Great spot, love their spicy chai! They are close to the Gamers Haven which is awesome, but when I visited they closed earlier than I would have liked. This place does have a little free library inside and offers free WiFi, and I think it would make a decent writing spot, especially because the seating would lend well to write-ins (think NaNoWriMo)! However, they have locked bathrooms which are seemingly for customers only. This knocks a star off from my review -- everyone should have access to bathrooms and running water.

This is one of the two locations in Spokane. I got the house-made butterscotch latte. It was very good. You could taste the butterscotch but it didn't taste like syrup or super sugary. The baristas were very friendly and kind. The shop itself would be a great place to meet a friend, get some work done or just stop in real quick. They have super cute cups, shirts and other items as well. Overall just a great option for a coffee stop.

Friendly service, great coffee, and good location. We got the house butterscotch latte ( you can order the sauce to take home!) and it was so dreamy. It pairs wonderfully with the espresso. We also took home a bag of the Guatemala single origin coffee. I

Always in search of local roasters whenever I travel and I'm glad I stopped into Indaba! They have a great selection of multiple drip coffees to choose from, which I thought was a nice touch compared to only 1-2 drip options at other coffee shops. I went with the Bowl & Pitcher blend, which has notes of toffee, milk chocolate, and honey--a smooth cup with little acidity. I picked up a bag of their Lilac City beans and I'm excited to continue sipping imbaba back home! (Btw when you buy a bag of beans you get a drip coffee for free) On top of the great coffee itself, love that this business is founded by a lifelong Spokane native who is actively involved in supporting the community.

Definitely a big city coffeehouse. Baristas said that they are opening a new store downtown across from Macy's and that this location has been here for five years. No worries about parking or paying to park at this location. My caramel latte was very smooth with no overly sugary taste and yes beautiful latte art. Stay-here ceramic cups are definitely a plus, and they have almond milk as an option, which will be next on my list of "to-try" when I'm back in the area. The eclectic furnishings (mismatched chairs and well-used tables) with the bookstore pull together a urban hip setting that is typically found in big cities. I look forward to trying Indaba Coffee at their new downtown location soon!

Lemon lavender lattes to die for. Stumbled onto this spot while passing through and boy Ann I glad I stopped. Even snagged a bag of beans.

Oh man, this place tho. I am so blessed to have found it! Right near where I am most downtown and is a super cute little shop perfect for work and just sitting down to write a Yelp review. The place smells amazing right when you walk in. The aroma of gourmet hand crafted coffee. I am in LOVE. The barista was so nice and perfectly crafted my favorite simple coffee...a vanilla latte. Super creamy, frothy, and perfect. I loved it so much. This is definitely going to be a little piece of heaven for me.

Never been here. Why? Because I'm dumb. Found good parking in the back. Walked inside, didn't expect a guy grinding coffee beans. Smelled amazing. Ordered a cold brew soda. Girl working didn't really know what it was, thankfully the baristas did. Got a maple scone as well. Why? Because I'm classy and maple is a good syrup. Wifi was fast, people were chill, coffee was great, scone was classy. Don't really know really a reason why NOT to come here. If you don't, you're doing yourself a disservice.

I'm not sure what Indaba stands for, but it should have some esoteric meaning that resonates coffee. I am going to go with the important conference of tribal leaders (Zulu or Xhosa). That Spokane merits such an important meeting house is indicative of the quality of the coffee being served. It also has a lesser meaning, that of a meeting or parley. So, I think that this coffee house wishes for all who visit to enjoy the coffee and indulge in an opportunity to meet and greet your fellow coffee drinkers. This coffee house could be moved to a larger city and would fit in perfectly with the hipster crowd. The whole vibe is aimed at the young and upwardly mobile with a hint of rebelliousness. The coffee tastes a little different from other coffees in other places. That alone makes this a place that everyone should visit at least once. The baristas who greeted me were knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant. They were there to help you and to make you a great cup of coffee. You were not interrupting their day because they were there to make your experience wonderful. There is also a collection of new and used books available for sale in the second half of the shop. One half coffee shop, one half book store. You can also buy chocolate and muffins and other interesting foods if you are hungry. I am a true Starbucks groupie but do enjoy sampling the unique coffees at local establishments. This is definitely one of the best local coffee shops in Spokane and the Pacific Northwest. Try it out, you won't be disappointed.

If you only have one stop in Spokane, make it this one…read more I stumbled in off the street on a Saturday, visiting from out of town and looking for a place to hunker down, do some work, and enjoy a real cup of coffee. Indaba didn't just check the boxes, it made me wonder why every coffee shop doesn't operate this way. Walk in and the space stops you. Exposed brick, warm wood, art on every wall, and a ceiling that opens up the whole room. The seating runs from cozy couches to high tops to proper tables. no bad seat in the house. Outlets everywhere. A conference room available to rent. Whoever designed this place actually thought about the people using it. The staff made us feel welcome without trying too hard. That's a skill. We ordered hot and iced mochas and both were dialed in. My wife went bacon avocado toast, creamy avocado against crispy bacon, exactly right. I had the sunbutter banana toast and almost ordered a second one. We grabbed an apple fritter to go. It didn't survive the drive. The background music hits just right, easy listening layered under the natural buzz of a full, happy room. Prices are exactly what you'd expect to pay for coffee done well. Before you leave, browse the retail wall. Solid selection of beans to take home, plus some genuinely cute goods worth picking up. This place has real soul. You'll feel it.

This is the best coffee I've ever had. I actually look forward to getting up and drinking this…read morecoffee. After years of drinking coffee, for the caffeine, I REALLY enjoy this coffee. I found a deal on a coffee maker with a grinder that grinds the beans right before brewing. I chose their whole bean because I want to grind right before brewing for freshness, but all of their coffee is freshly roasted before they ship. I first purchased a combination of light and dark roasted beans because I wasn't sure the dark roast would be like other coffees which are always strong, bitter and awful. This is not. I bought the light roast, for the caffeine, to combine, but we keep buying this combination because it's so good! Recently, we were gifted with coffee from Honduras. It didn't compare nor does any of the coffee people wait in long lines to pay expensive prices for. I'm not one to follow the crowd, so standing in long lines to pay a lot for bad coffee will never happen. I am, however, going to continue to purchase this coffee because it tastes good. One of the qualities that makes this coffee so good is the fact that the beans are roasted weekly. If you order before they roast, they will ship it in two days. It's the freshest coffee I've had and that makes the difference! You'll likely be pleasantly surprised not only by the coffee, but by the wonderful customer service. The owners are personable and care about their customer base. You'll see what I mean if you order. If you want a fresh coffee, that's not bitter with pleasant undertones you can actually taste, then I highly recomended this coffee. You won't be disappointed.

This coffee is as good as it gets! I've been buying their coffee for over a year now and I love it!read more
