Let's start with the attitude received at the door. When we arrived for our reservation it was completely empty. She chose to seat us directly next to the bathroom. I said we don't want to sit here next to the bathroom she replied by this isn't the bathroom it's a closet and walked away. One minute later a woman walks out of said closet and it is indeed the bathroom (perhaps she meant water closet). We ask someone else to be moved and they again fought us saying tables were reserved but we have a reservation and it's empty. Eventually moved to a new table. This place is more about the way it looks and the funky plates and glassware to appear hip for social media than the quality of the food or service. The food we had was average but the service was poor. And man on man is it overpriced. So many better options without the attitude. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere
This is definitely a place who have to check out. I had a peppercorn margarita with two different apps. The atmosphere and service was fantastic. They want you to scan the menu and pick out what you like and then they look at your order on your phone. A little weird but so is the place. But a cool weird vibe with fantastical environment. I'm so glad I went.
How fun is this place?!? I am so glad I found this place on yelp. We were not hungry when we came in but needed a place to sit before heading to the airport. Ended up having so much fun seeing what other people ordered and ordered food on top of drinks. ARROZ MELOSO DE PATO Y TRUFA (Truffle duck risotto) - Tis is served in a duck thing. The truffle and the creaminess of the risotto made this amazing. Burrata fresca inyectada con emulsión de albahaca (burrata with a tomato and pesto injection)- I would eat this all day everyday. Presentation was A+ with your server injecting the cheese right in front of you. Super cheesy and the sauces were amazing. I literally licked the plate. I need to come back and try everything else.
Extremely garish and vibrant atmosphere! This is a swonky spot for young adults and friends. Drinks are excellent and have a very creative presentation. The food is also exciting in presentation, but some of the tastes are overpowering due to a medley of unique sauces (balsamic vinegar +soy sauce) The burrata was very fresh and delicious. But again it was served with pickled strawberries; which added to the salty- undertones off all the cuisines.
Had an amazing time at InClan Brutal with our wonderful waiter Vladimir who spoke English with us when we needed it and had great recommendations. My favorite dish was probably the kimchi scallops which were absolutely delicious and so fresh, but honestly I don't think you can go wrong with anything on this menu. The cocktails were also delicious and super fun. Prices overall are super reasonable given the quality of food and how delicious it is. Make a reservation in advance!! I will be back to try more items soon I am sure!!
I cannot begin to say enough great things about InClan Brutal! While we did not have any food, it sure did look, and smell wonderful! We went for a pure liquid diet, and were not disappointed! We were glad we came here while it was dark out, because it really set the mood inside, with the ceiling covered in roses, and the exotic drinks, shiny tables, and beautiful art on the walls. My husband and I had been to their partner bar, and had too many sugary drinks, so he requested something not sweet, and the server sure delivered! His giant, smoking dino egg arrived, much to the pleasure of the curious onlookers! I went for two drinks off the main menu, and he went for one, plus a simple martini, which he said was probably the worst he had ever had, so word to the wise, stick with the menu! The menu drinks were of course show stoppers, but they were huge, and not just all ice, I mean, actually huge! The drink vesicles were of course the stars of the show, and made the experience that much more fun! We had a reservation here first, followed by one at their sister bar. When we arrived, we were told that they were having some technical issues, and that their sister bar could accommodate us, and we could come back later. I explained to them that their sister bar, had already moved my reservation because they said that THEY had an issue too! Well, the hostess, Elena took it upon herself to walk us all the way to their other bar, and made sure we were taken care of, and that InClan would receive us when we came back. This was just so far above and beyond what I would have ever expected, and her kindness was not unnoticed!
Fun little spot for cocktails. The drinks are great, but I think it's more about Instagramming their awesome cups that are custom to each drink. Sadly, my smoky Old Fashioned (whatever they called it) came in a boring old glass. Almost ordered something else just for the 'gram.
While the interior was very intricately decorated with unique props, our dinner was quite pricey for small portions. We were surprised and entertained by how the Caesar salad was presented at the table!
We tried InClan Brutal, and we loved it! Atmosphere was very unique, food was fantastic as well as the service. Because this place is popular, I recommend you make a reservation (we tried twice without it and couldn't get in). We would definitely go back next time we are in Madrid!
Wow. What an amazing place. Great food. Amazing service and wonderful cocktails. The quality of the food was truly spectacular as well as the presentation. The restaurant in South is also a spectacular. We had the scallops which was spectacular. And the oxtail... That's worth a trip to Madrid. We got there at 5:30 PM so we got to see. Otherwise, I think we need reservations.
Fascinating hip, off the beaten path restaurant/bar/place. The decor alone was with the visit. Very eclectic vibes with great music. Drinks are extraordinary and unique to say the least. You will see what I mean when you get there! We had scallops fire touched at table. Great soft tacos served in a panda dish! Steak perfectly cooked and seared with yummy roasted potatoes. Not inexpensive but Totally worth the 100 euros for two. Fun helpful staff too. Go when in Madrid.

After a week in Spain eating traditional Spanish dishes every single meal, we were pretty much tapa'd out. With all the bread and potatoes that came with every single dish, I was surprised I still fit into the clothes I brought haha. We were on the hunt for something different, but still local. I came across InClan Brutal and was intrigued by the pictures of the food. It totally reminded me of those trendy restaurants back in Chicago that tried to separate itself from the competition with original concepts and creativity. Spring rolls that look like cigars? Hand torching strips of bacon hanging from a line? Injecting burrata with pesto sauce? They looked unique but still delicious. There was a chance that it was all a gimmick, but InClan was worth a shot. I luckily snagged a last minute reservation for 2 on The Fork. It was located along a street full of tapas restaurants right off of Puerta del Sol. We still haven't gotten used to the European standards of dinner time so it was completely empty at 6:30 PM, but jam packed by the time we left at 8. Drinks: Their red and white sangrias were great. I usually find traditional sangria to be too sweet and heavy, so I liked that their sangria was more of a blend of different elements. It was sweet enough but still very light and had a refreshing carbonation from the soda. Food: After 2 weeks of eating out, we were trying to control ourselves, but we just couldn't help but order everything off the menu since it all sounded so good. Burrata injected with pesto - This is one of those dishes that was made for the gram. They brought out a ball of soft and creamy burrata cheese, and then proceeded to inject it with a flavor burst of pesto sauce. Not only did it look pretty, but it tasted great. That soft and creamy cheese mixed perfectly with the garlicky pesto, and it was the perfect spread for the bread they gave. It was one of the more expensive tapas, but totally worth it. Potato wedges with brutal sauce - I vowed to not each potatoes for the rest of the trip after stuffing ourselves with potatoes five ways at Alhambra the night before, but I just couldn't resist after seeing pictures of the creamy brutal sauce. It was basically a bowl of fried potato wedges just covered in a tasty chipotle mayo sauce. The sauce was creamier and smokier with less tang than your typical bravas sauce. No regrets. Iberian pork sirloin with cheese sauce, sweet potato chips, and apple compote - After going hard with pretty much 4 appetizers, this was the only entree we ordered. Portion-wise we were happy it wasn't so huge that it put us over the top. This dish had an upscale type of presentation with a rustic wooden platter, perfectly assembled stacks of pork and sweet potato, and then mini dollops of apple compote along the edge. The pork was tender and flavorful and the sweet potato chips were light and crispy. We've become wary of the cheese in Spain because they seemed to love the really strong roquefort/gorgonzola/goat cheeses, which we found it really overwhelming. In this case though, this cheese sauce was very mild and had only a tolerable hint of that strong flavor. Overall it had a nice sweet and savory flavor contrast throughout. Undercooked potato omelette with black truffle pate - I like egg and potatoes, but every Spanish omelette I've had so far was a little bland and in need of seasoning. I was intrigued by InClan's version because I love runny yolks, and their undercooked version was right up my alley. On top of that, even though you couldn't see it, the black truffle was strong enough to infiltrate every bite. Great truffle flavor without being too overwhelming. Ham croquettes - We originally didn't even order these since we already got the potato wedges, but after hearing a lady at the table next to us describe them as the best croquettes she's ever had, there's no way I could've resisted. She was right. They were filled with mostly bechamel sauce and ham instead of the usual 95% mashed potato filler. Hot and crispy on the outside, creamy and cheesy on the inside...the perfect croquette. Overall, InClan Brutal was fantastic. The food was creative, delicious, and surprisingly filling. Every dish was pretty much a home run. The most shocking part was the value. I couldn't believe how cheap our bill was, given how amazed we were by our dinner. Definitely one of the highlight meals of our trip. read more
Interesting take on modern tapas here, we had a gazpacho that came in a martini glass, a burrata cheese that was injected with pesto, some ham croquettes, and a really tasty paella. Everything was fantastically tasty! I prefer a bit more traditional tapas, but what they're doing here is pretty interesting and worth a try if you're in the area. read more

My husband and I visited on our honeymoon. This place in Madrid was one of our favs...seriously to die for! Stumbled upon this on our way back to our hotel. Did book a reservation on the spot and luckily got it quickly. The decor and ambiance was so unique. Sequins on the wall, the moody lighting, and ceiling in our room reminded me of Christmas bows. The whole experience was the total dining "package." Food was delicious. Had ham croquettes, potato omelette, and truffle risotto. Everything just perfect. As I perambulated amongst the boondocks of the Spanish riviera, I had become parched. Seeking the sweet nectar of a higher society, I stumbled upon the messiah--InClan Brutal. As I entered the cathedral, I was tacken aback by the contemporary yet tasteful ambiance. The crimson forest of roses gazed upon its patrons, installing tranquility and prosperity to those who observed. Many adrink were hosted by vessels characterized by their relation to the 21st century avant-garde. Furthermore, the maitre d was both diplomatic and concise, rattling off recommendations with unequivocally perfect spanish vernacular. We then sipped the wine from Bacchus himself. Our tastebuds were stimulated to a magnitude of immeasurable heights unbeknownst to weary travelers whom haven't experienced the treasures hidden at inClan Brutal. The sonic euphoria cultivated by the disk jockey transformed a once mortal canvas into a masterpiece by none other than a celestial being. In conclusion the table was not level 3/5. read more

Before I hit y'all with the details, I strongly suggest you make a reservation. If you don't you'll either be waiting or you might get seated at the communal table up front. If that's the way you roll, then coo. But I say: make a reservation. Alright, so let's get started. Service: dope. We actually had two people serving us: Ana and Rober. They were polite and very helpful in helping us to make food and drink selections. Food: tasty. I tried the burrata injected with basil, the brutal bao, the "Pachon" hot dog, and the retired beef steak. Note: they recommend at least two tapas per person (because of the size), but the retired beef steak could be a two-person serving. It's pretty dang big. The bao was really good BUT it came solo - I suggest ordering two...or one to try first. Drinks: delicious - my favorite piece of the meal puzzle! I personally had the white sangria and the red sangria. My wife had the pink sangria and a specialty called "Mother of Dragons" (I strongly believe it's a reference to Game of Thrones). The sangrias were great, and the MoD tasted like those Smarties candies! I highly suggest trying one of their specialty drinks! They're both tasty AND served with pizzazz. Ambiance: I can only speak for a night setting but it was chill. The only thing I found strange was that our table had wheels - it didn't move too much but it was definitely noticeable. Overall, I loved this place. If I ever find my way back to Madrid, I would love to stop by again. read more
If you think that Puerta Del Sol is just full of tourist traps, you've got to make your way to Inclan Brutal Bar. They've got such yummy food with fairly creative presentation and extremely decent prices. This year Gastroletras 2018 chose Cinema Madrid as its theme which transforms 32 of Madrid's most traditional bars into artistic institutions (running from March 8 to 18) - offering tapas and menus inspired by dramas from well known movies. Inclan Brutal Bar was one if the participating bars and had the "Titanic" as its featured tapa. The Titanic ended up being a crispy "iceberg" wonton filled with creamy hot squid stew foam underneath a light cool and tangy tuna tataki with a dollop of apple coulish and and guacamole on top. I really liked the contrast of temperature and flavours in this dish and it was so interesting how they presented the tapas with the liquid nitrogen mimicking the waves of the deadly sea. And to top it off, this was only 3€ PLUS a #Mahou beer! Sadly the festival is over but I would still head over to try some of their other creative tapas. My favourite item on the regular menu would have to be the Buratta injected with basil (9€). The burratta was a dream come true - the cheese had a delicious milky flavor and the soft, stringy curd and fresh cream when mixed with the basil sauce was mouth watering. Topped with some rough seasalt and paired with a few sweet cherry tomatoes and arugula, I couldn't stop eating it and lapped up every last drop of the basil cream with bread. The Q of duck (5€) is also spectacular. It's basically a sweet, light and creamy yogurt foie gras topped with yummy sweet passion fruit. Definitely a must have! It is easy to see how it won first prize in La Liga Euroanchaos 2016. The Sardine Skewers (6€) which is actually two pieces of warm sardines baked between two slices of slightly sweetened toast which are then hung from a clothesline above a dry ice box of salad. Scoop some of that romesco sauce (a roasted red pepper and almond spread) on the toast and it's simply delicious. Eat a Cigar! (4€) was fun and whimsical. A light crispy spring roll made with Cacao bread is filled with with a whipped cod brandade and presented in a case like a box of cigars. Gazpacho is a must when visiting Spain. The Beet & Tomato Gazpacho (4€) did not disappoint. A velvety smooth thick chilled soup is served in a "brutally smashed" martini glass and topped with fresh fruit crudité. Sweet and refreshing - it would be the perfect way to get some relief from the extreme heat in the summer. The Tropical salad (8€) was like an explosion of the tropics in your mouth. Made with fresh vegetables, diced sweet mango, tomato compote, corn powder and avocado coulis, there was a nice tangy, creamy sweet mix of flavours in every bite. A trip to Spain is incomplete with having a Spanish Tortilla. The Undercooked Potato Omelette infused with black truffle pâté (6€) satisfies that craving with a beautiful browned crust, a delicious light fluffy interior, and just the perfect amount of silky oozy egg that just flows out when you cut into it. I loved how the potatos were soft and mixed with the custardy egg and truffles giving it a rich earthy flavour. Clearly this is a hidden gem as it's down a small corridor off a small side street. But easily accessible enough with handy google maps! I met a few fellow Chowhounders at the next table and they were saying that they had just been there the day before and had to come back because it was just that good! I also ended up coming back the next day for one last meal before I left the city. Make sure to check it out if you're in Madrid. read more

I had an omelette, a duck bao, and the kraken cocktail. The omelette was basic, delicious, and very filling. The duck bao was pretty good but small for the price, I probably wouldn't get it if I went again. The kraken cocktail was the star of the night and delicious, although it had a lot of ice. I got my food very quickly but it took a while to get my check after I asked for it. Overall a good experience. read more
Great food! Came here for the tapas since it was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. Everything we had here was great especially the croquettes. We also had the octopus and a steak dish that was also good. The decor is really contemporary and artsy. And there a cute outside area too. read more

Recommended by Manuel our Barrio de Letras tour guide (best tour ever), so we tried it. So good we made reservations for the next day. Plates from all 3 scenes were fantastic. Also love the red sangria and desserts. read more
Came as part of a tapas tour, so review only for food and ambiance (not service). Food is delicious here. I enjoyed the spanish omlette (the inside of the omlette is still a bit runny!). The potatoes were my favorite. That sauce could revive people. Croquettes were also pretty good, the inside is yummy cheesy mush. Ambiance also great! Casual, yet intimate. Beautifully decorated. Staff smiles at you as you walk through restaurant. read more

The front desk staff was extremely professional and fast. The food was 4 out 5 stars. The waitstaff was 5 stars and spoke very good english. The ambiance was interesting to say the least but overall customer service was 5 stars without a doubt. I highly suggest sitting at the bar to avoid a wait and there is always a wait here for dinner. Call ahead and make a reservation it will be worth it. read more

If you're looking to get a break from the traditional spanish bars but want an amazing tapas experience, InClan Brutal is the place to be. MAKE A RESERVATION. This place gets busy.. for good reason. The restaurant is trendy - low lighting and has a visible garden in the back with some seating (great photo op). While the service was great, the place is quite noisy and you can feel the frantic vibe with a long line of people waiting. The drink menu is creative and extensive. I highly recommend the croquetas - served in a mini frying basket. They were bigger than a typical croqueta and absolutely delicious. The ribs were tender and tasty and came with soft potatoes with a pesto-like sauce. We also got the potato wedges with brutal sauce - similar to bravas but with a tangy-smoke flavor. Everything was delicious and fresh and the presentation was exciting! A great place to go with a group of friends! read more

My husband and I did a ton of research before heading to Madrid on food and drinks but this place did not come up because of the enormous amount of excellent places in the city. Fortunately, I was looking for the best gazpacho in the city and InClan popped onto the map, by far our best dinner/cocktail experience in the city from the recommended "aperitivo" to the presentation of cocktails and plates to the overall quality of both, could not recommend it more. To top it off, the waitstaff is extremely friendly and attentive to your experience whether you are english or spanish speaking. Absolutely top notch, go here! read more

Our meal at Inclan Brutal was, by far, the best meal experience we've had in Madrid. The food was delicious and presented beautifully - and the amazingly friendly service put it over the top. My family of four walked in without a reservation at around 1:30 on a Wednesday. It was getting busy but we were seated immediately anyway. From the time we sat down, we were treated very warmly and given outstanding service...Alejandro, Roberto and Nico made us feel like very valued guests! They were very kind to our two teenagers as well, making sure everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Alejandro chatted with us for a time, and let us know about their sister restaurant, Rosi La Loca, which we immediately made a reservation for the following evening! Three of us ordered the menu of the day, consisting of a starter, entree and dessert (for 12.90 euros at lunch!), and my husband ordered tapas. Everything was excellent, but the taste and presentation of the tuna tataki was the absolute show-stopper! It arrived in a "boat" with smoke coming from underneath. Almost too pretty to eat! Almost. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Best to make a reservation though, they had a wait soon after we were seated! read more

Firstly, props to the recruiter who found both the Andalusian hostess and the waitress. Absolute dolls, doesn't hurt they are very beautiful too. Typical hipster menu, slightly overpriced and pretentious, but tasty and nicely executed nonetheless. Had the octopus, a small potato salad and the bavette. The octopus is my absolute favorite, and mind you, I hate truffle oil. The right texture, unexpected presentation, spectacular dish. Had the green tea panacotta for dessert and my question is, who the hell adds dark chocolate sauce to a green tea dessert? An absolute disaster. Great ambiance, beautiful people everywhere, nice music. read more
