . We waited awhile but they worked hard to get us in and finally did with a great table. Everything we had was excellent ! The service is fast. The tapas are superb. The croquettes yay almost like cordon blue. The Spanish omelettes got disseminated my kids so out was that delicious. The patatas brava reminds me of the Bang Bang shrimp sauce. One tip though. Of you are going to use the restroom, you have to keep moving otherwise the light would turn off. read more

As an apology for the wait we got unlimited sangria....I mean, who can complain about that? When we finally got a table, they'd only prepared for four people but there were 5 in our party. Back to waiting for the right table we went but finally we were seated and ready to go. Amazing place for a meal of tapas. Went with my parents and they got the seafood paella, which was unreal and very huge for the price. Also got the tuna tartar (literally falls apart in your mouth), hummous Whig was extremely yummy, the cod confit which was also so buttery and delicious, and the box of "this is not tomato" which was a strong goat cheese.
