I just finished my 30 mile training ride before the Lake to Lake (in three days), and I drove into the garage with my bike on top of my car. (emoji - hand slap to the forehead). I brought my bike in and everyone was very kind. They hooked me up with a pair of new wheels and tires after they assessed my bike. As they put on my new wheels, they made sure everything was in working order, chain double checked, greased, gears all checked, etc. They went the extra mile to make sure I was ready for my event that I was training for and they also kept me within my budget. The next day I was informed the price for which I hit 'Pay Now' and for which I received a confirmation and an order# was inaccurate. To complete the sale there would be an additional charge of ~$239. I offered to meet them halfway and pay more than their advertised price plus I offered to waive any maintenance/tuning program they offer with new purchases. LBC declined. They refused to honor their advertised price. Informed me I would need to pay $1,948 for a bicycle I thought I had already purchased on their site for $1,684 the day before. All this being said, after we could not come to an agreement, the sale was indeed cancelled and I was not charged. However, it is frustrating I was unable to complete my purchase at the advertised price, particularly after offering a reasonable compromise.
